Do not use this company. They are unprofessional, unethical, and the worst business I have ever come across (I work with small businesses daily). Save the hassle and read this true account of our experience with Excell if you are still considering using their services.
Our limo arrives and our driver Mike gets out to introduce himself. His appearance was very disheveled: his collar was a mess, his shirt was untucked, and a few minutes later he triumphantly announced he'd located his socks.
He then informed us that he is a baron, not a real baron of course (this was obvious) but a gentleman. So there was that.
He then haggled our friend who organized our trip to wine country about driving across SF to pick up 3 other friends (who took a cab over), and also to pick up one more friend on our way up there that would be ten minutes off and back onto the freeway. He finally agreed to this and was paid $500 cash.
We finally get on the road and the ride was not too smooth. Whenever we wanted to speak to our driver, "the Baron" was unavailable because he insisted on not leaving the divider between the front and back down. (Not sure if this is a law, but it was rude nonetheless.) Additionally, there was trash in the back from a previous party and sections of the limo wall were hanging off.
We arrived at the first winery and Mike informs us he isn't staying, that he's going to go elsewhere and to call him 10 minutes before we want to leave. This was not only strange, but very unprofessional in everyone's opinion. We agreed though...
Fast forward to the third winery we visit. We're about to get in the limo and leave when Mike the Baron says he needs a second credit card from someone. We asked why and he explained it was for any potential damages, in case we arrive home later than we stated, etc. This was, mind you, about 5 hours into our trip. We were appalled. When we said to him this was not only very unprofessional (especially from a Baron) but highly suspicious, an argument followed. He then said he was not going to bring us back to San Francisco and called the police when we refused to leave his car. When we tried calling the office to speak with management there was no answer at all, which was also very suspect on a Saturday, when one would expect a limo company would be getting many calls. The police said the decision was his alone whether or not to bring us back, and he left us at the winery. We were shocked, as well as stuck in Napa. Fortunately, the good people at Signorello had a friend with a very large truck who voluntarily returned us home.
Anyone who uses this company is asking for trouble.
To date, the credit card associated with the initial reservation hasn't been additionally charged, but it has only been a week.
