Way too pricey for what you actually get. They work off a template approach, so there is no real customization or thought that goes into it, and it is very apparent. (I had to spell check my resume writer) They claim to focus on getting you past the "applicant tracking system" Hey, that's great, but what about when it gets to a human??? The resume I got was EXTREMELY wordy and redundant. I thought the guy was joking. Such a joke, when I expressed concerns to the "CEO" Kristen Gilbert, she basically blew me off, just as the resume writer had, who was extremely unprofessional, didn't listen to feedback, and was condescending. If you want someone to actually listen, DO NOT CHOOSE EVOLUTION COACHING! I paid over 300 for the resume service, cover letter, and linkedin profile. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND AGAINST THE LINKEDIN SERVICE ESPECIALLY! They basically charge you 70 bucks to tell you to copy and paste the garbage resume that you paid over 200 bucks for. LOL. NO go, do not use this service unless you are into donating your money to Bozos. PS: I did not get any responses from the resume I got from this service, until I had gone back and revamped and edited it to be acceptable for human eyes. Complete waste! I understand that there are people that like the results from Evolution Coaching. Unfortunately for me, I was always frustrated with the resume because I just could not get the writer to understand what I wanted, what my skills are nor could I get her to stop making repetitive errors, omissions, or prevent her from adding falsehoods to my resume. Hoping I can save others from the situation I was in. Do not give this company your money. The resume writer I got created a resume full of run on sentences of stock language she must have pulled from a resume from the 80s. There wasn't even attention to detail on copying and pasting information from other resumes/sites into the correct area. Fast turn around & fast responses to questions!! I knew I needed help organizing my resume and highlighting some recent accomplishments. I felt my resume was not doing justice for all the hard work I've put in over the years. I decided to treat myself by having an outside company polish up my resume for me. Didn't know what to expect, but thought it would save me time (and brain power). HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend Evolution Coaching! I provided a very outdated resume and the way Julie organized, summarized, and presented the information absolutely exceeded anything I had hoped for. I provided her a bunch of files with reviews/recognitions I received from various managers, and she was able to include this information on my resume in a way that I could not have even imagined! When I complimented her, she was so humble, that she turned it on me and told me it was all my hard work, just her telling my story. You have to complete an initial questionnaire after submitting your resume, and that took a bit of time, so make sure you have some time to answer those questions. I think providing detailed answers helps the Career Advocate understand what is important to you. After I submitted the questionnaire, Julie turned around the first version of my resume in a few days, and it was absolutely amazing. We made some minor changes during the 7 day review process, but nothing major. I even added on the LinkedIn service because I was so impressed!! Kristen G., the company's owner, will make all kinds of guarantees and assurances to get your money that in the end, will all fall through. A staff writer that Kristen uses, Nikki B. has zero customer service skills and is seemingly more concerned with her personal life than with completing her job that you have paid for. In my experience, she and Kristen are absolutely not dependable. After waiting a month, and because I complained about the turnaround time taking too long, Kristen unilaterally cancelled my project leaving me without the CV I paid for and without any option but to start the whole process over again with a new company - WORST EXPERIENCE POSSIBLE!! read more

