The cocktail hour space on the mezzanine was intimate but not crowded. The food was FANTASTIC, as expected from a caterer as well-known as Bridges! The bridal suite downstairs was very chic. No worries because the word is out! Although we wish great for great success for their future, we will continue to not recommend business at this venue. One rude employee can ruin it for many and that is exactly what happened with us and our experience.

We had requested a playlist heavy on country music with the addition of classic rock, even specifying artists. Ninety percent of the music played was generic wedding reception dance club music. These songs mixed in with what was requested would have been fine but none of the requested list was played. When it came time to pay, the son who had been the DJ, said they could take a credit card. When his father showed up, he said it had to be cash or check. At no time had we been told this previously and were not prepared to pay this way. We apologized and said we could meet him with cash the following morning and he got quite belligerent and said the contract stated we were to have paid it a week before but in none of our recent correspondence had he reminded me of this and I admitted that I had forgotten that was required but that I had actually asked prior to the wedding if he needed anything from me. He did not reply as communication seemed to be an issue with him. Also, if that was in the contract and he hadn't received final payment (all he did was ask if we were still on) why would they have even shown up? A family member offered to chip in the $100 cash we were short but the owner said he couldn't provide a receipt and we weren't about to give him cash with no proof we had done so. As it turned out, the family member wrote a check and we paid him back the next morning. Every other vendor we used, for services costing way more than this, either sent us a final invoice prior to the event or even after the service was provided. I guess my biggest issue was the unprofessional, intimidating way he came at me. I cannot recommend Mixx Master at all given their inability to reply to texts and email and their lack of customer service.

(Fun fact: Collin and wife, Stephanie, started the biz after they got married in 2019.) I contacted them about two weeks prior and they were able to accommodate. Pricing is pretty standard. Selection is above average -- they have some beautiful vintage pieces, too. Delivery was prompt. Turnaround time and responsiveness are stellar. If you have an event that you need rentals for in the Quad Cities, look no further than Rolling Hills Event Rentals. This locally owned small business will have just what you're looking for at a reasonable price point.
