This was my first time visiting Expert Nail & Spa so I called ahead for an appointment and was told they had someone who could take me in 15 minutes, the time it would take me to get there. Wonderful! Cindy was my nail technician and she did an amazing job. I wasn't sure exactly how things would turn out--I've had a full set (acrylic nails) with gel polish before but never have had nail art done. I chose what seemed to me an easy design for me to start with and one the salon would be able to handle well. I'm not certain if the salon does much of this kind of embellishing its manicures because Cindy didn't have a whole lot in the shop to choose from, but she still managed to craft a design I am happy with. I do wonder, though, if I'll be able to get future designs when I step up my nail art requests. I sure hope so because Cindy was so great at building my nails and designing them. read more

I feel that they don't speak good enough English to understand what we would want also I was trying to talk to my nail tech and she was being very disrespectful and rolling her eyes at me. Let me preface this: Do not come here if you want a "quick" mani or pedi. Nothing about this salon is "quick" AT ALL. I think good nail salons in Evansville are far few and in between. I came to this salon after having gone to another salon earlier in the week. Yes, the other mani barely lasted 3 days. I am in town for business and really needed my nails to do look great so I scheduled an appointment at this salon. I came in on a Saturday and had my appointment scheduled for 3pm. I came in 5 mins beforehand. I was greeted by a woman in the first station. I signed in on a clipboard and took a seat. There were about 6 people seated already so there wasn't tons of space. Now here is where the fun begins... 3:30pm came by and still nothing. I waited for HALF HOUR even with an appointment and I still wasn't acknowledged or asked to pick out a color. It seems as though most of the people who were at this salon were returning customer so as a new customer I didn't know where they have their color options and which is shellac and dip. It wasn't until about 3:50pm that I was seated the station. Even then I was finally asked to pick out my nail color. While I was picking it out it seems as though the manager or owner helping me was trying to multi task by getting other customers helped. She would tell me to wait while getting another customers nails soaked. She finally started on my nails after about 10 minutes. I chose to do the dip powder since all of my friends rave about it. Although I wasn't happy about the wait I understand why this place has such a wait. Although she was micromanaging in the beginning the nail tech took her time removing my old polish and buffing out my nails. She was very meticulous and detail oriented. I opted for a pink dip ombré and she spent time layering on the gel coats and dip. I'd rather wait to have a nice set than someone rush and make me come back. The nail tech then proceeded to tell me that they have a new punch card system so for every time you pay cash, you get a discount after 10 visits. Would I come back? Yes but I'd make sure I had no where to be or anything to do. You'll have some pretty nails by the end but expect to wait. read more

First of all, the man doing my friend and I's pedicures was absolutely one of the rudest people I've ever spoken to in a nail salon. He was aggressive, scoffed, and was giving very dirty looks to us the entire time. Secondly, one woman began doing my full set, only to stop and make someone else finish them halfway through to do another girl's nails even though she showed up 30 minutes before her appointment. I had 3 different techs switch off doing my nails. Not to mention, another tech made multiple of my friends nail beds bleed, and she still had to pay full price. I do not recommend and will not be returning to this establishment. read more

I then told her we called ahead and she was like oh ok nevermind then. So I filled out the check-in paper then I was about to sit down and get ready to look at my color when I was rudely told I had to wait outside and would be called when it was my turn keep in mind there was only two other girls there I was sitting on the other side of the room from them. If I could give them NO stars I would. Walked in. Had two people ahead of me and and waited over an hour. I was in town visiting my mother and didn't think I would make it home to get to my regular shop in time. The little blonde man who finally decided to work after his pedi he did came over with the WORST attitude in the world. And then the older women working said something in Korean or whatever he disappeared for 20-30min before I called over to Gallery nails and had them put me down to shoot over there. I was in and out of gallery with great service in less time than I sat around for nothing at Xpert. I'll be leaving them a good review after I finish this one. Do not recommend this place at all. well to start off with when i first came in,they were kind of confused to where i should sit. and then the girl asked me what i wanted so i told her stiletto and they looked at me like i was crazy.so she started on my nails and then had me move to another girl. it wasnt bad at first but then she made some my nail beds bleed because she kept hitting my skin with her drill. it hurt a lot but she kept going and we still had to pay full price. then she kept going on her phone while she was doing my nail.my nails are uneven,bumpy.not what i asked for at all. the vibe was 50/50. it was ok in the begging then just went south from there. i do not suggest this place read more

Went for the first time and the nail tech messed up my nails. It seemed that she didn't know what square round was. She had the owner file my nails and that wasn't better. After filing my nails, I hardly had nails left. They were a bit shorter than I expected. I ended up just paying for my pedicure and did my nails myself. I will not return to that shop. Awful at pedicures. The person doing my pedicure didn't trim my cuticles/hangnails, buff my nails, or buff my callouses. My feet are just as crusty as before and the polish application is uneven. I can see my nails through the polish in spots, and he didn't clean the polish off my cuticles. I can, and have, done a better job at home. Waste of money. Do not recommend. read more

Nail tech did a good job of taking his time. However, not a big enough gel color selection. Was a little thrown off by nail tech using a pair of nail clippers and then just wiping it off with a spray bottle of what I'm assuming might be rubbing alcohol. But I am content with my nails. read more

My friend and I called an hour in advance and were told to just come anytime and there would be availability. It was packed when we got there and after we signed in, picked our colors, and sat down to wait, we sat for over half an hour without once being approached or talked to. The lady who did my nails was great, however my friends manicure and pedicure was very rushed and painful for her. Her nails were uneven and had stuff all under the polish. She asked for her nails to be square, which they were not! Her feet were very rough after. The worker splashed her with water multiple times. I just waited an hour and a half to get my nails done. And ended up leaving. Approximately 4 women walked in after me and got everything taken care of ! My daughter is only six and was very excited to come here. Walked in with a very good first impression, and was going to make it my go to spot, if I liked it! Horrible service . The new lady who took over is nice & all, but she's always on her personal cell phone taking personal calls & FaceTimes while doing my nails. She's slow, not consistent, and lied to me when I asked would the other older lady be in to do my nails later. She told me it was her off day and then one by one every other person that worked there came in! She makes the other workers split their tips with her, after I specifically said it only went to the lady who did my toes.
