Blew out my front left tire; there was a baseball-size hole in the wall of the tire. I maneuvered the car onto the left side of the road onto the grassy shoulder. Just my luck...and it was raining out. IRONICALLY, I was on my way to RNR Tire Express in downtown Suffolk with four brand new tires that I wanted them to switch out with my old tires...LOL *facepalm* I called 4-5 tow truck companies, and one of them finally referred me to Eastover. I called them, and thankfully, they had a tow truck available right away! I had also called 9-1-1, and spoke to Suffolk PD Dispatch, requesting a patrol car come by and help divert traffic so the tow truck can safely secure my car and drive away. About twenty minutes after I got off the phone with 9-1-1, Kyle the tow truck driver/owner arrived. The patrol car hadn't arrived yet, but luckily there was a Suffolk PD Lieutenant driving by in his unmarked vehicle. He saw the tow truck backing down towards my car on the shoulder, so he turned on his lights and parked his car about 20 feet behind us to help divert traffic. Another ten minutes went by, and my car was secured on the back of the tow truck. I even saw Kyle double check to make sure my car was properly secured on the back of his tow truck before we left. We were able to safely get back on the highway and off to my original destination. Eastover is a small shop, already known for their auto service and repairs, but they also run a tow truck service too! HUGE shoutout to Kyle the tow truck driver and that Lieutenant from Suffolk PD for coming in clutch! It was a great team effort overall. Kyle was very courteous and professional.

If you're looking for honest, high-quality auto maintenance and repair with exceptional customer…read moreservice, look no further than Frank at A+ Towing and Recovery Auto Center. From the moment I walked in, Frank treated me with respect and genuine care. He took the time to thoroughly explain what was going on with my car in terms I could actually understand--no pressure, no upselling, just straight talk and solutions. It's clear he takes pride in his work and values his customers. Not only was the service done right the first time, but the pricing was also incredibly fair. In fact, compared to other quotes I received, Frank saved me hundreds without cutting corners. He even went above and beyond by checking on a few other things at no extra charge--just to make sure I was safe on the road. The shop is clean, well-organized, and professional. You can tell this is a place that values quality and integrity over fast gimmicks. I've been to many mechanics over the years, but this is the first time I've felt 100% confident in recommending someone. If you need reliable auto repair, trustworthy advice, and top-notch service, Frank at A+ Towing and Recovery is the guy to call. Thank you again, Frank--you've earned a lifelong customer!

Had my car towed, because it was giving a code for the throttle position circuit fault code P2100…read more My code reader is older and I informed them of that when they picked it up and asked them to check everything especially the electrical system to the throttle body assembly. Frank informed us, he would run and test the electrical system. He ended up finding the throttle body was worn. He didn't tell me of any other codes on the car, nor was anything stated on the paperwork. We picked the car back up. Upon pickup we were told the plugs and air filter needed replaced. Which is something I can do on my own. They released the car. Drove it home just fine. It sat there over the weekend as we don't use that car. Come Monday, same issues came back. Contacted the shop again, they picked the car back up. After inspecting it again, we were told the MAF sensor, Camshaft position sensor B were both bad. We agreed to have those fixed but the shop refused to without allowing them to do the plugs and system cleaning as well. Over 1800$ when finished, this doesn't include the 800$ we just spent to have the throttle body replaced. I don't believe a shop should refuse to repair the diagnosed faults simply because I wanted to handle routine maintenance myself. Frank, put the car back together, partly, the MAF sensor was never secured back down and gave us one day to get it off his property. I also showed his tow truck driver the unbolted sensor. I didn't appreciate being told the shop would not perform the diagnosed repair unless I also authorized additional maintenance that I intended to do myself. Yes, the spark plugs needed to be replaced, I had them ordered to replace. This wasn't the issue causing the electrical fault on the system. No misfire faults from any cylinder. He said he didn't want to bandaid the car, but he had no issues letting us take it the first time and just tell me the maintenance issues. I later replaced the camshaft position sensor and the mass air flow sensor myself for about $150 at advance auto. Including the spark plugs and air filter I had already planned to replace, my total out-of-pocket cost was about $225. Took me less than 1 hour to replace the parts. If I went with the shop recommendations, I would be put almost 3000k and still have a car that doesn't run because of an Electrical issue! Now after replacing everything Frank had on his list, no faults cleared. The original issue I sent it to that shop that Frank told me to my face, he would scan everything on that system and let me know. He was VERY adamant that it wasn't electrical. Now it seems like it's the original Electrical problem I sent it to the shop for! So not only did the shop not fix the original issue I sent it to the shop for, he gave me a list of items that was not the main concern nor fixed the issue after I corrected his list. Donnie the tow truck driver was amazing. He took pride in what he did. He was safe and was careful with our car. Thank you Donnie, we greatly appreciate everything. Leah was also very respectful and nice.
