Inside the ride, where we stopped when thunderstorm closed the ride. Dang! So close.

I. LOVE. This. Ride. Thankfully Husband indulges my love for it by accompanying me for the first ride, and acquiesces when I please, please, PLEASE request a second ride when the line is nonexistent to return for that extra ride. But he has his limits, and a third ride is out of the question. Expedition Everest is a roller coaster that affords a magnificent view of Animal Kingdom as you go up and up to see the Yeti tear apart the tracks. It is thrilling to go backwards AND forwards. The front seat is the best, unless you like the snap the whip effect of the back - and I do! I look forward to riding it again when we rerun at the end of April 2025.

Track appears to be in shambles! You'll have to ride to find out what happens next

Great ride- we rode it twice (thank you lightning lane) We thoroughly enjoyed it. I highly recommend riding.

When I think of Disney and my childhood I'm always brought back to this ride--a true classic. It was one of the first thrill seeks rides that I was brave enough to go on and to this day I still get the same enjoyment. One of the best parts about this ride is the line is typically under 30 minutes and it's a decent length for a rollercoaster! I love the build and anticipation this ride gives on your emotions and the play on your mind. One of the worst parts is the ride is outside and with Florida showers it often gets delayed which is a down fall.

This was my absolute favorite ride in Animal Kingdom! Although, I have to warn you. That very first climb is very high & steep. You may not want to look down if you're afraid of heights. Haha! It was a very chilly morning after a cold front. What does that mean? Well, it means that you may not want this in your rope drop strategy as your first choice on a very cold morning. It needs multiple test rides without passengers just to be safe. It didn't even open until just before our 8am-ish time slot, with early entry at 7:30am that day. We were aboard our Expedition vehicle in no time. I didn't really have enough time to worry about motion and height. What I will say is that it gave me GOTG: Cosmic Rewind vibes during the backwards ride on the way down. It was the sudden bumpy twists and turns that made me realize it was different. It's not a smooth ride at all. Lol! I quickly laid my head back on the headrest to prevent any jerking motions, and watched as everything passed by so quickly. My husband didn't seem to love that part. I heard him say, "Thiiiiis Suuucks" on the way down. I'm pretty sure that I saw the Yeti twice. It was one time on a screen in a dark part of the mountain. Then, a second time above us. He's looking down at us before leaving the mountain. He looked monstrous at that point. Maybe not as scary as it once was when it was moving (it doesn't appear to move anymore), but it's fun to look for him. The Yeti sightings are real on this ride. I would most definitely ride this one again. It's Lightning Lane worthy in my opinion. It's not just a roller coaster ride. It has a story, and some very cool elements. You'll see that as you make your way into the mountain range. A must when you're visiting Animal Kingdom.

Expedition Everest!! Best ride in the park!!

BEST, MOST EXCITING roller coaster ride at Animal Kingdom! It's a MUST ride while at the park ! They run 4 or 5 cars at a time, so the line moves quickly!! Fun, FAST, Dark, forward and BACKWARDS!! It's a BLAST!!

From a bit away!

Fun roller coaster, probably best and only other ride you really need to do after the soaring Avatar Flight of Passage ride here - highest but not the craziest initial drops, easy to keep your pack inside the coaster, and you have a mini story around the yeti and you'll go up, down, around, and also backward at one point! A lot of fun, my little one loved it and wanted to go again. There's a single rider line that can get you through if you don't mind breaking up the party. Or get the Genie+ and you can get through in five minutes! Line isn't too bad later in the day (as most people hop to another location, there aren't fireworks at night in this park).

Expedition Everest is located in Disney World's Animal Kingdom. You can't miss it because of the huge Mt. Everest prop towering over. The drop was very steep and it even went backward too. This ride looked cool and was a super cool rollercoaster ride too.

Joseph G.

Expedition Everest is a Disney animal Kingdom roller coaster and thrill ride that is located towards the back of the park and features a beautiful snow mountain scene for the ride and coaster track. The coaster which is one of the very few roller coasters across the Disney parks is a yeti themed ride. Not based off any movies or shows (be cute to do the snow monster from monsters inc maybe if they decide to commercialize it more) but is still I'd say one of the my kids top 5 rides across all 4 Disney parks. The height requirement is not that tall for a roller coaster which means it has been a few of my kids first ever roller coaster experience and it is a fun one. You ride through the track of the beautiful snow mountain theme and encounter the yeti through caves and eventually a broken track! The. The coaster hits reverse and the thrills really begin. Overall a very fun and popular ride that tells a cute and fun story while riding it. Also while being very popular the wait lines are never too crazy. Maybe 45 min at its peak on most our visits but you can time it right and have less then 10 minutes throughout the day.

