They do not have any problem sending me text messages of promotional spam and emails but can't email me back in a timely manner then charge me a fee I never agreed to or was made aware of. I was also falsely accused of no shows and late cancellations in the past which is completely untrue. I am so disappointed in the way I was treated after being one of her first clients and a supporter of her business with multiple positive reviews and referring her clients when she built her practice.

Details below: Upon expressing my concerns after my first procedure, the staff at Signature Medical Spa had me in right away to take pictures and try to understand why my results were so short-lived. They couldn't figure out a precise reason why, which makes sense. Lip injections are very individualized and sometimes the filler just doesn't work well for you. Dr. Straka concluded that I was right -- I did not receive the results I had hoped for. Therefore, the spa offered to re-do my lips at zero charge to me. I was really astounded they were so committed to my satisfaction, as this is not an inexpensive procedure. The second time I got my lips done by Dr. Straka, my experience was much better. The pain wasn't so bad and I felt like she paid great attention to detail. It has been about a month and a half now, and my lips still look great. My close girlfriends are coming up to me asking how I am getting my lips to look so luscious! None of them expect that I'll say injections because they look so natural, albeit noticeably fuller. I sat there while she typed and abruptly said "I actually think I'd like to stop this process, I didn't realize it was a loan type situation". She stopped and looked at me, said she had already submitted...claiming she didn't understand what I meant, it's just their process. I told her I had not signed anything therefore I'd like to stop. After having such a great experience I'm now going home frustrated and worried they ran my credit already without my knowledge. I feel set up and taken advantage of in my relaxed state. While I am upset about what happened to me, I just want to let others know so they're aware of the risks of seeing these "doctors." I was going to Charlottesville Dermatology for about five months to take the medication Isotretinoin (formerly known as Accutane). The PA (not a dermatologist) that prescribed it to me had a pretty meh personality (Amy Randolph? Rudolph?) and did not answer the questions I had in any sociable way, but I did not really care because I just wanted to get through the medication. I started seeing someone named Ines, and she was better. I always thought their billing/reception staff was pretty rude/incompetent, but again, I viewed this as a temporary relationship, so I didn't change providers. At this point, I probably would have given them 3 stars. For those of you that don't know, Accutane is highly regulated, so female patients must take a pregnancy test monthly per federal law. The doctor's office must then fill the prescription within seven days of that test, or another test is required. That's right, they forgot to fill my prescription, so I had to go back for another pregnancy test and was unable to take my medication for a week. No one apologized. Then I found out through a friend that my medication is unequivocally supposed to be taken with a fat-heavy meal, such as salmon or nuts, to ensure absorption. I immediately verified this online, and according to the Mayo Clinic, it's true. I took an extremely intense and life-altering medication (you have to use two forms of birth control on it and cannot drink more than one drink) only to find out that for five months it likely wasn't properly being absorbed. This could explain why my acne only started to clear up after I started going to UVA's Dermatology group. The kicker is that you can only take so much Accutane in your system, so I now have to go off it. I have no way of knowing how much medication was being absorbed, and I never will. This is medical malpractice, and while I will not pursue legal action, I can only hope that no one else has to.

I consulted with many NYC plastic surgeons who all wanted to perform very invasive brow lift surgery, I did not need brow lift surgery just a singular eyebrow lift. Dr. Kaltreider was the only oculoplastic surgeon I could find who did direct brow lifts. Her office manager Cynthia was so helpful and knowledgeable and really one of the nicest people you will ever meet! Dr. Kaltreider and her nurse Jonni are so nurturing and caring and I felt totally comfortable and confident that I was going to have the best results and I did! Dr. Kaltreider really listened to me and did exactly what I wanted. She made sure I felt no pain and communicated with me the entire time. Jonni made certain to assist the doctor and keep me comfortable as well. It was almost like a spa treatment. I also had a small amount of xeomin placed in between my brows and Dr. Kaltreider placed only where I wanted. I totally understand that anytime you have a procedure where skin is cut you will have a scar and I was willing to trade a small scar for corrected eyebrow position, however, even after a few days my results look amazing and I know if I need any touchup or scar treatment that Dr. Kaltreider will do everything necessary to correct. Stay Away-charlatans-- These people are only interested in money. We did not even have an…read moreappointment with them, we are seeing an GYN doctor and on our way out they asked us if we wanted information. We said sure. We had no idea that information was going to cost over 600 dollars. They never once said it was an office visit, because it was not, they never once told us we would be charge anything. We were clear we were not going to pay anything for information. We have insurance but we were not sure if it would cover it. We told them from the start we were not willing to do anything till we knew about the insurance and I had to research more about what she was telling me I needed. She told me 50 percent of my vision was being impaired by my eyelid by a 3 minute test they give. She coached me on how to take the test. They brought us into another room and had us fill out papers they said "was only for insurance pre-approval". We told them then and with followup calls I was not sure I wanted any procedure and I would decide after I spoke to my insurance and did my own research. When I first saw the doctor I asked her if she had her eyebrows done she said no, I asked her assistant Lois and she said yes she did and so did the doctor. Why did the Doctor lie about her eyebrows? I began to feel uneasy with the situation and called in to let them know I was not comfortable with any of this. My husband called in about the bill we received and by the Assistant and the Doctor herself they both said "why does it matter you not paying it the insurance is". The problem is we were never told about any charge and the doctor told me by phone "its curious you want to know everything that is going on". That was the final straw and I cancelled everything with them, reported them to my insurance, reported them to Sentara, and Im reporting her to the medical board. The only thing these people care about is do as many surgeries as possible and make all the money you can and bill the insurance without the patient knowing what they are being billed for. I have found a new doctor and Im very pleased with her. I will post here as soon as I see her with the results of by eye light test and I bet it will not be 50 percent as Sara Kaltreider claimed. I will also see if I need Blepharoplasty upper eyelift and the brow Ptosis. After research and speaking to other medical professionals I was told that i did not need blepharoplasty but the eyebrow Ptosis would suffice. I called the office told Lois this and they pushed and pushed that I would need the Blepharoplasty too. I will find out for sure with my new doctor because I do trust the new doctor. I would not trust Sara Kaltreider with surgery or anything else. I found her to be dishonest and uses womens insecurities to capitalize on them. Well this woman is not insecure and I have only the interest of my vision. I suggest you search around. If you want someone who cares about you and not the money then stay away from Sara Kaltreider and her office minions. I have uploaded the bill that we never were told anything about and the eye test she gave me. In January I will see my new doctor and I will post the comparison. Till then, stay away from this place. Get a second opinion.
