The store is small but has a vast variety of balloons, party decor, utensils, holiday decorations & more. A young lady name Ena assisted me and she was super sweet & pleasant. I walked through the store while she blowed up my balloon and I ended up adding a few more balloons along with some decor for the table & cake. The Party Place will now be my go-to spot for balloons & more. They are affordable, the store front is clean, there's no long wait and service by Ena was great. Finally at 2:45 almost 2 hours into the event someone answered and said they they were not sure that they were having technical difficulties and they didn't have my address. They would call me back again and did not. At no time did anyone offer a refund. This place is a scam. And I'm reporting them to the Maryland Attorney General and taking them to small claims courts for triple damages. I had 25 children at my house and no bounce house. It was devastating. No explanation, no apology, no offer of fully refunding my money. Nothing. I called the next day to give them the option to settle this without going to small claims court. They denied it and claimed that the truck was broke down, which was never explained and again made no offer or resolution. I don't know how they have so many five star reviews it has to be bots. * BE ADVISED THIS BUSINESS IS NOT IN GOOD STANDING WITH MD SDAT as of 5/13/2025 * Mr. Ali - using CHAT GPT to respond to my review with lies is again more of the assertion that your company is misleading and deceptive. *Force majure does not exist in this instance when you failed to notify the customer repeatedly and your contract only allows for a 30 minute adjustment. Therefore your operations should have accounted for this circumstance and had a resolution to me by 1:30pm. You are lying about the facts and how this unfolded. You in NO way tried to contact me until the day after (INCLUDING YOUR STAFF). We had four adults calling your company. You only called me on May 11th after my review posted to another site. Your proposed resolution was not fair and all trust is eroded. I would not have a company that failed to come to my house do a future event at my house involving children. You yourself said you were firing your employee for their gross neglect of simply explaining what was going on. You failed to meet any metric of your contract. I will strongly advise you against threatening legal action using CHAT GPT. The facts do not support you and this entire incident has been filed with the Maryland Attorney Generals office. From the very beginning, Shann was incredibly patient, responsive, and generous with her time. She answered all of my questions promptly and walked me through the different package options, helping me choose the one that best fit our event. Before the party, she even visited the venue in person to plan everything out, which gave us a lot of confidence that everything would run smoothly. On the day of the event, Shann and her team were fantastic. They worked through several thunderstorms, going in and out of the rain without missing a beat. The decorations turned out beautifully, and our guests loved them. The photo booth was definitely one of the biggest attractions of the night! At the end of the event, the team also arrived early to handle the cleanup, which saved us a tremendous amount of time and effort. Shann worked with our budget and gave us a great deal. We had initially estimated around 200 guests, but luckily Shann's experience really showed. After visiting the restaurant and following up on the guest count, she prepared for the venue's full capacity instead. We ended up with a full house, and without her foresight and the hard work of her team, the party wouldn't have been nearly as fun, seamless, or memorable. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend J Double You Events!
