We feel a little safer now and this was important for our kids to learn too.

So I decided to take the class to learn how to drive safely in snowy/icy weather. Michal was very knowledgeable and I learned a ton. The first part of the class involved watching informational slides as he talked and some videos of scary accidents. The actual driving portion was super fun! You get to practice how to handle different types of skidding, and Michal would give you notes on what went wrong and how to correctly navigate. I was not very good at first, but after doing it over and over again, it felt more like second nature by the end of class. I'd highly recommend this class!

I scheduled a driver's test, took time off work, and rearranged my entire morning because of their strict--and honestly unforgiving--policies: If I cancel less than 18 hours before my appointment, I forfeit $55 of the $98. If I arrive more than five minutes late, I also lose $55 of the $98 and the appointment is canceled. So I made sure to arrive early--well before my 9:15 AM appointment--to avoid any chance of being penalized. At 8:56 AM, less than 30 minutes before my scheduled test, while I was already inside the office, my phone rang. "Is this De'Anna? Has anyone called you?" I said, "No, I'm standing in the office right now." She casually replied, "Well, we're going to have to reschedule you." Let me emphasize this: they canceled on me with barely any notice, yet if I had canceled with that kind of notice--or arrived just a few minutes late--I'd be charged and lose most of my payment. The double standard is absolutely unacceptable. The explanation I received was that I could "drive up to Westminster" because "the routes were closed." If the routes were closed for them, why wouldn't they be closed for me? The whole situation felt dismissive and completely unprofessional. I told her that since they were canceling, I wanted a full refund, not credit. She repeatedly tried to pressure me into accepting a "credit on my account" and coming back another day. Absolutely not. I rearranged my work schedule for this appointment specifically to follow their rules--why should I be inconvenienced for their cancellation? She eventually agreed--reluctantly--and said it would take 7-10 business days to process. I even called later, and a woman named Vanessa assured me I'd receive a full refund. This morning, I checked their website and saw an account balance of $98. They credited my account instead of issuing the refund they promised. Why would I want credit with a business I will never return to--especially when I've already gone elsewhere and completed the test? This entire experience has been unprofessional, frustrating, and completely avoidable. I'll be contacting my financial institution immediately. I strongly recommend going anywhere else for your driving test.

Having to schedule driving lessons with them is an ABSOLUTE PAIN because their lessons are MONTHS OUT and at odd times, which is an absolute inconvenience. Just to add more salt to the wound, they expect you to pay for three driving lessons for their standard package which does not help you with their driver's test in anyway. Oh? Do you want better results behind the wheel with our premium package? TOO BAD! It costs 1,000 dollars. I wish they could give you more time behind their wheel because driving in an unfamiliar car where you don't know how the car handles isn't a fun experience. And don't get me started with the cars! The floorboards are caked with dirt, the seats inside of the cars are worse for wear, and I've gotten a comment from my teenage brother who's also a student at Master Drive that the Kia Soul that he drived smelled like sweat. The cars that they expect the students to drive don't handle very well especially with the breaks being very spongy. As a driving school that pride's itself for safety, you'd expect them to maintain their cars. NOPE! Their cars are terribly maintained. Take your business somewhere else unless if your okay with a being handed a booklet and a pat on a back that says " We're not going to teach you. You should do our job for us " because this school does not engage with you in anyway with their instructors. Yes, parental guidance is important for driving. But, the instructor needs to also be in the picture creating a personalized plan for their student. Which Master Drive does not with only three lessons in their standard package. Driving students need more time to drive with instructors that want to help their students and be supportive to help them become a safe driver. Protect your pockets people!
