I have been seeing chiropractors for over 20 years and Rich for several years. Rich by far is the best. Rich and his staff are very efficient and friendly. He is Palmer schooled which the most prestigious chiropractic college in the world. If my medical doctor suggests a certain procedure, I opt out for Rich first. He always has the right spine adjustment to fix spasms to headaches and other medical issues. I always feel like a new man when I leave his office. Recently my primary doctor ordered a CAT scan for a lingering low-level headache. Rich performed an adjustment that solved my headache and dizziness, immediately saving thousands of dollars of cost. This place is cookie cutter with some sprinkles so you don't get bored. Now now now I know what you are thinking. Why are you giving it 5 stars? Although the place is cookie-cutter. The staff and the chiropractor does a amazing job with customer service and making you feel welcomed. I am not sure who the lady is at the front desk, but she has to be the nicest person in the world. All in all this place really wasn't for me. No insurance needed. $55 for 4 visits. I have medical insurance, but the program here is much more cost effective and convenient. Open 9am to 12:30pm then open again 3:00pm to 6pm. Closed Thursday and weekends. No appointment necessary, just walk in (try that at other practices!). If you're looking for a really knowledgeable chiropractor with an outstanding demeanor who doesn't charge an arm and a leg, go to Excel Chiropractic! Rich is AMAZING. I wish I could clone him, and train the clones to work in multiple industries so he could be my cashier at Vons, my Customer Service rep at Cox, my attorney, my accountant, and anything else! I have Cerebral Palsy on my left side, and after 36 years of compensating for that, my right side was hurting a LOT! I booked a last minute appointment, and I'm SO glad I did, but not just because I feel better! Rich is extremely knowledgeable. He doesn't just guess what may benefit you, but he'll weigh pros and cons and keep you informed. Also, he is HILARIOUS, and that can be difficult to find in medicine. I legitimately look forward to going to his office after work because I know I'm going to leave smiling. Excel's office hours go later than 5PM, which is INCREDIBLY convenient and very much appreciated. Additionally (and this is subject to change of course), his practice only charges you one copay a WEEK, even if you go all four days they're open. I've never been to a medical professional who hasn't charged me for each visit, and we've all had to pay for those mandatory appointments that left us asking, "So...what was the point of coming here?" This was my first visit. Upon entering the lobby... Veronica, the receptionist, was beyond friendly and helpful. The lobby was quite full... but it emptied out in a very timely manner. I filled out a few pages of paperwork and by the time I had completed it... Dr. Bakir was calling me back. Before I even got on the table... he went over my past and current pains and seemed very since about finding a plan that would work for me. As soon as I got on the table... it was magic... he knew exactly where my pain was coming from and he worked on it for a while so it wouldn't be so tense. Then... he rolled me over to my back and the most amazing thing happened!... He Cracked my Neck! excuse my excitement... but my neck hasn't cracked in at least 5 years! I left with my muscles feeling looser and like Dr. Bakir gave me hope where there had been none for far too long. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! read more

This 0 star is for the receptionist. I did not even get to meet Dr. Bakir since I had to walk out of there because of the humiliation I got from Kathy, the receptionist. Yeah, the same secretary all the other reviews here I read about her being welcoming and all. I was pretty nervous when I walked in there since I've never been to a chiropractor before. I chose this place since it had 5 STARS out of 23 reviewers. (I've never seen all 5 stars out of 23 reviews out of 23 reviewers) The receptionist greeted me with a "rolling eyes," according to my friend I was with. I did not see this since I had my eyes on the sign in sheet. I looked up to say hello to her as I handed my referral paper and said, I'm not sure how this works," to her. She looked at the paper and said, " so you mean you don't have an appointment and just doing a walk in right now?" I said yes, ...your sign says Walk ins welcome" Her response was, " yeah! If you're not a new patient! After that you can walk in anytime you want! I was shocked and speechless at this point. Why was she being rude to me?? She gave me a clipboard and told me to fill it out. I sat down. I told my friend I didn't want to be there anymore. He said, I'm surprised you didn't see or say anything to her when she was rolling her eyes on you". I had no idea she was, or why she did? I started writing the date, still in shock, feeling like I was just embarrassed by this person in front of some kids in grade school. I took off. Feeling very humiliated by this person. What did I do to deserve such treatment? If she was having such a busy day, she could just told me to come back and make an appointment. If this was such a welcoming place according all 23 other reviews, then I must have been singled out. Either that or she must have been having such a bad day she had to take it out on me. I'm jumping on the band wagon! It's true; Dr. Rich is a great chiropractor. First, Kathy in the front reception is friendly and welcoming. I'm pretty sure she runs the entire operation and Dr. Rich just works there - maybe ;) He takes appointments and walk ins, but the wait for walk ins is never bad. I've had 3-4 people ahead of me and I can be in and out in less than 30 min. Adjustments are straight forward, and effective. When I need a regular adjustment, I would come once a month. If I'm feeling bad, I like to come twice a week. The bonus, Dr. Rich is very personable and conversational. Like everyone says, he's got a sense of humor. I highly recommend Dr. Rich if you need an adjustment or need a smile :) Just don't come on Thursdays - the office is closed. read more
