Absolutely the worst. Miserable attitude too. I brought in two vintage clocks for repair, explained the problems with both. Repair man said "No problem" promised both were easily within his scope of abilities and he'd have them ready in a week or two, so I left both clocks with him. I heard nothing for several months so I called for an update, got a gruff, "I've been busy" reply. I called again after my clocks had been there FOR ONE FULL YEAR and was told they'd be ready for pick up in two days. I picked up and immediately noticed one clock had not been repaired at all. I asked the same person why and he said it was just too difficult, so he wouldn't charge me for that one but the other clock was fixed and he charged me $300. Pretty steep for the work that was supposed to be done, but I paid and left. I got home and the "repaired" clock ran for about 30 minutes, same as before. I took it to another clock repair shop and he found the clock had a small whittled down piece of WOOD stuck in place to keep the clock running for a brief period and HAD NOT been repaired at all. If the man at Expert Repairs reads this review, he'll remember the clocks. I was completely ripped off by this unethical repair man. I've found a different and honest repair shop who charges a fair price and actually does the work he says he'll do. read more

The owner here is a real jerk. In the last month alone, I've spent $45 on watch batteries (not to mention over the years) and went in yesterday to have a band put on. He wanted to charge me $10 to do it! I have never heard of anyone charging to put on a band which literally takes seconds for them to do! Even charging $15 for a watch battery, particularly when it's not a fine watch, is also over-inflated. He started getting very nasty when I balked at him charging me and went into some tirade about Costco which didn't even make sense. I just left. I will never be back. He's a cheap jerk who doesn't value loyal customers. I don't recommend going here at all. Updated to add: NO ONE HERE DID OR HAS EVERY DONE ANYTHING FOR FREE! THAT IS A TOTAL LIE!! I was totally disappointed at the service at this place. I took two of my Native American vintage watch cuffs. I wanted to install a turquoise in one of them and a lapis lazuli stone on the other. Both are cabochon cut to be put instead of a watch. My complaint is how unprofessional the guy was in handling my jewelry at the end . He put some jeweler's glue to set each stone on the center in which he manipulated the prongs and he completed the job by getting glue all over the stones and in the silver metal by the edges I just couldn't believed what messy job he left. I told him that I was concerned for the glue to ruined the stones, in which he replied that using a toothpick will clear and take out the glue and that he does this all the time to take the glue off a glass from a watch. I was thinking to myself that these are porous gem stones. He told me that I could start taking the glue off in 24 hours after the stone are set and the glue has dried. I was so excited to have this job done to enjoy my cuffs but instead I feel it was a rip off and an insult to my sense of what is satisfactory professional jewelry repair. There is glue in my stones and it's hard and the toothpick is not doing what he told me it would do and in the process of trying to clean the mess that he left a lot of the patina on my cuff has rubbed off the irony of this is that the name of this shop is "expert repair" read more

I returned to Expert Repairs for an overhaul on a vintage watch with a rather unusual automatic movement. The watch was from the 1970s and, more likely than not, was never serviced (top tip: if you like your watch, get it serviced regularly). It was running really fast and the power reserve was non-existent. Expert Repairs did a great job bringing this watch back to life. It's running very well now with substantially improved accuracy. It was not an inexpensive service BUT Expert Repairs increased the value of the watch beyond the cost of their hard work. More importantly, the watch is just a joy to wear. Great job! read more
