    Fire pit

Absolutely amazing service!! The wine is top tier and caters to all different tastes. Only low point is the ambiance outside was kind of lacking because of the fire pit "situation". It works but is not nice to look at. I also wish there were some speakers outside to listen to. There are cars passing by on the street which is relaxing but can make people sleepy rather than want to stay and have more amazing wine. And the construction part sucks... but what can they do about that.

So half of Reno seems to take off for Bend and this was our second trip. We do a lot of beer tasting and eat great food in Bend but this is the wine experience that you'll love and will enjoy sharing with friends. I'm talking about fire pits and cozy blankets and comfy chairs. The staff is friendly and the wine is incredibly delicious. You'll want to buy several bottles! Check the hours and go sip wine.

I'm going to be honest, I dislike wine quite a bit. That didn't change coming here. The atmosphere is fantastic though and the cheese and olives were decent. If you like wine and want a cool, very relaxing place to go, I would recommend checking this place out.

Loved this winery!! It has such a nice front outdoor patio area to hang and enjoy some wine! Great atmosphere and the staff was so kind and helpful with selecting wines to try. Came with a few girlfriends and enjoyed every minute! Definitely a spot I'll come back to!

Yes. That Drew Bledsoe. The former NFL player is a Bend resident and this newly opened tasting room in The Box Factory complex is satellite location of the Bledsoe owned Walla Walla located winery's tasting room there. THE DRILL: Friendly staff, hospitality associates in the tasting room's parlance, offer $20 tasting flights of 4 wines including Rose, Chardonnay, Cabernet and Syrah. (If you're lucky - as we were - they also pour a taste of another Syrah that is a club members only bottling.) Rose of Syrah, the lovely color of blush on a really ripe apricot, and both Syrahs were our favorites. Wines by glass ($12 - $15) and bottle ($32 - $64 and $75 for the club only Syrah) are available to enjoy in the tasting room, which has high bar and standard table seating and outside table seating with something for everyone. Cheese plates are available for purchase - but that was single drawback (see If I Was Queen below) - and you are welcome to bring in food from any of their food vendor Box Factory neighbors or Podski food pod vendors across the street. Tasting room guests are asked not to bring in outside beverages and for those that don't drink wine they offer other options, including alcohol free. THE VIBE: Design fits right in with the old Box Factory 'industrial-haute-junque' and this tasting room is the class of the local company for 'oomph' in that. A TV on the end of the tasting bar had on a football game. (No surprise, eh?) Roll up door opens onto outside patio seating in nice weather months and it is strung with lights and sun protection canopies too. My husband (for the record - a NY Giants fan) said one of his favorite things about the tasting room aside from knowledgeable staff was that it didn't hit you over the head with football memorabilia. THE HOSPITALITY: I'll give a 'NICE!' nod to tasting room host Mike for his 'all are welcome' approach with us. My husband and I moseyed in in mid afternoon while waiting for our room in the hotel across the street. We likely looked somewhere between bedraggled and homeless after an early morning departure on a six hour drive to Bend to visit a much loved injured family member and worse for the wear of earlier in the day work, he unshaven and me 'bad hair day' and rumpled. We are experienced oenophiles but we must have appeared more as old winos yet Mike treated us with the same friendly grace as the deep-pockets Bendites (we lived here ourselves for almost 20 years) who were signing on for the wine club. He was masterful in greeting everyone and welcoming them in to explain about the winery and wines. It was as much his warm hospitality as the wines that drew us back again to enjoy glasses one evening during our Bend stay and to recommend the Bledsoe tasting room to several local friends too. ACCESSIBILITY: The tasting room is a small step down from the exterior patio if entering via roll up door but main door alongside is ramped down to work for everyone. I have had MS since college years and I relied on four wheels to get into the tasting room on this visit and was happy to find it level inside with standard height seating. NEIGHBORS: For location 'marker' this is just a couple doors down from Foxtail Bakeshop and directly behind Avid Cider. PARKING: On street or in adjacent lot. PS on HOURS: Closed on Mondays, I think. IF I WAS QUEEN: Update 8/22...Returned for glasses of Rose and ordered the $14 for two cheese plate. Menu says crafted for them by a local cheese purveyor from Podski across the street. Woeful - maybe 2 oz of dried fruit-nut mix as from grocery store bin, a dozen'ish fresh grapes on a picked over stem and three kinds of cheese - all too close together in flavor and texture - cut in little pieces as is off the end sides of leftovers. (With respect, a seven year old could have plated this better.) We've had better in the complimentary cheese and cracker snacks - that we typically avoid - at some tasting rooms. To have this tagged at $14 is a "tilt". Bledsoe Family Winery has 'good taste' writ large in all they've done but this. Maybe we just hit them on a bad night serving the tail end of things. But if this is their cheese vendor, they need a new one. Were I Queen I'd wave my scepter and make it so.

