Advertised a vehicle at $14,994 through TrueCar. Dealer later increased the price, added undisclosed fees, and stated the advertised price only applies if you use their lender. Would not honor Navy Federal TrueCar pricing. Proceed with caution.

Bought a 2015 Corolla cash. The buying process itself was OK. The sales person I dealt with was nice, I think her name was Jaday(?) . Unfortunately I had to buy a new battery 2 days after my purchase because the one in the vehicle dying/critical level. As well as 2 tires because they were in bad shape and 3/32nds each. I understand cars are sold as-is but the $900 dealer fee and upcharge on the sale price itself should cover some basic refurbishment like a battery or tire(s). UPDATE: After owning this car a 2 months yet another issue came up. Engine light cane on and the diagnosis was replacing spark plugs and ignition coil the work totaled about $800 making the total of additional repairs after purchase over $1300. I was not counting on having to pay almost 15% of the vehicle purchase price into the car within a few months. Very disappointing.

So I went to Evo Motors to buy my retirement truck , I get there and it's Jonah first guy I talk to We test drove the truck, he was helpful with everything,Then I met Ben , I was nervous,So I gave him Capital One paper he states they have to do their own from Evo ,I understand so why make you hit your credit online if coming in you have to do it again, But Ben made process so Easy , The offer I got was very low ,which was crazy ,but I wanted my truck ,Ben was great from A to Z , But the night I drove my car home ,there was roaches in the car ,I get up next morning to do a thorough inspection, and the guy whom cleaned car put the sticky paper on top of roach bed in truck , I ended up using a fogger to hopefully clear the rest ..I'm feeling slighted all around because that could've been vacuumed out ,I wasn't rushing him ..

This place has good used vehicles at good no haggle prices. That's where the good ends. The customer experience is horrid. Prepare to spend hour after hour. Whatever you do, dont go on Saturday because it's a total zoo of people looking to save a few bucks and not deal with traditional dealers. You must do your research and know what you want because you won't get any hand holding here. They have a staff of mostly young kids fetching vehicles for test drives etc. Nobody really knows anything about cars, so don't ask. They buy all their stuff at auctions and a lot of it is former rentals and leases. Not too many one owner vehicles on the lot. They only carry the best sellers and that means mostly Japanese and Korean with a scattering of domestic. I came to buy on a weekday and only took one test drive. Even so, i spent 4 hours there in terrible heat. The lobby is cramped and uncomfortable. They only take cash or cashier's check so you need to come prepared. That means you probably need to visit twice to check things out and return with your check. You can also finance there which i suppose they prefer because they make more money. You wont need to fend off last minute upselling for warranty etc. They actually did come up with a possibly false issue involving a supposed toll charge which prevent ed my plate transfer. Magically, if I just paid $300, they could issue a new plate and keep the sale on track. I think I got jacked on that one, so beware. But you do need a large chunk of time in order to make this place serve your needs. It's pretty unpleasant but other places are much worse.

The car salesman that helped us out was Andre and he is a nice and knowledgable guy. He was patient with the other cars we wanted to see and answered our questions when he had the answer. If he didn't which happened from time to time he didn't make stuff up but checked the internet or asked other salesmen. We didn't end up buying last August, but returned this past weekend. We took a look at maybe 10 cars and we had it down to a beautiful 2018 Infiniti QX30 and a nice 2017 Outback Impreza. Both vehicles came at a reasonable cost and I felt we would have gotten a deal buying either one. We ended up choosing the Outback. We decided to finance through Car Heroes because on certain vehicles this gets you a reduced price of around a grand. Both my wife and I have excellent credit so we figured we would get a finance rate of 5%. Well, unfortunately we were pretty far in when we found out our rate was 6.9% for two co-owners with excellent credit. This was probably the most negative aspect of the car dealing experience for us here. Of course we could have skirted around the issue if we had come pre-qualified through one of our banks. The cost of the vehicle would have been an extra grand though. There are trade-offs. Through all of the finance applications and signatures we were helped by Brian who is a nice guy. We were probably with him for and hour and half to two hours. He didn't rush us through any of the process and we felt free to back out or say no on any occasion. The cars sold here are all ex car rental vehicles so they come with more miles than usual for their age and a bit more wear and tear. People don't treat rentals with care or respect, because its not theirs after all. However, you are free to inspect and drive all the vehicles here and you may save just enough that it ends up being worth it for you. I thought our Outback was in great condition and three days in and it is running great. Only time will tell if there is an issue we don't know about, but I think we got a nice car. This business is expanding so wait times can get up there. We went on a Saturday and with all the looking, driving, and signing we did we spend about 4.5 hours there, but during previous visits it was pretty empty. During the week and work hours is a great time to come. As they increase in size and hire additional employees this place should improve. This dealership may not be for everyone, but I like the transparency of their fees, they get nice cars in all the time, the staff is nice, and the prices are very competitive even with the negatives.

Don't waste your time, stay away from this dealer.

