WOW. My company decided to utilize this agency for ALL corporate travel and it proved a BIG…read moremistake. Perhaps for personal travel or if your company is quite small however, it seems their rates were not competitive and the customer service is at a minimum if it is there at all. SOOOO many instances I can give as example: booking a ticket requested for the day AFTER the requested departure date, requesting a ticket in a class that is LOWER than what was requested and not informing anyone of the change, EVERY hotel reservation seems to be booked non-refundable and they do not go out of their way to attempt to get the refund. NEVER calling or confirming hotels for late check in thus few lost quite a few reservations. Most recently a hotel was requested and STI booked them at approximately $1k a night, after independent research we were able to obtain a reservation at the same hotel for the same dates for less than HALF the price STI booked. STI then said "sorry, the reservation is non-refundable" when it was just booked maybe an hour prior. WOW - the gall of these people! They tried, I do want to say they tried but the entire company was left frustrated and they have since been removed from service. Since we are basically without any reviews of this company here is one from Yellow Pages:: " Don't do business with them. They seem to have only 2 sales representatives. I bought tickets with them once, and spent long time until I found a good deal. Although, when I got the tickets, I noticed the return hours were different than I had requested. Fortunately, they corrected the mistake, and I gave them credit for that. Thus, on my next trip I decided to buy the tickets from them again, and tried to reach out for the same agent. She was busy on the phone, and I was asked to leave my phone number to be contacted. One day later, I haven't heard from them; I called back a second time, agent was on the phone, she'd call me later, I was told. Another day passed by without hearing from them. I called again, the same representative who always answers the phone said that the other agent was on the phone, could I leave a message? I explained that I had left 2 messages before, and asked if someone else could help me. The representative said that she was also busy on the phone, but she'd give the message to the other agent to call me. At this point I decided to give up on them. Someone else may have better luck with this company, but they made me waste my time, and I felt extremely disrespected as a costumer."

Our intergenerational family (ages 5 to 82) had an overall decent experience on the Norwegian Bliss…read morein April, and the crew was fantastic. My feedback below is specific to signage at the buffet. On the morning of the last full day of the cruise, I noticed a sign at the buffet that read, "Tonight at the Buffet: Oriental Dinner." I mentioned to a team member that the term oriental is outdated and considered offensive, and suggested that they change the wording to "Asian cuisine" or "Asian buffet." The team member thanked me for letting her know, and said she will convey this feedback to a manager. At lunch, the sign was replaced with "Tonight at the buffet: Oriental Dinner - Whole Roasted Suckling Pig." I shared the same feedback to another team member, who also said she would share it with her manager. At dinner, the sign had not changed. To me, this was a relatively simple print job. I was very disappointed that the management at Norwegian chose to ignore this feedback, which perpetuated a word that has historically ostracized Asians and Asian Americans by characterizing them as foreign and exotic. In 2016, President Obama signed a bill that eliminated the terms "negro" and "oriental" from federal laws. Kat Chow also wrote a piece on NPR with additional context on the harmfulness of this term. I shared my experience on the Norwegian survey, including the 2016 federal law, and received the following response: Norwegian Cruise Line prides itself on being a diverse company. Our family of crew and guests is comprised of people of diverse cultural background, religious beliefs, sexual orientation and race. This is demonstrated by the demographic makeup of our corporation and does not, whatsoever, promote or approve of any discriminatory acts. Your observations were carefully noted and we assure you that we have not received similar complaints. However, you can be certain that a copy of your letter was also shared with our Fleet Operations department so they may be aware of your impressions and for internal review with the team onboard. To me, what Norwegian failed to understand is that it is in a position to eliminate language that is outdated, offensive, and fetishizes Asian cultures, and its leadership chose not to. That makes me wonder, what does it gain by continuing to use the language? Are more people more willing to return to a cruise that offers an "oriental" buffet instead of an Asian buffet? Thousands of people saw the sign that morning, including young children, and tens of thousands more have seen it on previous voyages of the Bliss, and still more will see the word on future voyages. Words matter, and Norwegian has a very public platform. My hope is for Norwegian to educate itself, as a company that "prides itself on a diverse company," on the impact of the language it chooses to use.

