    Joe Hudson Collision Center in Cape Coral is one of the biggest nightmares I've ever experienced…read morewhen it comes to car repairs. My very first impression was that the building looked neat and well-maintained, both inside and out. However, when I walked in as a new customer, I felt a wave of unease wash over me. Straight ahead, a woman was sitting at the counter; she looked up briefly but didn't say a word or ask anything. To the left were two occupied office desks, and to the right were two more occupied office desks. Even though this arrangement of desks makes a customer feel like they're right in the center of attention, it gave me a sense of total rejection, as if they were thinking, "Oh no, a customer has come in--we don't want anything to do with that... so definitely don't look over." After a while, one of the employees stood up and asked me why I had come. After I answered, he quickly found the documents that my insurance company had already sent him. This was Robert, the estimator, who took care of my damaged car and initially made a good impression. He promised to email me the estimate, including the repair time, but he didn't actually do so until I followed up with another request. The repair was estimated to take 8 days. Two days after dropping off the car, the duration was extended to 12 days. On the agreed pickup date, I called to check and was told the repair time had been extended by another 3 days. I called again at the specified time, and once more the pickup date was pushed back by a few days with a flimsy excuse. I questioned the poor planning, and the estimator, Robert, rudely cut me off. Four days have passed since then, and I have no idea when I'll get my car back, which has been there for 21 days now. The bottom line is that I wouldn't recommend this shop even to my worst enemy--and not because of the work, which I haven't even seen yet, but because of the estimator, who clearly has no idea how to properly plan a job and has repeatedly misjudged the scope of the work, which might mean he's vastly overestimating his own abilities. If I ever get my car back, I'll take the liberty of writing another review about the repair work that was done.

He even offered to help when the rental car company made a goof-up with my charges. Everything was handled quickly and smoothly between Joe Hudson and Allstate. I really appreciate the work being completed when promised. I hope I never need to use you again, but if I do, I will return! Thanks so much!