We live in the Clearwater area and my son knew he wanted to shop around for a Ford Mustang. After visiting many local dealerships, he did a search online which led us to take the trek to check out Trusted Motors in Tampa. When we arrived on the lot there were many very nice looking luxury vehicles for sale. He spotted the Mustang right away and took it for a test drive. We were able to take it to a mechanic for a complete inspection, and it checked out in great condition. It was a pleasure working with our salesperson, Raul. He made the whole car buying process very quick and simple. My son is very happy with his purchase, and we will definitely look at Trusted Motors for all our future car purchases.

I have been selling, buying, and working on cars for around 30 years so I know a little something about them. Now for the car in question. My wife and I drove there yesterday to look at a 2009 Audi A5. In the add online it looked really nice. And when we got there it was as well (on the outside visually). At least at first. However. We kept finding things wrong with it and those added up fast in repair bills. Front passenger headlight out and potentially needed a whole new ballast, the headliner curtain for the sunroof was missing, the sunroof had been left open at one point and the headliner got water damaged, and the material was stained and coming off the ceiling, and the brake pads and rotors needed to be replaced, the rear armrest didn't open (come down). And only 1 key fob. Even though the car drove nice I didn't think it was anywhere near worth the asking price. The lady that helped us started out nice, but when I tried to bring everything wrong with it up to her she kept trying to avoid the issues. The ONLY thing the owner was willing to help us out on is taking off $250 from the price for us to be able to go to Audi and buy a second key fob. This car was an Audi Dealership wholesale car. When I kept explaining to the sales lady how once a trade in comes in to the Audi dealership (or any major dealership) if that car needs too much work or is too expensive for the dealership to take on they wholesale the cars out to dealerships like this place. This was one of those cars. But the sales lady kept telling me "Oh. Well it's an Audi and since it's an Audi it was well taken care of. SO. I asked for a copy of the Car Fax to look at the history she said I would have to buy the car first. WHAT???? Why would we buy a car and not know the history before making a decision right? Well she said we could pay for it and they are a small time dealership and it's an extra expense for the dealership. And she kept trying to talk over me and tell me the car is worth the money. She showed me the JD Powers Price compared to what they are which means nothing to me since I do this all day long and know how the values vary from most market value sites. But with about $800-2,000 minimum in repairs that needed to be done (depending where I can get it all fixed, and if that's all that needs to be done) the car was probably going to be above the higher JD Powers price so not worth it. We decided to think about it but ultimately decided I don't know if I can trust this place with the way the SALES LADY kept trying to change the subject instead of listen to me as a customer and hide the car history with no car fax (and she kept getting flustered since I actually knew what the heck I was talking about) , etc we found the same car at another dealership and are going there today to buy it. Better condition with a Car Fax, no issues, and 2 key fobs. And they are willing to work with us on any issues I find on the car. Moral of this review. Do the homework first, take your time looking at it and make sure everything works, and at places like this make sure you take the car to a trusted mechanic to have it inspected before jumping in to buying it. $150-200 inspection could probably save you $thousands in expensive repairs by not having it checked out. I would for sure say go to a reputable large nationwide dealership and pay a little more for a car fully inspected (with an inspection report from the dealership) and have a piece of mind.

While my wife and I were considering purchasing a Nissan, (and we were not in the market right at that moment), one salesman quickly became two, and the two then became THREE, all ganging up on me, all acting like they were my new best friends, saying "We really would like to see you in a new car.," flattering me and trying to charm me into giving them a yes, all while they were trying to pit me against my wife. A TOTAL TURNOFF. I don't need three people trying to convince me to make a purchase, especially threeA desperate sales people. (I say this from he point of view of having been in sales myself, so I knew their game.) But the service department was even worse. On two separate occasions, they attempted to bully her into getting additional, very expensive service that her car did not need. She was very suspicious because they were very pushy about it, so she took her care for a second opinion at Complete Automotive, a company that has a superior rating with Yelp and will not offer a service that a car does not need. They agreed that Maus was playing games with her. On another occasion, my wife wanted one thing done for service that only an authorized dealership would be able to do. I don't know exactly what was involved in it, but while doing their work, they came up with a list of numerous additional items that they said needed to be serviced, totalling around $6000. When she refused, the woman working with her became snide and pushy, and gave he an entire list of all that needed to be done, then insisted that my wife sign each item stating that she was refusing the service, WORSE, the woman told her that they would not return my wife's keys until she signed the papers. YOU CAN'T MAKE THIS STUFF UP! The commercials make the owner of this dealership look like the nice guy next door, but it all starts at the top. We noticed this type of behavior at BOTH of their stores, one in Brooksville the other in Pasco County. If he has true integrity (which I doubt), he would fire EVERYONE at his stores, from sales managers, to sales, to service managers and service workers and start from scratch. It would be great business decision and good for PR, but when has this dealership ever had integrity? STAY AWAY FROM MAUS!
