I am sad to write this review because when I spoke to the owner of the kennel, Catherine, she seemed very knowledgeable and passionate about the breed, and she presented to me that she raised the dog that I was buying, and that she would be a perfect fit for my family upon receiving the dog the dog had numerous lacerations all over her ears, her face and various of their parts of her body. The dog appeared skittish and not behavior consistent with an IGP-1 trained dog as I was promised if I was rescuing, it would not be a problem, but I thought I was getting a dog of the standard. This dog is obviously not IGP-1, she will not even lay down with treats, runs away from people, and has severe separation anxiety, which was not disclosed. If disclosed no problem we can work on these things but the non-disclosure part feels shady and unfair to Penny,I have rescued Dobermans in the past and paid for rehabilitation treatment but was taken by storm on this one because I have young kids I wanted reliability and predictably this time not a project.Catherine is not knowledgeable about her various other conditions. The dog was given to me with a bend in her tail which appears to be broken when I reached out to the owner, she did not respond again. There are multiple lacerations on her ears and the rest of her body. She does not even respond to down. She only responds to sit, and this is an IGP-1 titled dog I have not received any proof of titles I am very concerned about the legitimacy of this breeding practice. I love the breed I have rescued in the past and my now 9year old rescue has presented better and more consistent behavior than this dog even adopting him 6 years ago, which raises many concerns about breeding, title legitimacy and placement by the breeder. read more
