I got my first tattoo here about two months ago and I had a bad experience my tattoo artists was Ivan and I am very disappointed by the experience. I looked for months on different artists around the area to get my tattoo because I really was hoping to cover up a scar and wanted to be sure it was done by someone who knew what they were doing so I spoke to Ivan and agreed on a date and time he ask for a $20 deposit so he could sketch something for be based on references I sent and I sent him $100 so he could see I was very committed into this. He had agreed to send me a sketch before the day so that I could see it and the night before my appointment for the tattoo I still had not received anything so I txt him but he didn't respond. The day of the tattoo he made me wait about half an hour before he showed me the sketch and I didn't like a few things so he Changed once we agreed on something he tattooed me and everything went well after the tattoo was healed and the eximente calm down I took a good look at the tattoo and noticed some mistakes and I ask Ivan if he could fix them but it appears he's mad about the few things I pointed out and rudely agreed to fix them and we agreed on a day but he rescheduled me and I have made different attempts to contact him but he doesn't answer my calls or texts. I am very disappointed because this tattoo is not what I expected and he doesn't want to fix it up. The expectation from the reality was very different and I look back into it and I realize he probably didn't put the time to sketch anything until the morning of the tattoo appointment and he really didn't sketch anything he just traced it which is not what he had talked out. Now my only concern is if my tattoo Can be fixed!? read more

The sad part of this review is that I wasn't even able to get a tattoo. I went in with a friend when she got her tattoo and I made an appointment for MONTHS in advance with Juan because he is so busy with customers or traveling for shows. I actually made the appointment for today (July 2nd, 2015) Juan gave me his cell number and said to contact him with information about what I would want as my tattoo. So I sent a text message with information. I never heard back so I ended up calling and leaving a voice mail for him. He still never called or contacted me back. So a few days later I called into the shop. He wasn't in the shop the first time I called, so I left my name and number and I had to try another day. When I called again because he never called me back, I was finally able to talk to him. He was short with me over the phone and claimed he had gotten my text but it got lost in all his texts and he didn't know who to text back or contact. (Unorganized and unprofessional in my opinion) So when I finally got him on the phone he told me to just email him because that was the best way to get a hold of him. (If it had been he should've told me that when I first made the appointment) I had to find his Instagram page to get his email address because he never gave it to me before rushing me off the phone. I emailed him asking him if he had other dates open for an appointment because I got a new job and I would be working during the time our appointment was scheduled for. He never responded to my email even though he claimed it's the best way to reach him. I called him again and left a message with him with my contact information After I never heard back with the email. The day for my appointment came and he still has not contacted me. I feel bad rated the entire store horribly because it is the incompetence and unorganization of just one person that effected the score. But to keep someone working there who is going to make the entire store lose customers and get poor reviews is gonna hurt there business. read more

I got tattooed here two years ago and am only now getting around to writing the review - oops! My friend drove over a hour to get tattooed by Juan (his portraits really are as good as their reputation) and I decided to go with her to get a small something done as well. Since my pieces were small (ivy on my ring finger and small braille dots on my ankle), I was only charged $60, which I really appreciated. The artist took his time instead of hurrying through, which may have been because he smoked a joint beforehand, but I was happy he took the time to really talk with me about how exactly I wanted it done. They made the studio a really comfortable place and I would definitely recommend it. read more

I'm giving this place two stars a I would give it 1 if it wasn't for some of the friendly staff members. I got my nose pierced at this place just a regular nose piercing $40. I don't remember the guy's name but he was pretty chill throughout the process and didn't make me feel uncomfortable at all. My problem is with the way my piercing was done and the recommended after care of my piercing. After I waiting a few months I was able to change my piercing. I ended up going to a different shop for jewelry. I had asked the lady to help me put the piercing in because I was unable to take it out my self prior to going to her shop. The had to literally yank the piercing out of nose, and according to her the nose ring that was in was HUGE she even showed me a comparison to the rings at her shop and it was pretty thick. MY MAIN PROBLEM was when she had a hard time putting in the new piece. She sad that the piercer has pierced my nose in the wrong direction. Instead of piercing my nose with the needle pointing downward he pierced it with the needle going upward. I kept the new piece in for a month or two and then decided to let it close. The after care they recommended was to purchase this band aid antibacterial solution and to apply it with a cotton ball 2-3 times a day. Proper care should be recommending a saline solution (I believe it's called) it's just salt and warm water with a lint free pad. Disappointed. read more

