    Streetlegal - 2 12 inch subs

Absolutely amazing service! Must read!!!…read more I brought my car into Streetlegal about 4 years ago to get tinted out. Recently my back window started to show age and a few bubbles along the heat strips and called the shop to address the situation. I was told that everything was covered under warranty and scheduled an appointment for later that week. Upon arrival, Rigo did a walk through of my car with me addressing all areas of concern that I had and took the car in for repairs. I was told that it would be completed in about 4 hours so I left to get a few things done. About 3 hours later I got a call stating that everything was good to go. This is where it gets interesting and where I totally recommend these guys!!! As most car owners know, you value your investment and know it's every inch. The morning of the retint, I washed all the windows, highlighted all areas of concern I had and pointed them out to the manager. Upon picking up the vehicle, I noticed an inch long slice in the front passenger tint. How could I have not seen that before? Idk! I thought that it was from their team and done during the installation as I was having a front windshield banner installed that day as well. As I addressed it with Rigo (and not in the greatest of ways as I was heated), he pulled up the cameras and patiently allowed me to review them. From what I saw after nearly 30 minutes of not blinking to ensure nothing was missed, it was undetermined if in fact his team did the damage or not. I felt bad at this point. Prior to leaving the facility and talking to Rigo, he would not let me leave or pay until he could address the situation and make it right. Regardless of not being able to take ownership of the issue, he stepped up and did. He owned it and demanded that he be allowed to fix it free of charge. I was not only ashamed but amazed at his cool demeanor and willingness to step in. I left the car that afternoon and allowed them to take care of the additional window. The next morning I swung by to grab the car and pay the bill. Not only was my car parked inside overnight but looked to be washed as well. The windows look great and will definitely be recommending these guys for all tinting needs. Well done!

He remembered me from 1991 when he installed a stereo in my 1981 Toyota Celica. When we were discussing the security system for my BMW, we talked about the system he installed in my Celica. He detailed the components like he installed them last week. A short time ago, my security system wasn't working right so I contacted Paul. He asked me to bring in my car and he would take a look at it. When I got there, one of his technicians, Jason Salas, noticed that the wire to the antenna at the top of the windshield was not hooked up to anything. I told him that I recently had my windshield replaced and that the two sided tape holding the thing up there came loose. Not knowing what that thing was, I disconnected it and put it in my car somewhere . Paul asked me where it was. I told him it fell off the windshield because it was not attached right and that it was in the car somewhere. After we found it, Jason put it back in place with some good two-sided tape and the alarm worked right again. I told Paul I was amazed at how quickly Jason diagnosed the problem. He told me "Jason was Installer of the Year in the entire country as recognized by the Mobile Electronics Retailers Association back in '06/'07." Paul and Jason are the kind of people who work at AMS and that's the kind of service I've been getting there since 1991. I highly recommend AMS for their selection of quality car stereo equipment, automobile security systems and especially for the people who install everything they sell."

I went to AMS to have DynaMat installed in my front doors. For those not familiar with the product,…read moreit's additional insulation to reduce road noise with the added benefit of retaining more sound from your speakers. It also makes your doors sound more solid when closed and eliminates rattling/vibration. Unless AMS installs it. The rattles and vibrations from my doors/windows has increased dramatically since this "work" was done. They got me in one time to see what they could do and said they couldn't find anything loose in my doors. Wish I had saved my money as the road noise was much more tolerable than my windows and doors rattling with every small bump in the road or my speakers. Edit: Thank you for the long-winded and unnecessary explanation. None of what you wrote justifies my car sounding worse than it did before the installation. I realize things loosen up over time but if you recall, I initially made the complaint shortly after the install and was told nothing could be done after my door was taken apart by you a second time. My doors didn't rattle before and they did after, simple as that.

This is the 3rd window replaced on this Subaru Ascent. I've used them previously on my Kia as well…read more Let's start with the good. The windshield is replaced, looks secure, didn't leak, and my "Eyesight" cameras have zero errors. The bad. The trim on the exterior was improperly installed allowing leaks into the engine bay. I properly installed it. When pointing this out, customer service pointed out I now voided any warranty. When leaving, I noticed I had a headlight out on the passenger side. When opening the hood to investigate, the hood prop was loose and dangling dangerously over my drive belt, the inner fender trim was loose and creased, and the filter box was tampered with. Generally, I do my own oil changes and last week when last under the hood, everything was fine. Since the box was open, I noticed the $50 k&n filter is gone and a no name generic was in its place. Not something I check regularly, but with all the other issues in that general area, it's suspicious. It appears the trim was damaged looking for the missing hood prop grommet. I won't be taking my vehicle back there to be corrected. The trust is gone. For the premium price tag they demand, I expect a higher level of professionalism. I did not ask for compensation, nor was any offered. If I am forced by my insurance to use this shop again, it won't be dropped off and left unsupervised and I'd advise anyone else forced to use them to do the same.