Very good wines, that don't come cheap. The Syrah is my favorite, was able to try a sip of the member's Syrah and it was divine! Bought the Chardonnay as I was with white wine drinkers. Nice atmosphere, indoor and outdoor space. Tasting room has been open for only 3 weeks. Worth the visit.

Open and clean, easy parking, got a table right away! The Flying Cab is delicious! I might get myself a Christmas bottle.

Picked a spot, immediately left after seeing the $20 price tag a glass and no tasting. It's a pass for us.

Whether you're an old wino...umm well aged oenophile...like my husband and me who have been drinking wine for 40+ years or a complete newbie to the world of wine trying your first glass, go here! Viaggio opened in 2022, a handful of years after we moved from Bend after nearly 20 years as residents, and alas about that timing for us because if we still lived there we would be here weekly, at least, to sip. SET UP: Walls of wine throughout the shop with bottle prices marked on front which I assume one can open to drink there as well as buy to go. But we spied Viaggio on our way to dinner reservations next door (The Hook and Plow) so popped in after dinner. Alcohol lightweights that we find ourselves to be at this age and having had cocktails with dinner, we came in to Viaggio to peruse the by glass menus and bottles and stayed to enjoy pours from the 2oz Coravin menu. Both that menu and the by glass larger pour menus are great ones (I posted photos of both sides of the two menus) which is no surprise given the credentials of the owner, Benjamin Richardson, as both Somm and fine dining management experience including as wine manager at the 3 Michelin starred Meadowood restaurant in the Napa Valley. PAY FOR THE WINE BUT THE PRICELESS EDUCATION IS FREE: We bought a couple of bottles of an Italian varietal I enjoy that is hard to find and when I asked the server if there was any in the shop, I didn't see it in the tall walls of wine as I made a casual pass along them, she said she'd ask the owner. In a few moments Benjamin was tableside with two bottles from different wineries and also to share information about them and the varietal. We paid for both and since we were traveling they were very nice to hang on to them for us for a few days until we passed through Bend again. READ ABOUT THE JOURNEY: Viaggio means journey in English and I so recommend reading the owner's story in his Yelp page summary to learn the significance of that as we were able to do in speaking with him in the shop. If you're wanting to enjoy a glass or bottle of wine in a great space this is the place. If you want help in filling out a wine collection, or to make selections for meal pairing or learn about wine this is the place. If I could wave a magic wand for a perfect wine shop, this would be it. SEATING: Indoors in front and back of shop at tables and chairs and a long communal table at back of shop too. Looks like outside seating as well during daytime and / or nice weather but it was a rainy night when we visited so no outdoor service. EATS: A small selection of wine appropriate nosh are offered on the menu. On the right night, a glass and a plate or two of these would be linner or dinner for us. ACCESSIBILITY: Winos on wheels, as I was in using wheelchair for this visit, are welcome thanks to equal access of level in the door, all on one floor and standard height tables and chairs. Also one side of the communal table is a long bench but the other side are chairs that could be moved for access for wine drinker in a wheelchair to have access to join friends at the same table. You would be amazed how many places miss this important point of providing that kind of full inclusion seating in communal spaces. Good for Viaggio for getting it right. PARKING: The Hixon Apartment lot can be crazy full at night time. Note if you're picking up a wine order there are 30 minute limit parallel parking spots right across from the front of Viaggio. Accessible (AKA ADA) parking is at side of building and at the back side of Hook and Plow.

Excellent vibe. YELP Short Answer: Yes, visit and join if you're into your vino, Location: Lots of parking and easy to find. Buildout, Excellent but be aware of sun during certain times of year, they have shades but it can be bright and warm even when it is freezing outside, not an issue. Seating is very comfortable. Menu: So many options, best to ask questions or order by the glass. I believe this is more geared to purchase a special bottle to enjoy, but many by the glass options as well. Wine pours: generous but measured most of the time, everyone seems to be there for fun but it is a business so order often and tip generously ; ) Food options: Limited but changing but nice caviar options as they become available. Ask questions if you're curious about caviar options. Value: Excellent value for spending some relaxing time, a glass of wine solo or with a group, very well done. We will be back and will support them, hope you do the same.