I just wanted to take this time to say how well Kristen (and the whole Evolution Coaching team) have offered a "Large Consultancy Feel" with a "Small Business Mentality". Everything from undersanding their pricing structure, to submitting documents for their initial review / critique, and working with Tara in particular went smoothly. There was no long wait, no uncertainty, and I always felt as if I knew what the next step was (a revision, a discussion, a minor edit, etc.). I paid to have my resume enhanced. The customer service was great. All seem like really nice people and were really responsive to any questions or concerns I had. However, it has been about 3 months now and all I have received is nothing but rejection letters. If your job is fairly technical, don't hire Evolution Coaching. I was a little worried about this from the get-go and contacted Kristen to see if her staff had experience in the financial services industry. Kristen assured me that Steve had experience in financial services and would be able to understand the content of my resume. Unfortunately, the resume Steve returned is completely unprofessional. The parts that Steve added had irrelevant and nonsensical terms and explanations, unclear and redundant sentences, and misused industry terms. What's worse, the original content of my resume was barely rewritten. Clearly Steve has no experience in financial services, despite Kristen expressly telling me he does. Kristen was dishonest about the capabilities and expertise of her staff. When I complained to Kristen and asked for her to refund my money, she was cordial but refused. She encouraged me to work with Steve to revise the original draft. I declined. Working with Steve to edit the draft would entail taking even more time to explain to him what was wrong, why it was wrong, etc. I will save time, energy, and stress by editing the word document myself or reverting to my old resume. I was extremely disappointed by this whole experience. After I had opened Kristen's quote on Thumbtack and hadn't "hired" her yet, she emailed me explaining that for the extra money Evolution Consulting charges, I would get a superior product. When this turned out to not be the case, Kristen told me I had not paid for a superior product, but instead for the hours Steve spent making up nonsensical content. Since Steve had already spent time working on it, she would not refund the money. Kristen "hooked" me by promised two things she couldn't deliver on: 1) someone with experience in the financial services industry and 2) a superior resume. She was misleading and dishonest. I encourage people looking for resume help to not turn to Evolution Consulting, and instead look for a company that guarantees help from someone with industry expertise and a better final product, or your money back. read more

Evolution Coaching exceeded all of my expectations. I needed help re-writing my resume because my previous resume (the one I wrote by myself) didn't accurately represent who I was, and I also wasn't really sure how to put everything into a format that hiring managers would read -- so I hired Evolution Coaching. I had an initial call with Kristen who was very informed about hiring processes and answered all my questions and worries (one of my concerns was having someone who knew and would be able to write about my specific field -- I was assured that they have many people dealing with different subjects and assign you the best person to fit your field), then I worked with Julie, who was extremely nice, helpful, and accommodating throughout the whole process. I gave her my previous resume and answered a questionnaire where I could tell her, among other things, what my hard/soft strengths and skills are, what my concerns are, and what I was hoping to convey through my resume (which is good, because you know that they take into consideration your own intention and how you see yourself). I received the first draft after a couple of days and it blew me away! You have the opportunity afterwards to suggest any changes/alterations, but I have to say -- the first draft was nearly perfect. I'm applying to jobs feeling more confident and that I have a resume to match my experiences and skills -- so thank you, Julie! Not worth the money. Numerous hours of my time spent correcting their run on sentences, explaining IT terminology, and spell checking their work. Horribly overpriced. I should have billed them for my time. Considering filing a complaint with my credit card company in order to get my money back. Please avoid this service. Junior writers with limited experience. In my conversation with John, he didn't have a clue how to reformat my resume to what I needed, and did not respond to my requests. Now he no longer works for them. I chose to have a "professional" write my resume, a cover letter, and thank you letter, big mistake. Resume writer asked me to email job postings of what type of position I am pursuing. He took the postings and designed the resume with the job postings as a foundation and the first draft listed me as an "expert" in areas that neither my education or experience support the statements. After submitting my requested corrections the second draft improved a little. Again, it was a mistake, but I gave approval and that's on me. Cover letter had "one" word misspelled. It was just one but when your paying for someone to write for you there should be no typos even on the first draft. Anyway, I asked a friend that wrote her husband's resume and his resulted in a large amount of responses. She rewrote may resume and now I am seeing results. Save your money, search online or purchase a book, and take the time to write your resume. This lesson cost me over $300.00. read more

This is by far the worst customer service I have experienced in a long time. I don't even know where to begin. I was assigned to a writer by the name of Tara. If you want to pay damn near 200 dollars to be spoken to in a demeaning/derogatory manor then by all means hire these people that claim to be professional writers. The terms on the website states a draft would be sent to you after 5 days and that you have up to 7 days to request for revisions. Tara sent me my first resume draft, I read it and had some input. I stated that the font size of my job title was too small, and i thought the resume was redundant and too wordy. I should of never said that, because i received two long paragraphs basically telling me I have outdated views on resume writing and i should educate myself on current practices. This is basically the nicer and condense version of what she wrote. She then sent me a second draft five minutes later that was basically the same as the first one.I was in disbelief that she had the audacity to talk to a paying customer about my own resume in such a fashion. Don't waste your time or money using this company, I basically have to find someone else now to redo my resume. read more
