I always have positive experiences at EWC. Wax specialists are experienced, nice, and gentle…read more However, today my experience was not as such. My specialist was not gentle in the slightest. Today was the first time where I've ever said "ouch", and I wax frequently and often. I literally said "ouch" out loud several times, and my wax specialist never acknowledged my pain or apologized, just kept yanking! She also never gave me a heads up before she was going to pull the strip, which other specialists always do. She really did not seem to want to be there, and was extremely dismissive. I've made note of her name, and will not return to her as a waxer. Again, I usually have a great experience, with waxers, such as Hailie, but the negative experience I had today weighs my overall rating to a 3.

"I recently went to Pure Skin Spa for a lash tint and lift with technician Michelle, and I'm so…read moreglad I did! About a year ago, I tried the same service at another spa--the tint was okay, but there was basically no lift at all. I started thinking there was something wrong with my lashes since they're so straight and fine. I decided to give it one more try and asked Grok for a recommendation, which led me to Pure Skin Spa. Michelle was incredibly sweet, professional, and right on time. The spa itself is very clean and has such a relaxing atmosphere. She only did the tint (which turned out great), but the lift actually took beautifully! I was shocked--in the best way--because I really thought my lashes just wouldn't hold a curl. I'm definitely coming back to see Michelle again and can't wait to try some of her other services. Two thumbs up!"

It had such a calm, soothing atmosphere that immediately made me feel comfortable. I booked my very first lower leg sugaring appointment with Michelle, and she was absolutely amazing! She was so welcoming, kind, and incredibly detail-oriented. Before we even started, she took the time to explain everything about the sugaring process, what to expect, and answered all of my questions. After the appointment, she also went over all of the aftercare instructions, which I really appreciated. Michelle was also just so easy and fun to talk to! She was funny, sweet, and made the entire appointment fly by. I was honestly surprised by how much less painful it was than waxing, threading, or even tweezing - it was way more comfortable than I expected. Overall, I couldn't have asked for a better first experience! I'm already looking forward to going back and continuing my appointments with Michelle. If you've been wondering whether to try sugaring or are looking for a great place to go, I highly recommend Sugar + Lemon. You won't be disappointed!

I was really looking forward to this massage, but unfortunately I left feeling disappointed…read more Natalia was pleasant, but despite asking several times for firmer pressure, I didn't notice much of a difference. The massage started at my feet and worked all the way up to my scalp, which I found to be an unusual sequence. I've had many massages over the years, and I've never experienced one done in that order, so it felt a bit odd. The pressure remained too light throughout, and I kept hoping it would improve, but it never did. I paid for a 90-minute session and, honestly, I was ready to leave after the first 20 minutes. To top it off, at the end of the massage I was handed a dry towel to wipe the massage oil off myself, which felt unusual and took away from what should have been a relaxing experience. The spa itself is beautiful, and the receptionist was warm and welcoming, which made for a great first impression. I just wish the massage had matched the quality of the rest of the experience.

Linda saved my lashes!…read more I've been to Linda before after buying a deal on Groupon. I already knew that she did an amazing job, but being the bargain hunter that I am, the next time I decided to get my lashes done, I went for a deal at a spa in Sonoma. 2 1/2 hours later, my lashes still looked pretty bare. Desperate to get my time and money's worth, I texted Linda a picture of my lashes and asked her if she would be able to fill them for me. She was professional and kind and she got me in within a couple of days. In less than an hour, she not only removed the lashes that were barely hanging on, but filled them in, making them look feminine and elegant, just as I was hoping for.
