If there are any negative reviews, it's because everyone calls at once when the snow comes, and they realize something is broken, and have no patience - they can't be everywhere at once! And they don't know what part they need to fix your problem, until they see what the problem is, and which part is broken. On Spot knows what they are doing. Fair pricing, great service, and my snow blower has gone from being dead to being performing "almost like new" through the 20, 40, and 50 centimetres dumping of snow storm we've received in Toronto this season.. They are quick, thorough, and you get to use your snow blower to help neighbours and sidewalks in a time of need! I will also use them again to "pre-service" my lawn mower and provide planned maintenance of my snow blower for next season (once they have down time.) Thank you On Spot. Five stars. Cheers.

For anyone looking for someone to service or make repairs on your snowblower, do NOT, I repeat do…read moreNOT hire these people. I reached out inquiring about having someone come look at my snowblower, as after last season the wheels stopped engaging when pulling the trigger. With investigating throughout the internet I knew that it had to be something like a damaged/broken belt that needed to be replaced. They set a date for someone to come look at it, with a price that was set which you can see on their website. Having no issues with this I accepted the date for them to come and there was no issues. Upon arrival they found that the belt was broken and needed to be replaced. They didn't have this belt in stock, so they needed to order it, which is no worries at all, the gentleman told me it should be in by the following week and they can come back out. 190+tax for them to come out and if they can fix it, no extra cost is applied. Considering the belt needed to be replaced, as stated on their website it says 99.00 INCLUDING belt. So before the gentleman left the first time I asked him how much this would be total and he said it'll be about 300+tax in which I replied okay sounds good. After doing the math it made sense no problem at all. After a few days went by I called in and asked if the belt was delivered/when can I expect this to be repaired now. I was told it was in and they would let me know 48 hours in advance when they would be coming to do the work. I also asked once again what the final price would be, as he only gave me an estimate when at my house. As per the site, I communicated with him that it is $190+tax for him to come out, which I already knew, then now an additional $99.00 for the belt replacement. His response was yes, you will be looking at $390+tax, to which I responded "hmm okay" as I didn't want to fight with him on the phone and rather just talk to him in person when he came again. A week later I get a call from the woman who sets the appointments. She said they would be coming the next day between 2-6pm. I asked her now what the final price would be as I knew the price he gave me made no sense, especially after the first meeting at my house. She responded saying she would need to check and she would call me back. I received no call back, and got a call the following afternoon from him saying he would be at my house in 5 minutes have everything ready. Once he completed the work, the price he had us pay was $440. This was ludicrous and made no sense. We were very calm in asking questions to this gentleman about the pricing and showed him his own website. He wanted nothing to do with this conversation, said we are paying for his 25+ years experience and we wouldn't be able to do this ourselves. So unfortunately he stood in our driveway until we paid. I was at work and he was talking to my wife, I overheard on the ring camera and he was being aggressive In the way he was talking. So I called him and he wanted nothing to do with having a conversation with Me. told me he has better things to do with his time and hung up. Followed that with a text telling me to f*** off. Just wanted to make sure no one else goes through this absolutely abysmal unprofessionalism that took place with this company. No resolutions were made, he told me not to make contact with him anymore. This was service done in Cambridge, ON

One watched while the other worked. Left their truck running the whole time they were here because "it's hot out!" Starter now works but they didn't fix anything else so we still can't use it. Did as little work as possible to get their time in and claim their money. We paid way too much for this job. $390 + tx before they even show up then $265 + tx for less than 1 hr work. What a snow job! Too bad a zero rating is not an option.

I told him I had the parts, and if it would be possible to pass by within an hour from them to quickly replace if they are available. He said something along the lines of "using other people's parts isn't in our policy (I wonder why else other than to overcharge customers on parts and/or liability reasons) but we'll make an exemption, we'll see what we can do". Took the truck in, and Larry called me back saying I needed to order more parts and come back another day. I said ok no problem. I ordered and picked up the parts a couple of days later. Today I called again, saying the same thing, "if you have time can I tell my driver to pass by soon" he said "sure come at 9:00". My driver arrives in the truck, the do the job as requested (took 1 hour, started at 9 and finished at 10), and I received the invoice, $230.88. They charge me for 1.3 hours, when he sent me the invoice BEFORE 1.3 hours had even occurred. I brushed it off, then found a $9 environmental charge as well. Just to replace two hinges. I brushed it off and my driver messaged me he's waiting for the keys, and that they told him they will give him the keys after I pay the invoice. Now, I had previously done work with Larry a month or two ago, where I paid the invoice a couple days after receiving the invoice, so this caught me by suprise, he seemed like a very nice guy. I called Larry, and asked him nicely to give the keys to my driver, he said I will not until I pay. Unfortunately at the moment, I had $100 available, with around $3000 waiting on hold in my bank account, I told him the situation and he hit me with "it's our policy". After I heard this, I told him he was being unreasonable, and he proceeded to raise his voice and yell at me over the phone. I then told him I can pay half ($100) right now, and the rest the next day, when my cheque cleared. I even offered to send him proof. He refused, and said I would have to wait until then to pickup the truck. I couldn't wait, as the truck has a daily route at 11:30 everyday, and it was around 10:30. I called him a hypocrite (in a firm conversational tone), citing his past work, and mentioned how I payed a previous invoice a day or two later, with no hitch at all. He raised his voice even more, was surprised that I called him a hypocrite, and hung up. I then had to ask my dad to lend me $130, just so Larry can release the keys. I payed the invoice, called him and said I payed it, and am not hanging up until you give the keys to my driver. He confirmed I payed, but told me to "cut the shit" or something along those lines, and hung up. All in all, if he mentions "policy" to you, he's BSing. You should never raise your voice to a customer when they are being respectful, you should never add charges or random "policies" to a customer because you are upset you didn't get to charge them for parts, and you should be reasonable to an honest respectful customer when that customer has been nothing but respectful to you. Don't trust Larry, I hope he learns from this situation. He lost out on %100 of my trucks maintenance needs plus any other mechanic need I had. Even my driver knew Larry was being ridiculous. My apologies for the soap opera review, I like to include all context for a clear picture for anyone reading this. Have a great day
