I told her to take it to my buddy Danny at Pro Transmissions & Automotive who I've known for half of my life for a second opinion. Danny did what Danny does: he properly diagnosed the problem and determined that the van did not need an entirely new engine. His team replaced the necessary gaskets, completed the head-gasket and timing job, and got my sister back on the road for about half of what the other shop had quoted. Honest diagnosis, quality work, and a huge amount of money saved. If you're facing an expensive repair, take your vehicle to Danny before giving up on it. I cannot recommend this shop enough, a second opinion from the right shop can make all the difference! I ended up standing at the service counter for ten minutes (no other customers were waiting) as one employee talked on the phone and another went in and out.
