That's a plus! We had a class at 10:30am in the morning. The inside looks small but there's two bathrooms, which is nice and it's separated from the class. For your first class, the rental is free. After that, you have to pay a small fee. We did the glutes class and that consists of switching between the stair master and the floor workouts. The instructor will give instructions to let you know what to do! Super helpful to follow along. At the end of the class, you get eucalyptus towels. My favorite part!! They placed it outside instead of handing it out. Would feel nice to have them hand it out. Overall, would love to come back but it's kind of far for me. Until next time.

Despite a 40minute drive from my home, I have made my way out to Costa Mesa to make sure I am able to attend the classes. After ClassPass, I had done the new member $30 for 3 classes and had an amazing time. When I called ahead because I was going to be late due to unforeseen traffic, the staff was kind enough to do a grace cancel despite calling only an hour ahead. I have done 4 classes so far and I will be sure to come back!!! The instructors and vibes are crazy good and I love this spot!

I called a second time the next day on Friday to follow up and they said they'd found it and put it in the lost and found bin and that I could pick it up the next time I came in. I live 30 minutes away so I wasn't able to come in until six days later (today) and it wasn't in the lost and found bin and they said it might've been donated. You would think that calling twice and having my name and number connected to that item would be enough to prevent it being donated not even a week later. I know I'm a ClassPass client but I claimed my item and clearly had intentions to retrieve it if I called twice right after the class and it's pretty upsetting that I was reassured it would be there and then it wasn't. If staff wasn't sure if I'd come back for it, a pickup time could've been coordinated. I know studios are technically not responsible for lost or stolen items and it's not even expensive but it's the principle of how it shouldn't have happened in a small gym and how it could've been easily communicated between staff or with me bc if I'd known they'd do this I would've made the 30 minute drive for it. I actually booked a class tonight just to pick up that jacket bc I normally cycle elsewhere. Now I'm just hoping for a callback on the unlikely chance they locate my property and that means I'll have to drive down yet again and that's IF they didn't give it away without my consent. There needs to be some kind of replacement or financial compensation for this bc this is truly unacceptable. I'm sorry to leave a bad review on a small business that has been otherwise pleasant but this was poorly handled af, that was my favorite jacket so yes it's dumb but this ruined my night and was upsetting so unless the situation is somehow rectified by returning my belongings or compensating the loss caused by the mishandling of this situation I'm going to remain unhappy with my overall experience and leave this review up. Yet he continued to follow me relentlessly, even trying to argue with me while I was using the restroom. Honestly, this is exactly the kind of "caliber" you get from the staff at cheap gyms.

The majority of all the old members of the Sports Club/LA left due to the different crowds of people Equinox has brought in. We called it the 24 hour fitness crowd. It's quite true. A lot of things has certainly changed drastically after it became what it is today. I would say 50/50% of things happening here are good and bad. Behind the closed doors things are not always what they seem for a 5 star upscale gym. A lot of members including myself had have our personal belongings stolen from us from time to time. I've personally had a issue recently that resulted in someone stealing by $200 cycling bib shorts after I went to take a shower after a extremely exhausting spin class. That's pretty disgusting on who ever stole a pair of stinky worn shorts belonging to someone else. Others have their underwear stolen directly from their lockers while they simply walked away to get something. It's creepy. We never had this problem when the Sport Club/LA was around. Seem like all of the bad things that has happened to this beautiful gym is by members who were previously members of 24 hour fitness. Other than the negative things, Equinox is ALWAYS a nice gym to go to when you're looking for the most exclusive upscale gym other companies don't have. One thing that makes me laugh every time I walked through the front door is the valet service that offers easy parking for lazy people.

During my workout, I saw what appeared to be an employee Marco leaving the building with someone in a way that seemed "inappropriate" for on-the-clock behavior. Whatever was going on, it made me uncomfortable and didn't feel professional for a gym environment. On top of that, the front desk was left completely unattended for quite a while. I was trying to ask a simple question about the renovation upstairs, but there was no staff available to talk to. For a busy gym, especially one undergoing changes, it's frustrating not to have anyone at the desk to help members. I hope management addresses the professionalism and staffing issues, because this location used to be much more reliable.