I cannot speak for all the artists here at E.I. but I can speak about Juan Gonzales. Dude is very humble and most importantly a gifted artist. I had him do two pieces on me. A Darth Vader piece and a Bob Marley portrait. I am very pleased with both of them years later. I get numerous compliments on them and I always say I had nothing to do with it, See Juan Gonzales at Exclusive ink. I first saw him working at an Ink expo and he made such and impression that I scheduled an appointment with him as soon as I could. He even bought me lunch during one of our sessions, little things like that go very long way and tell you a lot about a person. A lot of inkers can be pretty full of them selves being in the "scene" and all thinking they are too cool or something? not Juan. He is a pugilist fan. A family man. He is a spectacular artist and I cannot recommend him enough, especially if you are planning on having someone cut something forever into your body. Go somewhere else and you'll be taking chances on mediocrity. This guy is very busy so you need to make an appointment and believe me it will be worth the wait. I can't wait to go back to him once I have free time and money. The sign in there shop says it all " GOOD TATTOOS ARE NOT CHEAP, CHEAP TATTOOS ARE NOT GOOD". He charges a fair price. read more

Walked in looking to get some script tattooed, came out about 1.5 hours later tattooed. All artists were busy when I walked in, but attempted to accommodate me immediately and called in another artist to do my tattoo. Definitely appreciated the fact that the artist (Fabian) took his time and was polite since he had been called in just to do my tattoo. read more

My wife and I have been using Joe for 10 years now, and won't use anyone else. Don't let his humble demeanor fool you. He is a VERY TALENTED ARTISTS. I have found that to get his best work don't tell him what to do. Bring in 5-6 pictures to him and tell him what you like about each one. He will mix it all up in his brain, pick up a pen and will create a masterpiece that far exceeds your expectations. If I could give him more than 5 stars I would. read more

good piercing shop, if you are a bigger person i recommend asking for a longer piercing than regular because it might take longer to heal if the bar is too short. my navel started to grow around the piercing and its super painful, advocate for yourself because no one else will, I have to replace my piercing in oder for it to heal properly read more

My review is for EJ. I went in last week to inquire about my cartilage earrings I needed to have removed for an MRI, not only was he knowledgeable and down to earth, but he showed my bf and I how to take the earrings on and off. We were successful at taking them out but couldn't clamp them back in, so I panicked and called right at 8:00pm (closing time) and he said he would put them back in. A few minutes later they were back on, even with my OCD request. I'd go back to him in heart beat. read more