All these years later and still the best ride at Disney. Others might be newer and smoother, but Expedition Everest remains the King.

It turned out to be a magical day, and now I can't stop thinking about going back! I didn't love the rides. I had no chance to ride the Guardians rollercoaster due to ridiculous lines. A few "dark rides" (Caballeros, Nemo, and Ratatouille), weren't bad as shelter from the scorching Florida heat. The real magic is in entering "flow state" and wandering the world showcase areas. The architecture and atmosphere draws you in and scratches that international travel itch. There are so many nooks, crannies, and hidden treasures to explore - from unique shops to themed restaurants. The real stars were the excellent food and drink options. The food from the numerous themed stands and stalls is ridiculously good and priced fairly. Drinks are very expensive but a memorable part of the visit. My favorites were the cajun food (poboy and gumbo) and the famous fish and chips. The margaritas at La Cava de Tequila were astoundingly good (with a pricetag to match). For adults who don't need a ton of high-G roller coasters, EPCOT is just about perfect. I can't wait to return.

The Mine Blower was physically uncomfortable and I was there too early right when the park opened to grab a funnel cake. Not the best coaster I've been on, it's wooden and you feel every turn in a jerking way. Some decent hang time and a fun opening drop but everyone in my car each time was glad when it ended. The park itself however looks nice and accessible which is what I like about the place. Parking is free(preferred spots for season pass holders); admission is free so it makes for a nice third place with the family; and there are rides for all ages, ability, and tolerance. Like other locations you can pay per ride or purchase a day or season pass. There's an arcade and dining options and a saloon. It's also attached to a boardwalk type attraction with restaurants and shops. Makes for an affordable outing. Season pass for all parks was $90. Wear walking shoes. If it is spring or summer, bring sun screen. -be prepared for LOTS of people (if they drive like they walk, no wonder the US has such a high vehicular fatality rate). Be patient. -be prepared to overpay for just about everything. But oddly, the $300 per person multi-park ticket is a good deal. Why? Because you get so much entertainment. There are loads of Disney employees everywhere who are friendly and ready to help with any questions. They all are paid, so the $300 is actually not a bad deal when you consider how many employees there are in each park, how clean the parks are, and all the upkeep to maintain the animals and rides. -if you get tired, and you will, take a break. It's not fun if you get so tired that you get cranky. -Don't forget to enjoy the smiles on the kids' faces!

Now that I've experienced both, I think I'm good. We mainly went for Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, which was definitely the highlight of the day. I pre-purchased Lightning Lane and Single Passes, and while they helped for a few rides, it still felt difficult to accomplish everything we wanted. No times ever opened up for Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway, so we ended up waiting in the regular standby line for over an hour. Slinky Dog Dash never became available either, and eventually we just gave up. I honestly don't know where all these people come from -- every Disney park visit seems packed no matter what day we go! One thing I highly recommend is making advance reservations for Oga's Cantina. We were very happy we planned ahead because walk-up wait times were over an hour. I know Hollywood Studios is undergoing a lot of changes in 2026, so hopefully future visits will feel a little more balanced and fulfilling.

The lines were super short, so the students were able to ride things 3-4 times with no problem, which made it even more worth it. One of the best deals was the all day dining pass (you have to buy it online). For $24, you get 2 meals and a snack, which is a steal compared to the regular menu prices. Our first stop was Cluckees where we had tenders, wings, and fries. The portions were HUGE and everything was tasty, especially the fries. None of us could even finish our food! For our snack, we grabbed ice cream. The kids loved it, but it wasn't my favorite. Later, we went back to Cluckees for a chicken sandwich and fries for dinner. This time it wasn't as good as earlier. Maybe a different cook or just an off moment. We didn't spend time in the arcade and stayed mostly outside. The park is a pretty decent size with plenty to do. Even as the day went on and traffic picked up, it never felt overly packed. The staff was friendly and very laid back, which added to the relaxed vibe of the day. Overall, it was a good experience. The kids really enjoyed it. I'd give it a 3.5. Btw I think there is a bee problem there. I saw bees flying around often. Not enough to ruin the experience, but I definitely noticed them.