Revised Version (Professional Review / Complaint) I recently sailed on a 12-day Caribbean cruise aboard The Jewel. Because I have ongoing back issues, I decided to begin the cruise with acupuncture treatment, a service I had used successfully on prior cruises. Boarding was smooth, especially since we had upgraded accommodations. The cabin was excellent, and both the butler and room attendant provided outstanding service. My acupuncture session was performed by an Indian gentleman who began by asking to examine my tongue to diagnose my health. This was a new approach for me, but I was willing to proceed in hopes of relieving my back pain. After I explained my condition, he placed numerous needles across my back and connected them to a TENS device that delivered electrical impulses through the needles. The treatment lasted nearly an hour and was followed by stretching and massage performed by him. At the conclusion, he recommended five additional treatments. I agreed to continue but planned to evaluate how I felt after the first session. Later that evening, I returned to my room and attended dinner. However, the following day I developed significant back pain accompanied by a burning sensation. I attempted ice and rest without relief and eventually visited the ship's doctor. The doctor indicated the symptoms appeared nerve-related and suggested that I go to a hospital in Cartagena for an MRI. I declined at that time and was given muscle relaxers and Tylenol for pain management. Unfortunately, I spent the remainder of the cruise largely confined to bed due to ongoing pain, forcing us to cancel all planned excursions. Since returning home, I have remained under medical care for what has been diagnosed as nerve damage, which is currently being treated with injections in hopes of correcting the problem. Based on this experience, I strongly advise caution when considering acupuncture services on cruise ships.

I finally got to experience my first Royal Caribbean cruise (Wonder of the Seas). We traveled…read moreduring the month of February, so the weather was in the high 70s during the day and low 70s at night throughout our three-night stay. This ship is huge. The staff was phenomenal from the moment we stepped out of the Uber upon arrival to disembarkation. With baggage tags emailed well in advance, it was super simple to drop off our luggage and navigate our way onto the ship. Security and check-in were smooth. Our keys awaited us outside our room doors, and our luggage arrived within the hour. We quickly dropped off our carry-ons, completed the required safety briefing via the cruise line app, and headed to the Windjammer (buffet) to grab a bite to eat before the sail-away party. We did have the Deluxe Drink Package, which was a phenomenal deal given the length of our cruise and how active we intended to be. This package is wonderful because it includes all beverages from coffee to alcoholic drinks, fresh juices, smoothies, you name it. If I were to travel with this cruise line again, I would indulge in the Unlimited Dining Package as well. Meals in the main dining hall and some of the complimentary options were okay, but not always the best or my first choice. The main dining room took the cake on Italian night, and the buffet was a big hit for Caribbean night. The rooms were spacious, and I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the bathroom shower. Our room attendant did a phenomenal job, ensuring that we stayed stocked with all of our necessities and even provided some specialty items since I was celebrating a birthday. The cruise ship itself seemed pretty clean. I did not detect any unusual odors or areas that were noticeably unmanaged or unkempt. Throughout the cruise, you could see various staff members attending to different areas, which was wonderful. I loved the "washy-washy" attendants as well, reminding everyone that it takes a village to keep us all healthy and safe. The activity itinerary on this cruise line is extensive. There is something to do from the minute you wake up until well past midnight each night. Many activities cater to adults-only options as well as family-friendly and teen options, so there is truly something for everyone. Although this is a mixed cruise, I did not feel as though children were falling all over me anywhere except the main hot tub and pool areas, which is where they obviously dominate, lol. However, this cruise line does offer adults-only sections within the Solarium, which provide a bit more privacy and comfort for adults looking for that. We purchased Hideaway Beach tickets to enjoy the adults-only section of Perfect Day at CocoCay. I would highly recommend it. There were wonderful swim-up bars, a great DJ with amazing energy, and nice buffet options as well. When we arrived in Nassau on our last day, we decided to remain on the boat since all of us had explored that port several times before. We thought it would be a wonderful opportunity to enjoy some experiences that had previously been crowded. This was the perfect time to enjoy the spa and explore the remaining portions of the ship while taking advantage of a less crowded pool and hot tub area on the main decks to soak in the sun. Out of all the shows, we definitely enjoyed Intense the most, followed by 365 on Ice. The adult comedy show was super corny but a nice way to end our final evening before enjoying some cocktails and the silent toga party. We missed Battle of the Sexes/ Crazy Quest, but we heard phenomenal things and were surely bummed that we missed out. We spent a little time in the casino, where we won a bit on the slot machines, which was super fun. I loved the separate smoking and non-smoking room options. For a cruise line, the casino is quite extensive, which I also enjoyed. Disembarkation was super smooth. My only gripe was Uber's surge pricing, knowing so many people would be traveling from the port that day. I cannot wait for my next Royal Caribbean experience.