We laugh a lot and probably take way to much of his time but he's very kinda and patient with us. 10/10 would recommend him for all your piercing needs. I went to exclusive ink after seeing the excellent work that they do. Rigo one of artist there did my first tattoo,he was fast but did amazing work. I got my daughters name with wings and a crown on top, I brought in a pic n he suggested different wings n it worked way better. I ended up going back to Rigo for my second tattoo of a star. Had a scorpion tattooed on my hand it hurt me to look at it .it was not pleasant. Joemoney408 did a hell of a job with my little mermaid cover up. This place was well worth skipping all the other places. I walked in, just to ask how much the tattoo was going to cost. I thought I would have to schedule an appointment...no need. They took me in right away. The guy got me comfortable in the seat, put the stencel on the arm, and just went to work. One of the better experiences I've had with a needle. I had called the shop around 11:15 on a Friday to see if they had anything available for later in that day and Joe answered and said yes they did that I could come in at about 1 to get it done. I said cool. I got there at 1245 after driving about 30 minutes. The first thing I noticed is how many people were in the small shop, I think some of the artists didn't even have chairs. I was directed to the Joe I had spoken with (since three Joe's work there) and I walk over and he's working on someone, but the first thing I noticed was the ridiculous amount of flies around his station. that was something that turned me away because even the guy getting tattooed was swatting away flies and I just didn't want that around me while I'm getting a tattoo done. He tells me that an incident had happened and that he was a little behind but to give him an hour and he could work on me. So, I go to the Mexican restaurant a few doors down and have a meal. When I get back an hour and fifteen minutes later, he's still working on the same guy so I get pushed to another artist. He draws up a design that I like, but I just wanted a few slight changes, like he had spelled "casket" as "cosket," and I wanted him to close the spacing a little more because it wasn't going to fit. Well, I wait 30 minutes, and another guy comes back with one word done and tells me that the whole thing wasn't going to fit and I needed to get two lines of script. I told him that's not what I wanted. I wanted one line of script, I have 6 tattoos and they're all script. I know what I wanted. And he disappears, leaving the one word design there. Well, I see two walk-ins, one come and get the tattoo and go, and another one get pulled back and they're putting the Jordan Jumpman outline on his chest, (no creativity)... So at about 4:30, someone else comes and tells me that it wasn't going to happen today but I could leave a deposit and come tomorrow, or the better thing would be to go down the street to his buddy in this smoke shop and get my tattoo done. I told him that I was in the army and I wasn't going to a smoke shop to get my tattoo done. He then tells me he used to be a firefighter and he went in there all the time. Yeah, I would never refer anyone there, and I will never return. read more

For my 1st tattoo. Call in 2 days in advance they tell me I don't need an appointment, so I go in ad soon as they open, they then tell me they didn't have someone (understandable, I was a walk in) they tell me Carlos will be able to take care of it but had to do 1 1st, needless to say I had to schedule an appointment with him, dropped diposit. Gave him a call the day of the appointment to confirm when he stated he needed to give someone a ride (tattoo expo, so understandable) told me he would be there at a certain time and that he would call me because of traffic and the drive....never got a call, showed up and he was tattooing someone already. He told me to come back in an hour, showed up within that hour and was starting to tattoo someone else. We set another one up. Same thing happened, this time he was dropping them ofd, show up and he was finishing up. Told me to give him 45 min while he sketched it up, showed up in 30...had someone else on the table. Got my deposit back. Needless to say I'm sure they do great work, their art seems legit and the staff seems cool as well. But with me showing up and waiting and waiting nobody else could of jumped in? The man inks up like 5 other people while I waited. I was recommended to go there, no thanks. Horrible customer service. Had an appointment with Eric. He did not call me to cancel like he should have. Instead I show up to hear he isn't coming in but that one of the other artist,Carlos can do it, in an hour and a half when he is done. I left my number to be contacted when he was finished. I never got a phone call. What is the point in having an appointment if this is how you are treated? I will never go back. read more

I would give them zero stars. Came here all excited for my first tattoo back in 2010 when I turned 18 and to get my tongue pierced too. First they did my tongue the guy didnt even have the thing to hold your tongue he just did it holding my tongue with his hand wtf! Second my tattoo was done by a guy named Eric I think he was from out of town and that fucker misspelled my tattoo even after I printed out the saying! Worst service ever now I just want my whole tattoo removed definitely do not recommend them. read more

here is few reasons why i only gave 2 stars...and this is not only MY experience but several close friends of mine that went here. 1. They make you feel like it's an inconvenience for them to tattoo 2. They are always late for appointments-i had a scheduled appointment for 3pm and my artist didn't show up until 415, didn't call or anything. 3. I was told i would get a phone call the day of my tattoo session and never received a call, so when i called, i was told that the artist wasn't even going to be working that day! 4. the tattoo i got was about a 90 minute session..however took my artist 4 hours to complete because he was constantly stopping to bs with co-workers, answer his cell to chat, text. etc. this shop seems like nothing but kids work there and it shows through there customer service and follow up with future clients. it's too bad because all the awards they have accomplished probably went to their heads resulting in a "too good" to your tattoo attitude. read more

Had to have a cover up done. It was a pretty dark tattoo. Joe took a look at it and we agreed on a good cover up. And it came out great! I love my new tattoo, can't see the old tattoo. I will be going to Joe for my future tattoos. read more
