I cannot say enough positive things about "I do Events" and owner Nicole! She and all she works…read morewith, created an absolutely beautiful space for my niece's Reception. It was celebrated at the Stardust in Davenport. Nicole transformed a wide open modern "industrial styled" space into an intimate beautiful setting. She has a wonderful talent for incorporating colors, textures and all the elegant special touches to bring to life a gorgeous vision in the venue space. With all the "crazy" that goes along with organizing a large event for nearly 220 people, Nicole has a calm confidence that allows you to relax a bit and know that all is good and no need to worry about a thing.... she handles it all beautifully. I can't think of a single thing that could have been better! She thought of everything and all was perfection. I would eagerly and happily recommend Nicole and "Ido Events" to all I know looking to celebrate in style any special occasion.

I had my wedding & reception at the Abbey Station last Summer. We were very happy with the customer…read moreservice. Tonja, Al & Colleen were so helpful in planning our event. The price for rental of the venue was cheaper than most places and included all tables, chairs & linens (minus chair covers). The only downside is that you have to use their caterer (Bridges Catering) and buy alcohol from their bar. Our guests were very happy with the food and said it was some of the best wedding food they have had (pasta buffet). We had a very tight budget and they were willing to help us find the best selection for the price. We also held our wedding here to save some money. It was neat having the trains in the background. Luckily none came through while we held our ceremony. There is a covered place to have the wedding if you are planning something small. We had about 50 guests and it was pretty tight. My only complaint was the service on the night of the reception. The people they have working didn't offer any refills on water and didn't offer the coffee that we paid for. Some of the guests told me later that it took awhile for them to clear the tables. Other than that, this was a great place for a wedding. I highly recommend it to anyone that wants a unique reception or needs a place that will fall into a tight budget.

We had requested a playlist heavy on country music with the addition of classic rock, even specifying artists. Ninety percent of the music played was generic wedding reception dance club music. These songs mixed in with what was requested would have been fine but none of the requested list was played. When it came time to pay, the son who had been the DJ, said they could take a credit card. When his father showed up, he said it had to be cash or check. At no time had we been told this previously and were not prepared to pay this way. We apologized and said we could meet him with cash the following morning and he got quite belligerent and said the contract stated we were to have paid it a week before but in none of our recent correspondence had he reminded me of this and I admitted that I had forgotten that was required but that I had actually asked prior to the wedding if he needed anything from me. He did not reply as communication seemed to be an issue with him. Also, if that was in the contract and he hadn't received final payment (all he did was ask if we were still on) why would they have even shown up? A family member offered to chip in the $100 cash we were short but the owner said he couldn't provide a receipt and we weren't about to give him cash with no proof we had done so. As it turned out, the family member wrote a check and we paid him back the next morning. Every other vendor we used, for services costing way more than this, either sent us a final invoice prior to the event or even after the service was provided. I guess my biggest issue was the unprofessional, intimidating way he came at me. I cannot recommend Mixx Master at all given their inability to reply to texts and email and their lack of customer service.

Riley walked us through every single detail and put us at ease. We requested a new formation for the ceremony, and Riley worked with us and our decorator (I Do Events) to make it work. The spaciousness of the grand hall with the beautiful chandelier, great party lighting, and classic chiavari chairs was stunning! The cocktail hour space on the mezzanine was intimate but not crowded. The food was FANTASTIC, as expected from a caterer as well-known as Bridges! The bridal suite downstairs was very chic. The wait staff was attentive and helpful. Sheri oversaw the bar with grace. Tanja took over when Riley couldn't attend...and did it seamlessly. Everything was top notch. Thank you! We highly recommend your full-service event center!

No worries because the word is out! Although we wish great for great success for their future, we will continue to not recommend business at this venue. One rude employee can ruin it for many and that is exactly what happened with us and our experience.

He is a great communicator, did fantastic work, and had people on the dance floor from after our first dances until three full hours later into the night, and at no point was the dance floor clear during that time. He supplied an awesome Google Drive spreadsheet for us to fill in tons of information since we were coordinating from a few states away. One side note, and far from a ding to Larry, is that if you have him display a slide show, then make sure you have either a white wall or a screen to have it displayed upon. We completely forgot and our venue was all exposed wood grain walls, it looked fine, but could have been avoided on our part. At least three times I had to re-send my emails to Kelley because of non-response - to which he's always reply "oh, I am sorry I thought I repliod". At one point I tried to call him due to non-response via email - his voicemail was full, so left with no other options I sent him a text- three days later I still had not heard from him. He posted a status update on facebook so I commented on it to please call me. Funny how he immediately called me within 30 seconds of posting that once the public could see it. I had two phone conversations and multiple email conversations about our first dance song - a simple "skip" forward to a second song after one minute and 20 seconds into the first one. A grade schooler could perform this on their iPod - I even OFFERED him my iPod with the "playlist" already set up for the first dance - he said no, it won't be a problem. Wedding day our first dance and we never heard the second song - my husband and I kept dancing waiting for the second song to play and it never did. I informed Kelley of this the day he came to pick up his equipment at our place (we were nice enough to allow them to pick it up Monday instead of having them pick it up Sunday)...to which he responded with absolutely no concern or remorse "Oh really, sorry". Then didn't miss a beat and went on about picking up his equipment. He already had his money so it obviously wasn't a care of concern of his. I expected more for spending almost $1000 on this Dj and the fact that his mother is good friends with my friend and photographer (and how I even heard of him in the first place). Twisted Mics may of been customer service oriented at one time but they are not now and it was a complete waste of money. I'll never get my first dance back that I planned painstakingly for months.
