Jackie isn't just my favorite mortgage expert, but my favorite financial adviser/broker of any kind I've ever worked with over 30 years. She's not just a master of the process and at routing your app to the right match; she's a master at understanding what your real needs are and then fighting for them, NON-STOP. There were several examples of this during the process, but the most important was getting the mortgage size I was hoping for. I came in with a target/floor, but wanted to go as high as possible. Another broker came in at 10% below my target, final offer. Jackie started at about 10% above my target and ultimately got to ~50% above my target. The difference was literally bonkers: +50% vs -10%. I'll never believe that mortgages are a commodity again. She is just that much more resourceful than other folks. Wish yelp allowed negative ratings. We were referred to Jackie a while ago by our real estate agent. We were new to real estate world and so trusted our realtor and went to Jackie. BIGGEST MISTAKE on our part. We regret it to the date. She lost some of out documents and we were requested to re send it (some documents were being sent to her for the third time) to her while we were on a vacation, away from the country, despite asking Jackie if there was anything else needed before we left for the trip. When we returned from out trip and called the office, to our surprise Jackie was gone for a out of country trip for 2 weeks and her colleagues had no idea on the status of our application. When we would call Jackie, she will not give us any answers , so we started contacting the bank through which we were getting our loan and Jackie asked us to STOP calling the bank. Our realtor said that we should be able to close within 60 days , but guess what? Thanks to Jackie and the Opes advisors- the company she worked for that we were nowhere even close to closing within 60 days. We became homeless as we had given the 30 day notice at our previous apartment.Jackie seemed to be very knowledgable initially, but later on we realized what a terrible mistake we had made. we were never so stressed out and frustrated in our life before. Following a referral to Jackie from a work collegue, the service was not only terrible throughout the process, on a laughable number of occasions we experienced blind incompetence and stark unprofessional behavior. Our long serving and trusted insurance agents told us they had never been asked for such detailed and irrelevant information. I was referred to Jackie at SummitFunding after my mortgage loan was was turned down by 2 lenders; an online lender (quicken loans) and local credit union (patelco). Jackie was very knowledgeable about the loan process, area I was buying and my situation as a renter, landlord and buying a second home. I have a tough schedule and she was very flexible in meeting when I had time, in our first meeting, she was able to assess my situation and provide some suggestions on how I should submit my loan (things the other lenders didn't do). She was soo confident she could get the loan funded, she even promised to fully refund my appraisal cost. Apprasial was ordered and completed within 4 business days. The loan was funded within 18 days, which is near record time. As with any large financial transaction, it was stressful at times, however Jackie was always there to assure me that everything is on track.