At 1st glance that ship was very clean and fresh. Plenty of smiling faces around and everyone was happy to be there. As per the usual we had to get acquainted with the ship and find our muster station. (that was easy) Now on to some food and drink. It was raining but we made the best of it and most did. Room time! Spacious and well kept. Large port window and the standard bedding. (We did NOT have a fridge!) We asked our porter and he said "it was broken so they removed it" WHAT!? Ok :( The club was great every night and the white party even better! This is a small ship but still a fun ship. If its close to you, take a chance on it if you like smaller crowds this is the one for you! See you Soon!

First and LAST time on a Margaritaville cruise…read more The port parking was easy to find. We parked and checked our luggage with the porter. We entered the terminal to check in. Check in was easy but busy. We were assigned the time between 12pm-1pm to check in. Once on the ship, it was down hill. We went to our muster station, which was not labeled to find easily. Completed our muster. Then we went to get lunch from the buffet. The options were limited at the actual buffet area where you serve yourself. They had the buffet, cheeseburgers, tacos, pizza, and sandwiches. The food was mediocre at best this day and throughout the week. It was a struggle to find something to eat that was edible and tasted good. Even the jello was tasteless. Once our room was ready, we went to it. Luggage was not there upon arrival, but it arrived shortly after. It was a struggle with the AC in the room from the moment we checked in. We told our room steward immediately, who said once the ships sets sail, the air would work better. That never happened. It was consistently warm to hot in our room. Guest services was notified a few times via phone and in person. But it was not fixed. Not even sure someone came to our room. We waited several times but we never made contact with the person who came to "fix" it. We made the best of it but it was not comfortable at all. Most of the time we were hot and sweating at night and while in our room getting ready for the day or dinner. Mohamad was fantastic! He was our room steward. He took amazing care of us and our room. Our room was always clean and we always had fresh and clean towels! Entertainment was lacking for sure and limited. There was a lot of time where there was very little to nothing going on and to do. The excursions through the ship were limited as well. We picked to do the Margaritaville Resort in Nassau. We walked off the ship and through the port to transportation. This part was easy and well organized. The resort itself was clean and the staff were friendly. The pool was nice and not crazy crowded. The beach was another story. Absolutely packed and barely room to walk down to the waters edge. Not sure if it's only for Margaritaville Resort guests and day passes or if it's open to the public too. Drink package felt pricey at $360 for 4 days, and this was on sale. We had two port days, one embarkation day, and one sea day. I would NOT ever cruise again with Margaritaville.

Huh???? I'm traveling on business we have contracts with these companies. I go all around America and I rarely have problems but when you get someone that thinks they know everything it's always a headache just checking in. No one wants to have to deal with that when they have been traveling since 7 AM and it's now 430. So anyway the front desk clerk was wrong, and ended up using my card on file. I have diamond status so my stay is supposed to include two waters in a snack. She forgot them, and after I went back, I asked here where is my snack & she said "that's just breakfast" so I say no and I show her the benefit where it says I'm supposed to get water and a snack. She finally gave me the waters. I opened up the white bag and asked her where is my snack? She tried to argue with me that it was in the bag and then I showed her, and she went to the back and got my snack. Is this the best Miami has to offer? She's already argued with me three times, has been wrong all three and I just checked in. I couldn't imagine dealing with a person that loves to argue & is wrong every time on the regular. What kind of person is ignorant, but argues with so much conviction? Please I never want to come back to Miami ever, it's the worst city. It's a southern city with no southern hospitality. Everybody drives crazy & the people are rude. I hate it here. PS: According to the other employee who was at the front desk when I left for dinner the rude lady was The Manager which makes it so much worse
