The Southside Health Center is part of Daily Planet Health Services, a fully integrated health care…read moresafety net provider. I've been to this clinic at least 8 times since January 2015, and am always amazed at the level of care offered, and the professionalism of the staff. I like to sum up reviews with a single word, and for the Southside Health Center, the word is "inclusivity." Services offered are general medical services, pediatric, dental, and behavioral health. I am unaware of the full scope of services offered, but I would recommend SHC to anyone, irrespective of their means. The interior is squeaky clean. There are always sufficient receptionists to accommodate both the English and Spanish community. Additionally, they can provide translation for a large number of languages, including French, Portuguese, Creole, and Italian. The parking lot can be crowded at times, but it has never been too full for my car to fit in.

Dehydrated? Hungover? Jet lagged? Quench IV bar claims to treat all of those symptoms and then…read moresome. The latest thing in health, ladies and gents! I've been wanting to try Quench eversince I heard about them several months ago, and I finally took the plunge today and got the Meyers Cocktail, which "improves symptoms related to numerous conditions including migraines, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, Lyme disease, sinusitis, and PMS." I don't have any of those things, but who doesn't need a dose of super B complex, vitamin C, B12, magnesium, calcium? The studio is decorated with a blue palette... cool tones... not sure that was a good idea since IV drips make you cold anyway. But it's comfortable. You sit in huge, plush recliner chairs while the IV drips into your veins. Comfortable. It takes about 30-45 minutes. No real pain or discomfort. I can't say I feel any different than I did before I came in other than when I came in, I was thirsty, and when I left, I wasn't. I peed right before and had to pee again almost immediately after. So I do think it helped with hydration. I think if I were actually sick--a cold, tired, hungover or jet lagged--then I'd feel results. Or at least I'd like to think I would. I may try a B12 shot in the future. That should make an impact regardless, right? Pleasant staff of RNs and NPs. They'll come to you if you have an IV party... bridal groups or what have you. Pretty cool. Your first service is 10% off. Lots of packages to choose from, and even memberships if you want to be a repeat customer.

My fiancé and I went in for our appointment in the morning. Dr. Winston suggested, in addition to my regular adjustment, that he use cold laser treatment to stimulate my immune system response. Sounds kind of sci-fi right? The results were unreal. I took a short nap when I got home. When I woke up I felt energized and my throat didn't feel sore. I was able to go into work and assist an important customer. When I woke up this morning I felt completely refreshed and no signs or symptoms of the infection threatening me only yesterday. Thanks to Dr. Winston, my body was able to fight off an infection effeciently and very quickly. Additionally, I started seeing Dr. Winston a year ago after having frequent pain in my knees and ankles and lower back. My initial consultation was a real eye-opener to the underlying causes of my pain. Through diagnosis and adjustments Dr. Winston was able to start restoring my proper alignment. My back pain completely disappeared. My joint pain became less frequent and severe and then disappeared. Now, if I feel any twinges in my ankle, I go in occassionally and it goes away. I also feel like I have more energy. I cannot say enough about the value of chiropractic care and Dr. Winston is just fantastic!

When my body started to complain, I started to see Dr. Winston again. I try to go every week and I truly believe that his chiropractic care enables me to keep at work. The office is comfortable and relaxed. Yen, the receptionist is always sweet and welcoming. There's something here that is so important to any good doctor's office: the feeling that the staff truly care about your wellbeing. Thanks for caring!
