A week after putting $2000 down to hold a spot for a cosmetic surgery on November 9, I had an emergency surgery where I had a bad reaction to the anesthesia. At that time I was told by my surgeon NOT to have any surgeries in the near future unless they were medically necessary. I reached out to Evolution MD (Office manager Laura) who didn't take any of my calls. I sent an email to management explaining my situation, requesting a refund and I was told not only that they will keep my money but also that I have a whole year to have the procedure done, this time with local anesthesia. They disregard the advice of my doctor and are acting greedily. DO NOT PUT MONEY DOWN for a surgery or they will keep it if you change your mind. A Friend of mine went here and they did a really bad job. She did not want bigger boobs she wanted them left up but they made them bigger. To make things even worse they blocked her number and her email. She said she did not get to see the DR before surgery or after. DO NOT GO HERE. I had multiple procedures completed on June 3, and Monday June 7th I requested an appt as my right breast was really swollen and painful. The nurse told me it was normal and that I needed another round of antibiotics due to the extensive amount of surgery I had. It is now June 10th and I've called EVERYDAY asking for my prescription to be sent to the pharmacy and it still has not been done. Dr. Zayas was my surgeon, the day of my procedure he was condescending, rude when I asked to increase my breast implant size, he even proceeded to disrespectfully flap my breast with his hand saying do you want it to sag. To the business owner that responded. I came in several times complaining of the same issues even a year later my tummy tuck still not right. It's a botched job. My stomach linea nigra is not even lined up with my navel, my navel is way to the right, and my lines nigra is to the left. So please explain that healing process of my lines nigra and how to correct that, it's going on 2 years and still no difference. The fluid above my navel was drained once and it turned into a hernia, the hernia is above my navel. I never had keloid skin and I had surgery before. Had my surgery with them a few days ago . My consultant was marilou she spoke to me a few days before my appointment and hasn't call me back since . I'm 4 days post op . Every time I go in for an appointment I'm given a new fee , mind you I paid for my procedure in full cash . They will tell you you need a minimum of 10 massages , not true , also I have to call and schedule an appointment with them and sometimes they don't even make the appointment I would have to call to confirm . They just don't see to care after you've paid and your surgery is complete . My results are fine even though I'm bruised in areas that they weren't suppose to touch . To start off.. DO NOT GO TO THIS CLINIC. They will give you an apt for surgery and leave you waiting... starving for another 4 hours. The doctor? No bed side manners ! They will make you wish you still had your spongebob square body shape because of how bad you are treated in this facility. No one should feel uncomfortable while going under the knife and that's exactly how you will feel in this facility. Let's not forget about the fact that they made me wait hours after my scheduled apt time, they had the audacity to shake me out of my anesthesia after the procedure. My family tried calling during my procedure and of course this rinky dinky place didn't even answer the phone. To top it off!!! NO ONE told me about the massages that I had to receive after my procedure... so here I am 4 days after surgery with no lipo massages... my holes for the drainage are now closed and need to be re opened in order to drain out properly! But wait there's more ! The after care instructions that ONLY SAY do not shower but with no specific instruction on when it is possible to take a shower. To be honest, I have to say that I wasn't pleased! I chose Evolution MD because I wanted the very best for me and Dr. Lipo( Cesar Velilla) had an incredible approach on social media and even reached out to me directly, which made me feel he was caring about his patients. I had some health issues and removing the fat was more than a cosmetic concern, of course I wanted to look good as well but mainly get better, lower my sugar levels, controlled my blood pressure issues and other problems. I was confident that I was doing the right thing, even though I read all the bad reviews they had, I decided to give them a chance. Booking wasn't an issue, pricing was high but they were able to accommodate by recommending another Doctor who was cheaper than Dr. Velilla. Preop appts. were very unprofessional, I even had to provide the surgery clearance documents and such to the coordinators because they didn't seem to be organized. I felt that I was treated without importance, and the wait overall was ridiculous. The staff was nice but not caring. I scheduled surgery with Dr.Zayas, who had a nice reputation but during the preop appointment I did not feel comfortable with him as he didn't hear my concerns, or answered my questions properly, there was no connection between patient and doctor. immediately I reached out to Martha my coordinator to cancel the surgery or evaluate other options. She assured me and convinced me to give him a try, she advised he was a great surgeon and sometime stress was the cause of this behavior. I accepted the apology and continued. Strangely but surely my surgery