I was transferred to a number that went straight to voicemail. I called back to ask how I cancel the appointment if they didn't answer. I was advised that since i left a voicemail it "should be fine" and "it should be cancelled" no reassurance or confirmation that my appointment, that I didn't even make, is cancelled. Their cancellation process is extremely difficult since text nor speaking to the office seems to be effective.

It is called POP Prosthetics and on paper the POP logo is big so when I was looking for the location I was literally looking for the word POP. Don't do what I did! I was referred to POP by my doctor to obtain a hand brace. I was a bit confused because I thought it would be a regular store where you just walk in and pick up a brace, but when I arrived they had me check in, full out paperwork, obtained my driver's license and insurance. Similar to a doctor visit. I had a few questions, but the person at the front mentioned it was only her second day working so I said, "no problem, we can learn and find out together." They processed my insurance and gave me an option to bill my insurance to meet my deductible or pay for it without billing my insurance which would've been cheaper. Honestly, I thought was a bit weird, but I chose to bill my insurance. After that, they called my name and walked me into a room. The girl asked me a few questions then obtained my hand brace. She showed me how to try it on then I was on my way. One suggestion: you should notify the patient upon arrive the process to obtain the brace. I wasn't expecting to spend 40 minutes in there and I didn't know it would've been similar to a doctor's visit. The 3 girls in the front were super nice and friendly. The one that obtained my brace even offered me water while I was waiting. I'm not sure how they compare to other places or the cause of the not so positive reviews, but I've never had to shop for a brace before, but overall the experience was a positive one.

I was told they were shipped to the other office and I would have to come back tomorrow to pick them up. When I questioned how long it takes to get compression stocking they told me it always takes 5 or 6 weeks to get them. Well, I may have taken too much time, because it turns out, you actually have to be fitted with things and measured and make appointments to see people at orthotics and prosthetics places. We chose to come to Brace It first because my doctors office said it was the best for insurances. We walked in on a Friday around 330pm and the very nice person at the check in desk let us know that they in fact do not take my insurance and we'd have to pay cash. We left and started calling the other places on the list. Some answered, some didn't, and the ones that took my insurance were not available until after my surgeries would have started. We decided to just pay cash because I needed my equipment. Honestly, I thought the pricing was fair, even close to what I'd expect to pay out of pocket even if my insurance was used. We waited in the office for approximately 5 minutes before we were called back for the fittings. The person helping us was so kind and thoughtful and gave us really great advice for post surgery usage. He made sure to make sure I was confident and wanted to answer any questions I had. He gave us his card and told us we could call anytime if we had any questions we didn't think of at the time. While we were checking out, the person at this desk was also so super kind and helpful and told us to really not feel a way about calling if we had any questions. The customer service here is amazing and I really appreciate that they take walk-ins and are so quick with everything. If you want to come in as a walk-in though, I would call for hours. I'm pretty sure the door said they don't take walk-ins on Wednesdays and they last walk in is at 4pm every other day they are open. Also, the place is very clean and organized. We use VSP eye insurance so we know they accept that. They also have a selection of glasses and frames to take care of any prescriptions you may want to use.
