I'm finally back. I was coming consistently a few years ago but then got busy with life and stopped coming but I'm back now. I usually get a 10-pass from them and even still had a few classes left from two years ago that didn't expire. I've enjoyed all the instructors I've had and everyone is very kind and welcoming. I usually go to the noon classes that are "gentle flow" since I enjoy flow classes and they are a good entry level without being too slow. The "essential vinyasa" classes are a more challenging and I'll work myself up to those again. The pricing is great. They offer 10% off for teachers, elders, students, and military/veterans. 30% off for OHP and SNAP. The unlimited monthly pass can also be a good deal if you know you'll go more than ten times in a month. Signing up for classes through their website is also easy. It's also nice to know who the instructor will be (if there is a sub) so you can plan which classes you want to do. I'm glad this place has been around for so long. It is a simple and nice place to come and take care of yourself. read more

Everyday People Yoga - The feeling you get when you have a great Yoga practice - Yoga Near Me - Eugene, Oregon

The representative for EPY - Everyday People Yoga - called me back promptly after I left a message about wanting to know more about their Yoga studio. I related my past and present experiences with Pilates for two and a half years. But, my dietitian has encouraged me to try Yoga for Bentley stretching and improving balance. I'm 69 - doing three to five days a week aqua-aerobics for three years, walking two x a week for six months with a friend. She suggested Gentle Flow start at noon in their studio on 12th and try for THREE WEEKS the starter package with unlimited sessions for $45. I'm going this Friday 1/2 to meet an instructor early before the noon class to tell her my exercise and medical history for areas to be careful! read more

I really liked this yoga studio. The vibes were great. I went to a vinyasa flow class with Karen which was the perfect amount of chill and relaxed mixed with some intensity. They had a really good class selection/schedule. The studio itself is super cute and open. I like how the mats are set up in a circle. I got my first class free which is a nice thing they do. I know they also have a pass for 30$ where you can go to unlimited classes the whole week. I love that they have an affordable option to get a good amount of yoga in! Great studio will definitely add to my rotation. Also there's a super cute cat that waits outside which is adorable. read more

Everyday People Yoga - Yoga Near Me - Eugene, Oregon

After three months of yoga practices at Everyday People Yoga in Eugene, this magical place has come to mean so much to me. I've had multiple instructors in multiple yoga disciplines, and each one has been a special experience. Two favorites are Jordan's Kundalini sessions, and Amelia's Hatha yoga. If you are on the fence about trying yoga for the first time, or dropping back into studio practice, I highly recommend EPY! read more

Still struggling to get in. Phones go unanswered, website doesn't load, and when I walked in I couldn't find anyone to talk to. Looks pretty nice though... read more

Loving studio with excellent teachers. Reasonable rates and very responsive when you have questions. Highly recommend!

I absolutely love the way I feel after taking Angela Davis's Restorative Yoga class! I highly recommend it.

I enjoy the peaceful feeling walking into the Yoga studio, I enjoyed the gentle Vinyasa flow class. They have events here I so enjoyed Hanuman Project Kirtan last year. This weekend August 24th 2019, Hanuman is back I signed up knowing my heart will bloom deeper into LOVE. read more

An amazing space for healing. Staff are dedicated, compassionate, and excellent at their craft. It is not the workout style yoga I was used to, rather the focus was more on wellness and mediation. I think that is the original intent of yoga, to promote the union of mind and body, true to its roots. Warm and cozy atmosphere. Excellent teachers. Highly recommend trying a free session--first session is free for Lane County residents. read more

I started Yoga here several months ago at age 68. Boy do I feel better. So surprised. I'm very comfortable with the space, the teachers, the times, the different options. I just keep doing Gentle Yoga and my body loves it! read more

I lived in Eugene from 2016-2019 and was a regular student at Everyday People Yoga - the studio is a wonderful, serene space with talented and dedicated teachers, offering a variety of class styles in an accepting and encouraging atmosphere. read more

I came to Everyday People Yoga with no yoga experience whatsoever. I'm a fat girl and I developed some back pain and muscle tightness and friends were recommending yoga to me to stretch out and feel better. Honestly, I was really worried as a fat, out of shape girl that hates exercise that I'd hate this place or feel unwelcome. A friend bought me a bunch of classes and told me this place rocked. So...I waited like 3 months and then went. Oh goodness gracious me. I walked in feeling like I was in some fancypants place that I didn't deserve. Super calm little entry with comfy chairs to sit and get ready for what you're about to do, free stickers (!!!), changing room, cubbies, restrooms. I got in really early and chatted with the teacher and got familiar with the space. They've got a great, huge space with wooden floors that is so minimalist and perfect. I set my mat up way too close to the wall - pro tip for newbies - have about 4 feet between you and the wall. If you're worried about valuables they allow you to bring stuff in the studio, I kept mine at the back wall. They have mats you can borrow, as well as blocks, straps, and fat heavy pillows. Once I saw the space and the other students started coming in, I felt like I belonged. People of all shapes and sizes, people of all abilities...Everyday People. Everyone was very respectful of each other and I felt totally ready to learn and participate. I felt very welcome and appreciated. I did a restorative class, and everything was presented in such a way that I understood and felt the stretch in every pose. Wasn't too fast for me, and our teacher told us several ways to do every pose for every level of skill. She was also available to help when we got confused. They've got music that matches the mood of the class and the lights are on a dimmer to really help you zone out too. Towards the end, we did a very chill corpse pose, and were offered lavender scented eye pillows and a complimentary aromatherapy treatment. I got frankincense smooshed into my forehead and temples. I didn't think about it, I'm somewhat scent-sensitive and it gave me an instant migraine, but it was a seriously nice gesture. I left feeling like I'd just learned the meaning of life. Super chilled out, and all stretched out. I walked 3 miles home in the chill evening air with no pain for the first time in months. I am a fan and am inviting all my friends. read more