was performed by both doctors. I was awake the whole time and didn't choose general anesthesia due to health complications. I was able to identify them, and all the staff, who was there and what was done. My surgery was very painful even though they gave me 2 pain pills and a valium to go through surgery , no intravenous drugs or anything else was administered to make me sleepy. The procedure hurt a lot, and I was moving constantly which made the process very difficult to tolerate and obviously awful for them to work. They were rushing through it and didn't get all the areas that I paid for as they were supposed to. I still have a lot of fat on my back that is extremely noticeable and uneven lumps on the belly part. Luckily I was able to correct some of it with massages, treatments and cavitation's that I paid thousands of dollars extra, that I wasn't counting on. At the end I was exhausted and traumatized. I was sent home wit no pain meds, and they forgot to remove my IV line from the arm, so I had to tell the person who wheeled me down to remove it in the car. I followed up at the massage center the next day and saw a nurse practitioner but never saw any of the doctors again. I followed up at the clinic after my 12 massage, and I never received a phone call to check on me, or at least some sort of approach to check if I had any complications. I never saw the Doctor for post op to discuss anything. I am lucky to be alive, and lucky to say that even though it wasn't what I expected, I'm ok. I ended up investing a lot, and I am extremely sad this happened. That is why I will not recommend using this place or the doctors at this facility. I wont even go there again to correct anything. I worked with Doctors all my life, (Oncology Surgeons, Cardiac surgeons and Orthopedic surgeons) and I never seen anything like this before. I respect the knowledge they have as Doctors, however, being a Doctor is more than that, is caring for others and providing support and a great relationship to a patient to make them feel secure and taken care of. Do not go there please! and if you do like I did, be conscious this can happen to you! Choose other places, I regret it! This was not free , and everyone should get what they pay for. If I could give an advice to those reading, it would be: read all the bad reviews before deciding to have your surgery with them, these reviews are the truth! Having my surgery with Evolution MD was the worst experience of my life, and next I will list the reasons: 1. They treated me very well until I gave my deposit. Then I could barely talk to them to ask questions or to know about the process. 2. They lied to me to get my money. They said that I didn't need to lose any weight to have the surgery and that I even needed the fat I had to get fat from and put it on my butt. Lie!!! on the day of surgery, that's right, ON THE SAME DAY OF SURGERY, after all preoperative procedures, Dr. Lipo told me that I had fat left over and that if iI lost fat later i could lose my butt too. 3. I paid more to have my surgery done by Dr. Lipo and I'm not sure if it was done by him. I asked for the video of the surgery many times and they never sent it to me. 4. After surgery I cried and screamed a lot of pain, I asked for a strong remedy and they did not give me. The nurses told me to be quiet, that's right, be quiet and hold on, because there was nothing to be done. I went home with that unbearable pain, and found that they had only given me the pain medication level 1-5, while the pain I was feeling was 6-10. I was very ill and in pain that day and only the next day they prescribed something stronger for me. 5. As if that weren't enough, they left a burn on my skin that I still have today (my surgery was done 11 months ago). Because of this burn, they tried to do treatment with cream and oxygen and they not let myself use the "FAJAS" for more than 1 month, which completely compromised my result. I didn't have a flat belly as it should have been. 6. He removed more fat on one side than on the other .. and the butt was fuller than the other. I was all crooked .. there is more fat on one side than on the other. 7. They canceled my final appointment due to the covid and NEVER called me to reschedule. I hope that this text with everything that happened to me will help you reading this, study your surgery better and do it with a better clinic. And if not, well ... good luck! My mother was visiting from out of state when she thought to have a facelift procedure done. First, the payment given was not correct, and she never received the percentage off as promised. Worse was my poor mother complained about pain while in Florida. They explained that the pain was normal. She later flew back home and noticed some small stitches were coming out of the side of her face and ear. Because of her continued pain, she sought a doctor in her own state. They found stitches were never removed!! The doctor was reluctant to remove them as it was not his surgery, but because she was a long time patient, he removed them. The pain was gone! Her body was definitely rejecting the stitches. The sad part is the people in Evolution thought she was complaining for no reason and made her feel she was exaggerating her pain. The 2x she was seen by them (not the doctor; not sure if nurses), no one really bothered to look, or they did not have the knowledge to look for the symptoms. While I was there waiting, women were going in and coming out of surgery in front of everyone in the waiting room. Many