The space was very lovely, spacious and convenient parking wise. All the teachers and students were friendly. During classes I appreciated each teacher as they all have their own personality and provided a safe place to really re-ground. My last class was the candlelight on Thursday and instantly after class I thought, I'm really going to miss this studio. I hope to visit again when I'm in town. Super clean and cozy. As a beginner yogi, I am always wanting feedback on my form, and I appreciated that the instructors would stay after and answer any questions I had and also give me additional feedback. However, my latest experience after the 30 day trial wasn't the best, and I don't think I'll be returning. I attended my first aerial level 2 class, and I felt like a burden the entire time. It appeared that everyone was already well bonded--which was fine, but there wasn't much explanation behind any of the poses, and it was expected that I know poses that were completely foreign coming from level one. This was really discouraging, and I know I have a lot of room for growth in my practice, but I'd rather do it in a space where I feel comfortable with where I am in my practice.

I started with Mary B's power hour - probably one of the most difficult classes I've ever taken! Mary is incredibly knowledgeable and she did a wonderful job of both challenging me and adjusting moves to my level. I can only speak for Annie and Mary, but if you get a chance to take one of their classes, I highly recommend it. Honestly, prior to finding these great instructors, I was not a fan of Yoga - now, I love it and do it multiple times a week.

It's very uncomfortable to be so squeezed in and so close to your neighbor that it's hard to do some poses. Also when you're sweating profusely no one wants to be that close together. Especially for $26 a class I expect to have space. Not show up and have to ask people to squeeze together their mats because there doesn't seem to be room for us even though we booked in advance? Also it seems that many people crammed in a room like that has to be against fire code. It is really frustrating that it seems they don't manage the amount of people who sign up for the classes or put a cap on it. Like we easily couldn't not had a spot and we signed up/paid in advance. Please Hot Yoga put a lower cap on classes so we can better enjoy the experience!

All of the instructors are amazing (I especially love Rachel and Lydia), and Sabine and Aly (the owners) have set up a relaxing and inviting space. There is a beautiful patio outside of one of the studios that you can practice on, but you can also stay inside if it's too hot or cold for you. Teachers teach from the space between, so you have options. Bolsters, blocks, towels, blankets, straps, cups for water, and mats are available at no extra charge. There are also bins to put your belongings in as well as a changing room. The bathroom is stocked with hair ties, bug spray, spray deodorant, and other items you might need. I was initially hesitant to join because NOWyoga costs slightly more than other studios in Cville, but it's well worth the price. The instructors are very personal and are willing to talk before and after class about specific postures or struggles, and I find that the classes I attend provide a challenge without feeling overwhelming. It can be stressful to start a new workout routine or join a new studio, but the staff have really helped my transition into a new routine and to a new city. I feel like I have joined a community. I am always so excited to go to class, and I always feel so refreshed after. NOWyoga is a great studio for people of all ages and levels, and I can't recommend it enough!

The yoga is just amazing because now it stretches everything out and you get a cool down. It's such an all-around exercise and very balanced. One of the other things I really like about this is even though you're in a class, you workout at your pace and at your endurance level.
