This chic and lively spot is fun for wine tasting and light food. Right on a corner in the Old Mill district, it's an easy stop for doing some wine tasting. There is good chill music in the background and outdoor seating, as well as indoor tables and the wine bar. Naked Winery is a marketing triumph. The wines are all named in sexually suggestive ways, and the staff are attentive, knowledgable and entertaining. It's fun to taste the wines and chat. However, the wines are pretty average. Nothing really stood out for us; the chardonnay was unoaked (which we like!) and pleasant, but only ok, both of the pinot noir were nice with earthy tones and good acid balance, but on the light side with almost no fruit, the syrah was also light. We both thought the viognier was the best choice, not very flowery for this variety, but well balanced and good enough that we bought a few bottles. Note that they have a separate tasting list for the sweeter wines, like muscadet, but we did not try those -- they may have been better. Granted, we live near Napa and Sonoma, and are more used to the fuller-bodied varieties common in California. However, we both love a good Oregon pinot noir or sauvignon blanc, and buy them regularly. Unfortunately, this winery isn't making a sauv blanc, and I think their pinot noir has a ways to go, especially for the price. read more

We're members of the Naked Winery Club, so this was one of many enjoyable experiences at the Bend shop. But it was particularly memorable, and I thought I'd share. We were walking around the Old Mill, and actually didn't realize that it was "release day," meaning we could pick up our quarterly wine allotment, and enjoy some food pairings. We were greeted by a server, who directed us to the sign-in area, where she set us up with a smiling young lady named Aliah. We were led through stations where they had paired several excellent wines with interesting munchies. And afterward, we were given our current wines, and we headed home. But Aliah made this memorable. Her effervescence was catchy ... she made this a great experience. She knows her wines, knows "why" they were paired with the foods, and you can't help it smile and appreciate her enthusiasm. All the Naked employees are excellent, Aliah is a major asset. read more

The place is cute, I love the whole idea of this winery especially the naughty descriptions on the bottle and their mission to cut America's divorce rate in half. Carlene was friendly and wonderful. I just did not enjoy the wines. Having been to Napa and Temecula and being a member of other wine clubs, they just don't compare. I did the flight of sweet wines and sadly didn't really enjoy any of them. I purchased a Groupon which included a $20 credit and brought a bottle home with me. I gave it another chance at home but only took a few sips and I was done. It just was not what I expected for a so called sweet wine. I love my ports. We became members of Naked Winery when we first moved to Bend four years ago. Since then we have bought a lot of their wines. Back then the employees were friendly, fun and remembered us every time we visited..... Yesterday we visited and had a tasting and the girl that served us was very rude. She acted like it was a pain to serve us, didn't describe the wines just poured them like she was annoyed. The quality of wines has also changed, there were a couple of wines I had to toss because they weren't palatable. My husband and I decided we weren't going to continue our membership. Visit Via Plano down the street for quality wines from Walla Walla, WA. Great wines and most important frisky and personable employees that look like they enjoy what they do! read more

This place is clean, has a great atmosphere, and the staff is phenomenal. I joined the club over a year ago and it has been well worth. Always take my out of town guests here to sample wines. It's a good place to start an evening out. I don't always ask for a cheese plate but when I do they are quick to get it. This is the most awesome place in Bend. If you only have time to visit in one place while you were in Bend, go to the naked winery tasting room in the old Mill District. We became members and have the absolute best time every time we come into town for a our regular wine tasting and cheese plate. Their Hollywood party which is an annual event was extraordinary and we brought six of our friends who are visiting from out of town. It is now become an annual tradition and we can't wait for 2018. My friend and I had a glorious time wine tasting here. The wine was fantastic but it was the employees that made it truly special. Our main gal was named Bekka and was very informative and laughed with us as we tasted. Definitely above and beyond customer service as well as a second lady who helped us but I did not catch her name. Plus you get to keep your tasting glass as a keepsake and they are more than willing to do a photoshops of you with their many signs such as "I just got naked"! The wines all have kinky tongue in cheek names and the back of the labels describing the wines are hilarious. We started with the Pinot Noir and progressively tasted darker and richer wines. I really liked all the wines we tasted and I would totally be in the club if I lived anywhere near Bend. We had family in town and wanted to go wine tasting for the day. We drove to the four local wineries. We really enjoyed our time at Naked. We had a tasting of 8 different wines, which includes the complementary wine glass for $10. The staff are exceptionally fun and pleasant to be around. We've had a great experience every time we've visited. We definitely liked some of the wines better than others. Oregon wines taste completely differently from Napa/Sonoma County wines, it may be an acquired taste. Certainly those wines that were aged a couple more years had deeper, richer flavors. It was fun to actually compare the current wine with it's sister wine from a few years earlier. WOW! We especially enjoy the "O" series of red wines including Orgasmic Zinfandel, Oh Barbara, the Missionary Cabernet France and the very expensive Love Shack Cabernet Franc. Their motto at Naked Winery is, "We aim to Tease"! There are a lot of sexual puns in all their wine names and the descriptions on the back of the wines. It can get to be a bit too much at times. They do succeed in having fun and offering a "don't be so serious", playful experience in wine tasting. We were neither rushed nor ignored and keeping with their silly theme they offer "fish and chips" to clean your palette between tastings, consisting of fish crackers and chocolate chips. The Tasting Room is open Monday-Sunday at 11am.  We're now members of the Naked Winery Club which offers some nice discounts, and the special privileged of free tastings anytime for you and a guest. We recommend this as one of your stops while visiting Bend and the Old Mill District. read more