seemed to be in pain, half asleep and bandaged/bloody. No privacy whatsoever. I've had my breast augmentation done here back in 2018 and then had capsular contracture on my right breast. Had a revision surgery on 2020 and now it looks like I'm having the contracture again on the same right breast. It's obvious that having a capsular contracture is not the doctor's fault but the way they quickly dismiss any of my concerns outside of the contracture is unprofessional. Aside from the contracture, my left breast dropped more than normal and my nipples were done incorrectly as the right one is bigger than the other by a big amount. The stitching they did on the areolar incisions were too big and it did not scar well at all. Mind you, this is after I did a nipple revision when I did my breast revision in 2020. Also, the edge of my right implant have been popping out on the top of my breast both times I had surgery. Doctor's answer to this, "DONT touch it". This was my first time doing any kind of cosmetic surgery and I was very aware that results won't always be "perfect". However, this company just cares about getting their money without caring about the end results. This place is a complete scam. Stay far, far away. They profile potential customers when they walk in and attempt to defraud you. They advertise "specials" as high as "40% off" that don't exist, and their own staff can't seem to read their own line items on their contract proposals. Literally listing free general anesthesia, and then charging $1K for it on their quote, on not one, but two separate proposals with different patients. It should be noted that when they identify that you don't speak Spanish the games begin. For a simple abdominal liposuction for an athletic male, and the same plus BBL for an athletic female; they wanted to charge $15,000+ and this is 40% OFF?! Their Dr. is not board certified and I'm not sure the staff has had any formal education ever. Be smart and don't pay these people to butcher your body. This office does not have sympathy or any type of consideration for there new clients. During these difficult times, they do not have one single shred of sympathy. I recently had made an appointment back in February for a surgery that was supposed to happen in April. I live in California hearing great reviews about the office. I bought plane tickets prepared to fly out to Miami. With the COVID-19 outbreak, the surgeon office called me and canceled the appointment. After making the deposit already, I asked if I could have the deposit refund back due to the circumstances. They kept going in circles trying to avoid giving me a refund for the deposit; they still haven't. They refuse to give me a refund. I have called multiple times and they place me on hold for 40 minutes and longer, avoiding to speak with me when they know it is me calling. They are unprofessional, selfish, uncaring, and completely not helpful. Once I am ready for surgery again, I will be turning my head away from this office. Dr. Velilla is the worst doctor! Not sure why they call him "Dr. lipo". I did lipo and was not satisfied with my results so he "retouched it." I mentioned to him that I'm skinny and there's no reason why I should have a belly after lipo but he blamed me for it. I insisted how unhappy I was and pointed out all my problem areas until he had no choice but to do it again. He didn't fix anything but he sure worsened everything. He left bigger scars from the cannula since he went thru the same holes he had recently opened. My skin is olive and my healing is not the best so as a doctor he should've known how to treat my skin. I got a breast reduction with lift and a extended tummy tuck. Dr Zayas did my procedures. Him and the staff was pleasant but I am very unhappy with my breast. They are still too big the left one is very noticeable. I am not seeing the lift at all. I expressed this several times but I was basically ignored. I was told they are smaller then they was as if they did me a favor. I paid for a service that I am not satisfied with. They are very responsive when it came to getting your money but once they are done it's like next. That is so unprofessional. For the amount of money I spent I expected better results and service. Dr. LIPO has an amazing facility With a pretty big staff. I had no issues with the staff, was treated very well. I like the office because it showed me he has an image and wants the best for the office. I schedule a lipo/bbl surgery. I was awake for the procedure. He did not take much fat out and gave me the ugliest look for the BBL. I have no projection but a wide butt and no projection. Basically I still have a flat butt. I waited after COVID almost 2 yrs later to talk to him. I was not asking for a freebie but just to give me a better look. I wanted another bbl/lipo to fix the look. I am not a fat person but just want my image to be different. With that said, I spoke with him and he quoted $9,000. My original lip/BBl with only $4800.00. He doubled his prices . There's too much competition out there for Evolution MD to charge that amount. You Mia Aestics and Dr. Miami who are reputable facilities And they do beautiful work. I just found out Dr.Lipo is not board certified Which is no bueno. If you had quoted me the same price I would have given your facility another opportunity. You got greedy and you lost a patience. It's sad that you didn't even warrant your work. Your facility really attracted me. My daughter got a bbl from Mia and she looks amazing.
