The haunted hay ride was actually super fun and surprised us by having 2 dance number scenes. The weather was divine and it was so nice to roll through all of the fun scenes they have set up with the breeze going. Some of the scenes felt like we went through them too quickly to get to see everything, but others you could really see all of the detail they put into it. The slaughter barn was very quick to get through- even when haunted houses aren't scary I like when they are big and you get to walk around in the spooky rooms they have set up. The haunted hay ride was the best part of the night by far. One thing none of us liked was that one of the characters that wander around to entertain guests who waiting in line, buying concessions, etc kept very quickly circling around everyone while pulling a wagon that had a duck caged in it. It couldn't even sit or get comfortable because it was constantly bracing for turns and bumps. A fake duck glued to the cage or no duck at all would have sufficed. Not sure why live animals need to be toted around as props. We had purchased our tickets online during pre-sale, so it was a 2-for-1 deal. We definitely wouldn't come back if we had to pay full price, but I do think my brother with autism would like this, so we may bring him here next year.

While in line there were about 4 characters that would walk through scaring people which kept it interesting while waiting. The actors did really well throughout. After an hour wait we got in the in hayride which lasted about 15-20 min. They take you out far away so you don't see or hear anything. They have about 4 of these tractors so the line moves fast. They had some similar aspects from other hayrides and some unique scenes I had never seen before. People were flying around on ziplines which was really cool. Highly recommend. Didn't do the slaughter barn because it honestly didn't look that appealing. The line was way longer for the hayride and $2 more. I could tell the attraction was the hayride here. They charge $2 if you use card so I suggest paying in cash. They have areas with bonfires to enjoy. They have a consession stand with snacks and merch to purchase. Really nice huge farm. Great haunt!

(circa 1958)…read more Frankenstein's Castle might've been novel in its time, but the charm has faded and what we're left with are dark, musty hallways and poorly-timed scares. While I can't say that it's fallen into a complete state of disrepair, Frankie's Place is in dire need of an updating. But maybe Indiana Beach is intentionally NOT updating it for the sake of nostalgia. Regardless, entry isn't included with park admission, so you'll have to shell out $3.50/person. So is it worth it? Nope. Many of the animatronic "pop-out" scares were mistimed or inoperable, and most of the long dark hallways were devoid of anything spooky at all. In fact, a great deal of the wallspace was empty, and on more than one occasion I had to walk with my arms outstretched to find my way around in the pitch blackness. But there were several 'fun house' elements that I enjoyed, like moving floors, a rickety bridge, a room full of misleading (dead-end) doors, and a balcony that suddenly tilts forward when you stand on it. THAT was cool and a very original concept. Perhaps back in the heyday of Indiana Beach this haunted(fun)house garnered a lot more accolades and attention, but in 2014 it's kinda falling apart at the seams.

There were lots of times when you couldn't see anything or when it was totally strobing lights. There were also live actors during this time who would get very close to you and speak in your ear. The experience was fun. However, when we reached the end and walked outside we were followed by one of the actors who basically verbally assaulted us and cussed us out because he felt like one of us punched him in the face. The manager looked on and didn't stop the actor. This was really unprofessional. We moved to the parking lot to chat as a group, shortly after two of their staff came to our car and asked us in a pretty angry way to leave the facility. What was a great experience and memory which was definitely ruined by their poor handling of this situation. I won't be recommending this place to others.

There's a little drink stop with beebs and photo ops. They make you wait before starting to make sure there is ample space between groups. I was so surprised with how well done each haunted house was. All of the actors were scary and good at what they do, but if they saw a little kid that was really scared they wouldn't try to scare them, very respectful! My favorite was the haunted corn maze, I was screaming, laughing and running, very well done. They also have food and drinks for sale, but I didn't try any of the food because it wasn't very "gluten free friendly", but it looked really good. There's also an add on ($8) where you can go through a special haunted house with a hood over your head and apparently you get shocked, dirty, wet and smell different things. Talk about a scary sensory experience, not sure if that's my thing, but a cool attraction. Highly recommend checking this place out for your next fun filled night.

As a parent of teens, it's honestly hard to find family activities anymore that everyone genuinely gets excited about, but all of my kids had such a great time and are already talking about going back this year. We just saw a TikTok post that they are already getting ready for the new season, which immediately had me Googling to see when tickets go on sale because we already want to go opening weekend. And I love that they give you the option of being touch or not. And ways to identify each person.the check in was easy, the service was top tier! If I want to be scared, I'll walk down east 42nd at night. Indy scream is more fun than scary. Indy Scream has 5 haunting experiences, food, a few games, classic scary characters, and alcohol. All good, but the whole experience is pretty expensive for a family. Lines are long, unless you buy the fast pass ticket which costs more. I would not have had a lot of fun if I didn't have the fast pass. Parking has a fee. Beers are expensive, but large. If you don't mind long lines or if you don't mind ponying up some cash for a different experience then I recommend a night out at Indy Scream park.
