When my husband and I decided to join Orange Theory Fitness, it wasn't just a leap into the world…read moreof fitness; it was more like a cannonball into a pool of sweat, high-fives, and occasional tears (the good kind, mostly). Let me paint you a picture of our journey, peppered with a dash of humor, because, let's face it, if you can't laugh while you're gasping for air, are you even working out? From the get-go, Orange Theory was like that friend who says, "Trust me, it'll be fun!" as they lead you blindfolded into unknown territory. The workouts? Challenging but somehow, against all odds, fun. It's like playing a game where the rules keep changing, but you're too busy enjoying the music and the endorphin rush to notice. Every session feels like a surprise party for your muscles - they never know what's coming, but they're sure as heck going to celebrate afterward. The heart rate monitoring system is a game-changer. It's like having a personal cheerleader who's also a bit of a nerd, constantly feeding you stats and encouragement. "You're in the green zone!" it says, and you can't help but push harder, aiming for the orange zone like it's the last slice of pizza at a party. Watching your progress in real-time is more addictive than scrolling through memes at 2 AM. It's a visual pat on the back, a high-five from technology itself, telling you, "Hey, look at you go! You're on fire!" (Figuratively, of course. Please consult a trainer if actual flames are involved.) The variety of exercises ensures that boredom is a word left at the door, along with your fears and that third slice of cake you were considering. Each day is a new adventure. Will you row your way through choppy waters today? Sprint like you're late for a Hogwarts Express? Lift weights like you're preparing to join the Avengers? Only the workout of the day knows. And let's talk about the music. Oh, the music! It's like the DJ crawled into your brain, figured out every song that ever made you want to move, and then blasted it through the speakers just as you were thinking of taking a breather. It's the wind beneath your wings, the beat that keeps your feet moving, and possibly the only thing that convinces you that, yes, you CAN do one more burpee. But what truly sets Orange Theory apart is the community. It's a support system made up of people who cheer the loudest when you lift your heaviest, who high-five you with sweat-soaked palms, and who understand the true meaning of teamwork. It's where friendships are forged in the fire of shared challenges and triumphs. In conclusion, if you're considering Orange Theory Fitness, think of it as the most entertaining roller coaster you'll ever ride. It's a place where you'll be challenged, supported, and, most importantly, where you'll have a blast getting fit. My husband and I are not just fitter; we're part of something bigger - a community where everyone is the main character in their own fitness journey. So, to anyone looking for a workout that's as effective as it is enjoyable: Orange Theory is waiting for you. Just remember to bring your sense of humor along with your water bottle - you're going to need both!

I am a Founding Member of OTF Fort Mill from 2017 & I love it just as much 7 years later as I did…read morewhen I joined! The workouts are always different, the music is pumpin', there's modifications if you need them, the coaches keep it fun, and the community is one of a kind (I've made some of my best friends at OTF!) There's not much that could make me voluntarily get up at 4:30am most days of the week, but somehow OTF does it for me!! Can't imagine my life without it!!

One year ago on July 11, 2017 my neighbors Suzie, Jenny, and Allison finally talked me into trying…read moreout Burn Boot Camp. I have always been a yo-yo dieter and every few years would take up running for a few months at a time but when it got too hot or too cold I would quit, hating the monotony of the dreadmill. I joined many gyms but always felt super intimidated and out of place and unsure what to do while there, wondering if I was wasting my time and energy by not knowing how to optimize my workouts. Classes made me a nervous wreck, always different faces and no one was there to do anything but get their workout done and leave. I weighed 200lbs, sat on my butt all day at the computer, had major hypothyroid issues, and was desperate to do something but didn't know what to do. I even looked into a personal trainer but the cost was so high and I knew I needed almost daily assistance, not just once or twice a week. For months I had heard my neighbors talk about Burn and encourage me to go and I finally decided to give it a shot. My first thought upon entering was how everyone seemed to know each other, and I was glad I had my girls there so I could cling onto them like a barnacle. My second thought erased the first because SO many women came up to me to say hi and welcome me, simply because they didn't recognize me. Even the head trainer, Ryne, made sure to introduce himself. The thing about Burn is the women there aren't just nice, they are FRIENDLY and it makes all the difference. Everyone there genuinely wants to see everyone else succeed. There is no judgement, only encouragement, pretty much everyone is a regular to their class time so you get to know so many wonderful women. I will not lie that first class I had to keep telling myself "This is the only time it has to be your first day, this is the only time it has to be this hard, if you keep coming it will get easier and you will be so glad you did." I struggled. I was beside a 70 year old woman who was doing so much better than me. We did bicycle abs and I could only lift one leg at a time and after three of them I laid there panting, sure I was going to blackout. We did bear crawls to halfway across the floor and back and were supposed to do five laps. I did one. But I just kept repeating "If you just keep coming you will be glad you did". Two weeks later I did three full laps of bear crawls, two months later bicycle abs were among my favorite things to do. It never gets easier, because we scale everything to our fitness levels(do it faster, more weights added, etc), but I have gotten so much stronger, it helps to know everyone there is on the struggle bus with me, and the sense of accomplishment afterwards is euphoric. Burn is a community, it's a sisterhood, it is everything I have been searching for my entire life. Ryne and Becky are amazing trainers, they genuinely care about the success of each and every one of you. The workouts are always different(I never get bored), always a challenge and designed to give you maximum results. Come to Burn, tell them Lyla sent ya, and I promise you, you will not regret it. 1 year in I have: Lost: 38lbs 10 sizes Gained: So many friends So much confidence So much strength A lifestyle I know I can keep up

Imma be honest... I'm a serial quitter when it comes to working out. I joined Planet Fitness, I…read morequit. I did Billy Blanks Boot camp at home, I quit. I got on my husbands gym membership at the YMCA, I quit. I did 9 Round, I quit.... okay I think you get the point. I quit and there's nothing wrong with that, because those workouts, set ups, places, whatever just didn't work for me. It didn't work for my schedule, my lifestyle, etc. That is until I joined Burn Boot Camp. I've never been a consistent member of anything longer than maybe a month or two. I'll join something and take weeks or months off and my dude will complain and keep asking when I'm going back. I go back sporadically, knowing that this ain't gonna last. I'm not here to sell this place, but I am here to say why this works for me and probably many other women who go. This is my first check in but I've been going since the end of March. I did a trial and then just in time another trial came along and I jumped on that. So it was nice to get a feel of what I would be getting myself into if I actual paid for a membership. Ryne is literally the fitness coach I needed. Idon'twanna pay a ton of money for a trainer and I like being around other women who hi five you and encourage you to keep going and push yourself along with Ryne challenging you as well.. Working out here is challenging (you need that), flexible for my schedule (most days I go at 5 AM, sometimes at 8 AM, sometimes at 6:30 PM). If you have kids and you're a member, they have childcare at certain times. Ryne does personal check ups with you at the camp (after a workout, before, whatever) to make sure you're on track with your goals. PLUS! Sometimes the music be on point. Every now and then the music is a bit corny but luckily there are those around me, including Ryne pumping me up so I can ignore that. It doesn't get any better than this... for me. I would urge anyone to keep searching for what works for you. If you're a serial quitter... maybe you're just bored with where you are, you need some personal attention, maybe you need a little more encouragement or whatever you're doing isn't working for you anymore... give this place a try.
