I seriously regret buying my vehicle from this dealership…read more Within just a few weeks of driving it off the lot, the check engine light came on. Shortly after that, the battery light started flashing. Then I found out it was already due for an oil change. This was supposedly a "fully inspected" and "ready-to-go" vehicle. Clearly, that inspection either never happened or wasn't done properly. It's incredibly frustrating to spend thousands of dollars on a vehicle, trusting that the dealership has done its due diligence, only to end up dealing with mechanical issues almost immediately. I feel completely misled. A reliable vehicle shouldn't come with warning lights and maintenance problems before you've even made your first payment. When I reached out about the issues, I was met with excuses instead of solutions. No accountability, no urgency -- just a lot of runaround. Service department diagnosis vehicles off of CARFAX! I was already on the hook for ~$200 when I complained the general manager said too bad and because he didn't like my tone made me pay cash to get my truck back. I bought the truck and plow from them ~15 years ago and had them service both over the years. The lights weren't working on the plow, on an old truck and they wanted $500 to tell me what's wrong but could not guaranty that they could tell me what was wrong. I suggest that they are incompetent.

He didn't charge us and helped us get back on our way without any dashboard lights threatening the last legs of our trip. Incredibly kind and great service. Highly recommend if you're in the area.

I got stranded and had to have it repaired by a Ford dealership so I could safely get home before the ice storm that was coming. The Ford dealership put in writing that the damage was consistent with Wells River Chevy Dealership's mistake, and I have all repair invoices, photos, and documentation. This dealership is refusing to take responsibility or reimburse me for their negligence. I am lucky I was not seriously injured due to their mistake. Basically, trying to go after a light stop or climb a hill was painstakingly slow and dangerous. So we stopped at the first service center we could find. About 45 minutes later, transmission fluid was poured in, a part replaced, and we were out the door for $90. Hourly rate is $60 and we were only charged for 30 minutes so I am appreciative that we appeared to be getting a good deal. Thankfully we made it home but the check engine light was still on when we pulled away from the center. Not sure if it's because they didn't know how to turn it off or if the repair that was done wasn't enough to turn the light off, but I am glad we didn't have to spend a night and were able to get the car fixed right away.
