It wasn't until he got home that we realized that a fade wasn't given. Instead, the hair was buzzed very short, up high on the back and sides. There was no fading at all. He was embarrassed to be seen with this cut because it wasn't what he'd asked for, and his friends at school joked and teased him about how bad it looked. His hair is curly on top, and the back part of his perm was cut unevenly. I had to take him to another stylist to even it out and try to salvage the style. Honestly, not much could be done by the second stylist because too much hair was buzzed in the back and sides. Essentially, his hair was buzzed high up in the back and sides. It looks like a military buzz cut, high up in the back and sides, as you would receive in boot camp. With his heavy curls on top, it looks like an uneven bowl cut on top. I'm very disappointed and will never return to or recommend this establishment to anyone. **** I noticed the owner tried to say that this was a Bot post. Sadly, they are trying to dismiss this post as being generated instead of being a genuine post. It was completely constructed in a very unprofessional manner. My 14-year-old grandson, who went to the hair salon alone because my husband just passed away, did not realize how horrible the haircut actually was until he arrived home. Upon his arrival home, I was able to see and show him with a mirror how horrible the haircut was. I then had to make an appointment to pay another stylist at another salon to fix the disaster that the hairstylist at Black Lace Hair Salon created. The hairstylist that we took him to, in order to fix the style and correct the mess that was made, stated that this was one of the top five worst haircuts that they had ever seen. The owner of Black Lace Hair Salon can try to dismiss this post and try to make it out as being a Scam post or a Bot post all that they would like. However, this is a genuine post. All together, when you add up what I paid for the first haircut and then what I paid to have the other stylist to do the best they could to correct the mistakes made, the entire ordeal ended up costing me $80. The haircut he received at this salon negatively affected my grandson's self-esteem, it was a completely unacceptable salon experience. The mature thing would be to accept responsibility for their mistake and move forward responsibly. However, it seems as though they are more concerned with trying to dismiss this legitimate Review and sweep it under the rug. *** (To clarify, in case some were wondering, the Hair Salon knew ahead of time that I was sending my grandson there by himself. I called them to notify them of this, and was told that this was completely fine.) As you all can imagine, this led to her to start losing her hair. It was a very emotionally difficult moment for her. I called Impressions and spoke with Tammy who usually does my moms hair. She was more than happy to cut and shave the remainder of my moms hair. She got a room in the back so she can have privacy and she gave my mom a lot of moral support. I remember my mom coming home actually smiling after this. She told me that Tammy was very kind to her and that at one point Tammy brought out a very blonde wig and made her laugh... she couldn't explain the joke all that well to me but what matters is that she got my mom out of a serious funk during her cancer treatment. Impressions Is not just a great place to do your hair, but is filled with incredibly wonderful people. Should have done this review sooner, but with everything going on with her cancer treatment didn't have time until now.

I made another appointment and came in to give her the chance to fix it. Cady messed it up even MORE. I pointed it out to her again and the owner aggressively came over and told me that was just the, "technique." Another hairstylist that works there was coming in and I told her I'd pay her double to fix this today. She agreed and I made ANOTHER appointment. Around three hours later I drove all the way back (it's a 30 minute drive for me) and was then told by the owner I wasn't allowed in. I paid $115 and the owner had the audacity to hand me $80 and act like all was fair now. My hair is still messed up + wasted my off day and $150. If you like horrible customer service and razor blade appearance highlights: this is the place for you. If I could rate this place ZERO STARS I would.