My family and I take an annual trip from our Seattle area homes to central Oregon and love to frequent what the great town of Bend has to offer. This year marked our first trip to the Naked Winery. Well advertised and a buzzy word of mouth in regards to their quality selection and a catchy brand that is equally scandalous as it is playfully fun. Greeted by the two lovely ladies and their sweet service dog, the establishment located on the Old Mill District mall strip corner is very welcoming and carries what one would expect from a nicer wine-based outfit. We were given generous tastings to a wine tour that gave us quite the variety and ended up taking home a 12 bottle case of a nice selection home to remember it by. This was a fun place to spend our pre-dinner hours but the actual wine isn't impressive. Down to earth and not uppity about their wine at all. It was busy but the single staffer was totally on top of her game and remembered where we were at in our tastings even with the several other parties there. We tasted 9 wines for $10 and we each got a different flight, so in reality we both tasted at least 16 different wines. My boyfriend guzzled the goldfish and chocolate between pours and we enjoyed the bustling atmosphere. The biggest downside is there wasn't much time to explain to us in much detail about the wine or how it was made or differs from other wines. We weren't there for that, though, so it was fine. We ultimately purchased a bottle of wine to take with us as a souvenir, though we felt completely comfortable just doing the tasting. There was no pressure to purchase anything. I had a great time at this adorable little winery in Bend. I came to visit my bestie and she decided this was a place I should experience. We were warmly greeted by the staff when we walked into the simple but cute tasting room. We had a flight of wines that were delicious but unfortunately I can't remember which kinds we had because this adventure was over a year ago and this review is long overdue! I do still have the wine glass they give you as a gift after your tasting. We found some silly photo props to take pictures together while we sipped our wine with puns like "I got naked!" or something along those lines. We couldn't help but giggle at the names of the wines including Climax and Penetration but I think that's the point. The location is cute. The wines have fun, cheeky names. The bartenders were good. The wines themselves were...meh. We shared a flight with the intention of probably getting a bottle or two. All of the wines were okay, but I thought the bottles were all about a price bracket above what I would expect to pay for what was in my glass. I've gone to Naked a few times already and this last time was definitely the best one yet. We had Taylor taking care of us and he was so crazy knowledgeable about all the wines, told us about where their flavors originated and also what food they paired well with. Definitely helped us really appreciate the wines more and gave us much more information than I've received in the past about their wines. 5 stars is for Taylor, he's amazing. Definitely the best staff member and made a memorable impression! Hope to be able to bring him on to our event bartending business in the future actually. Only downside (4 stars) I would say would be the seating, the stools are too short for the tables and then the barrels aren't totally comfortable to sit around. I'd love if they got new seats or tables, but if you get a couch you're set! read more

I cannot speak to the location in the Mill District. But I can speak to the 36 dollar bottle of white sparkling wine that I bought inside the Les Schwab Concert venue (only Naked Winery products were available) and THAT wine was awful ... and all in the group I was with agreed. If Les Schwab Ampitheatre is going to give the wine concession to one entity maybe they should give some consideration to quality of wine when charging more than 30 bucks for a bottle. read more

Stopped by their stand at Bend Summerfest yesterday. Was really turned off by the "wine snob" vibe if the staff. The staff was too engaged in conversation with the 4 other fest goers at the stand to be bothered. One dropped some things and my bride and her friend helped pick up. I guess this is just expected since the gal carried on without a word of thanks. We were told about how many folks from all over are in their club. Benefits of the club? I don't know, they didn't say, but there are people from all over the US in it. Yay! Was sharing my experience with a friend and he had a similar experience in their shop. So not just a bad day then. We've visited all sorts of Oregon wineries with all sorts of price points, specialties etc. Naked really understands two things: customer service and value for the money. Their Bend tasting room is certainly no exception... Always fun and always a good buy. read more

Best wine tasting experience I have had yet. Super hilarious sexual names and innuendos make me feel most comfortable and relaxed here. Which is refreshing coming from a high class and pretentious wine country. I bought the Rambling Red which is served in a classy looking plastic bottle safe for the great outdoors and is listed under the category of Outdoor Vinos. Taylor and Sean's welcoming and upbeat attitude made me feel at home and like I was with close friends. The employees clearly know their wine and excel in customer service and vino knowledge! My wife and I were driving through the Old Mill tonight and suddenly noticed that Naked Winery is now there, so we took a chance and went in. My wife and I are huge foodies and wine fans. I have one thing to say, the wine rocked, but even more importantly was the staff rocked. Whoever hired the staff has a gift for HR. The assistant manager was Peyton and Cassie our server. What was amazing was just how in sync everyone was, entertaining, pep in step, smiling and they flat out "get it". Get what? That they are in the hospitality business! I've been to all 3 Oregon Naked locations, Hood River and McMinnville put this location to shame. This last weekend was my actually my 2 time in the Bend location, thinking give it another try.. Horrible customer service yet again, very unpersonable staff. Was ignored multiple times to the point that we had to go to bar and ask for next pours in our flight. Yes it was busy but not to that extent, we've seen standing room only, this time was empty enough to find a seat. I would be more understanding if that was the case. They had 4 staff on, that stood talking amongst them selves. Sorry to have to put such a bad review against someplace I love going but this location has lost my business.
