We decided to make this our first stop while in Tucson before the show at the convention center. Be aware, there are flies and sadly only some tables were provided the fans to deter flies though they had more behind the bar I could see. Left us battling to swat while we tried to enjoy our food. Definitely put a damper on our experience, so we decided to do room service that evening versus dining in the Lounge. Bar Lounge Dining (Lunch): - Aperol Spritz: Way too much Aperol, which led to this being quite bitter. Bummed as they didn't have blue cheese stuffed olives for a martini, so I went with this that wasn't that great. - Gin & Tonic: My boyfriend said his drink was a little watery and wouldn't order again. - Carne Asada Tacos: I had high hopes for carne asada made from a grill and taqueria, but this disappointed. Both bland and fairly tough to chew. We ordered with no onion & cilantro, but it was served with. This left me trying to pick it out, and made for a messy dish to share with my boyfriend. Room Service (Dinner): - Chimichanga - pollo rojo: My boyfriend said this was really good, very filling, and would order again as he enjoyed the crispy shell & flavor of the dish. - El Mez Burger: I had wanted the shrimp ceviche, but apparently the QR code in the room has an old menu. Left to pick something on the spot, and settled on this. One bite and there was an ingredient very off putting for me - the apple-bacon jam. The apples tasted pickled or something as the vinegar taste didn't complement the burger. I ended up scrapping off, and still find puzzling to include with roasted poblano and queso blend. A total skip in my opinion and a shame for $23. Overall, I think I'd just deal with getting in my vehicle to dine elsewhere as though convenient in the hotel lobby or room service, it is not very good especially at the price point.

I almost didn't even recognize the place. It still has a very down-to-earth local eclectic feel, well also giving modern new and fun. This is the kind of place that makes you proud of Tucson and want to bring your out-of-town visitors! I was in love with the outdoor movie screen setting they now have as well. I can't wait to partake in that. I also enjoyed the snacks that are provided. They have some vegan treats as well which is nice to know for those with different food needs... and they also looks yummy too! This time around I just got a lemon cookie, which was everything I needed it to be. I also love that the theater houses local film festivals, and what not. I know that they also show films for the culture , yet somehow they're never playing when I look up Showtimes here. I really wish they would do this more often. Definitely check out the loft if you haven't been here, or even if you have. I will definitely throw the theater out more when looking for movies with friends!

Stayed one night to see a show at the theater next door, and the 5 minute walk was perfect!…read more Check-in was easy, and I really appreciated the fresh cookies upon arrival. However, I was disappointed to find there was a $23 parking fee - especially since the lot was very tight and also being used for two nearby events. That made parking a bit frustrating. We had dinner at the hotel lounge before the show. My friend and I split the fajitas (ordered steak but received chicken). For $30, they were just okay and definitely overpriced. On the bright side, the service was great, and the prickly pear margaritas were strong and delicious! Our room was very comfortable - plenty of pillows and blankets, convenient plug-ins, and even a night-light in the bathroom. A few small issues: the vanity mirror lights didn't work, and the body wash dispenser in the shower was empty. Otherwise, it was a very nice, clean, and cozy room. Breakfast the next morning at the hotel restaurant was excellent! Kim was a fantastic server, and the traditional breakfast for $17 (2 eggs, 2 pieces of toast, so many crispy fried potatoes, and 3 strips of bacon) was high quality and served as a generous portion - I couldn't even finish half! Overall, a pleasant stay with a few minor hiccups.

I've been taking some time to decide if this hotel was more of a two-star or three. I've decided to…read morego with two. Let me make my case. A first glance this hotel looks so modern and new that I would be giving it five stars. Plus, the employees I interacted were so nice and helpful. I get into my room, everything looks fine. Then I get ready to take a shower and I notice a soaking wet wash rag (pictured with my review) sitting on the shower nob. That definitely made me question if the shower was cleaned. Then I saw long strands of black hair and I was pretty sure it wasn't. I probably should have asked to switch rooms but I was exhausted and feeling under the weather and didn't feel like dealing with it. Something else I noticed was that this hotel uses specialized sensors to detect vaping in rooms. I think this is great and shows care for their staff. However, I read a review where a woman claimed that blowdrying her hair led to a false positive result for vaping and she was charged $500. This made me paranoid because since I was sick, I decided it was best to not fall asleep With damp hair, so I hesitantly used the hotel provided dryer. Lastly, having something this high tech would lead me to believe that they are tech forward but they are not. There was no available outlet by my beds. The charging ports were all antiquated USB-A, which I haven't used in years. You can at least provide a normal outlet if you're not going to provide USB-C ports.
