I have had very bad luck with bikes in the past so I came into this experience with extreme…read moreskepticism. I came here as a result of my fellow Yelpers reviews. First I viewed their options online whoch was setup very well. One down fall is I somehow ended up on a page listing previous rental bikes for sale and when I brought this up at the store, that list is from last fall and they currently do not have any for sale. At the store I shared with the salesman which one I was looking at and he brought me to that area and showed me the size options that he thought I might be fit for. He then took me outside where i was able to test ride the bike in their parking lot which was decent sized to give you a good feel for the bike. I shared my previous experience of bikes breaking on me and he was able to assure me that the bike I selected would match the tyoe of riding I had in mind as well as their shop would check over everything if I ever feel like something is not working as it should be. Over all it was a great experience and I am now a bike owner once again!

Well I couldn't get one screw to work and when I called back the man on the phone said to drop by they would be happy to help, very friendly. Unfortunately when I arrived the staff was annoyed, blamed me for the screw issue, a part was missing, actually fell off and fell into the box, which I didn't see. He was irritated I was asking questions, he was very impatient and rude. I returned the $300 bike rack. If he would have taken the 15 minutes to help me you would have had a sale. I've always had positive experiences there. Not today.

Bought a new bike for grandson six months ago. Barely used bike already has flat tires due to the…read moretube stem being cut by the tire rims. Brought the bike in and they claim this is normal wear and not covered under warranty stating that the bike tire needs to be inflated every week otherwise this will happen. I have never had this occur with any bike I have ever purchased from Erik's nor any other bike for that matter. The pictures show the stem being cut at exactly the same location as the hole on the rim. If you expand the picture you can see the sharp edges on the hole that should have been filed down. I fully expect replacing the tube will only result in a cut stem again. Really disappointed that Erik's won't stand behind their product. Not worth the cost to shop here.

They had lots of fun bike tassels, bells and lights available to purchase. They sell both new and used bikes. They had some cool bikes that brought back some childhood memories. They also have a large room that they do bike repair in. Next? Oh, I forgot that I'm in Wisconsin. There's always a next in Wisconsin. Where I'm from, you usually plant yourself in one location and hope that they find your curled up self in a corner before they close. Such as it is, let's do this. As we made our way to the backside of the Garage, we find ourselves part of a scattered group of revelers who were all imbibing of the product. That product being, of course, beer. The equal of humanity. The handshake of nations. The reason for our visit. And for good reason, the purpose was to indulge, and that we did. My buddy suggested that we get a jump on the season and have an Oktoberfest. I had to remind him that it being the waning days of September, we were already in the midst. Oktoberfest was well under way. "Semantics, he said, let's just get a damn beer!" Good idea, John, good idea. We both chose an Oktoberfest. Ice cold it arrived to the bar mat, and ice cold it went down. The day was unusually warm for this time of year, so the cold beverage was a treat as we lounged in the Adirondack chairs under the tarp. This was the life. Not a care in the world. Relaxing and watching as the world passed by. Which included a string of pearls who were on parade. Each flaunting their late summer attire. An unexpected pleasure? Or is this the norm for The Garage Bikes and Brew. I'd say that it's worth a repeat visit. Wouldn't you? Quick Tip: There's a stage under the big top. Music can be had if you time it right. Seems our timing is never right. Such was the case on this occasion. The band was packing up when we settled in. We didn't pack it in though. We stayed and enjoyed the beer, and the scenery.