This studio is the perfect place to practice yoga. Beautiful wood floors, natural light from skylights in the tall ceilings lending a sense of spaciousness, always clean and always the right temperature, never drafty or stuffy. I appreciate the lack of a "boutique" and being able to pay in cash, by donation no less- there's no commercial feel as with other studios. The morning meditations with Phoenix are great, and I always enjoy Matt's relaxing Zen yoga class. Long live EPY! read more

Everyday People Yoga is exactly that, for everyday people. It is nestled on a quiet, calm street and the yoga studio is spacious with high ceilings. I really like how there are philodendrons along the walls. The staff does an excellent job of maintaining a serene, focused, loving environment. This has become my refuge; I know that when I leave a class here I will be refreshed and ready to continue with my day. read more

This is not yoga, this is nonsense. If you have ever done yoga or you are reasonably physically fit and have a busy schedule and don't have time to spend half of the class deep breathing in corpse pose, go elsewhere. Truly terrible and disappointing. Comically so at times. "Self massage" then "deep breathe for 5 min" then "stand there in silence for 5 min in the middle of class". What? Garbage. read more

Just had a great class at Everyday Yoga. Needed a little love in my step and certainly stained that. Teacher was very thorough and worked with each student. You could tell he really cared. Thanks and I'll be back! read more

This is such a beautiful, tranquil studio and the instructors are well educated and in tune with students' needs.

I have been loving going to classes here, I have only gone to the gentle, restorative classes so far, mon-thurs 7pm, I like the schedule of that. I like the rooms rectangular orientation with the teacher at one end of the long side of the room, it's easy to center and focus there due to this and the spiritual centeredness of the teachers. An interesting aspect of my experience there so far is that the teachers are young yet carry an essence of the Masters in the pictures hung up on the wall, not that I have met those masters per say, but I feel connected with Yogananda and he's one of them and that's my feeling on it. read more

I was visiting from out of own and needed to destress, Laurens vinyasa class was just the medicine that I needed. They're doing a great thing here, come as you are and leave a little better! read more

Nice teachers and pretty little studio, but they are very stern about policies. I bought a Groupon punchcard for myself. During the 4 bad snowstorm days I was not able to get in. Then I fell on ice and missed another two weeks recuperating to the point at which I could bend at the knee again. When I asked for a week or two extension, they said no, indicating that I already got my money's worth, having only used half of my punches so far. Years ago a similar thing happened, when my daughter's doctor said not to exercise for a few weeks. It's strange for a yoga studio to be so stiff, so to speak, especially as I've never seen the studio over filled with students. Ah well, I enjoyed the stretching & breathing training while it lasted! I guess it will be back to yoga at home now. I liked the classes I went to but noticed that they do not invite questions about poses. That's unusual too. read more

So awesome. Very relaxing and spiritual. Lauren is amazing. She has the voice of an angel. Definitely drop in you won't regret it.

A great and affordable place to do yoga. Even those who are struggling or going through financial hardships can afford to practice here. They want you present. The teachers are great and the atmosphere is nice as well. Everything about the place is inviting and representative of the kind of yoga space I want to be in. read more

Love the open, airy space! Beautiful, clean studio. Soma led us in a very focused, grounding Vinyasa flow. The savasana at the end was intense. She has a soothing, old soul energy. If I find myself back in Eugene again, I will practice here. read more

What a great studio! Exactly what others have said. A calm, serene place to unwind and be yourself, enjoy the company and energy of others around you. I attended Damni's Gentle Flow class, it was great. Great instruction, suitable for beginners to intermediate. What I loved most was the people in attendance. Young, aged, thicker-bodied, fit, men, women. I love that it's donation based! I'll be back! read more

A gem in Eugene. I love this studio, especially Zoe's class. She's a wonderful teacher, incorporating interesting flow and sequence. I recommend Jackie's and Yogeswar's classes as well. The studio is by donation, so classes are affordable. read more

I have been going to EPY a few days a week off and on for the past 9 months, and plan on continuing to support the studio for the foreseeable future. The studio emphasizes the spiritual aspects just as much as the physical aspects of yoga practice. The studio takes a very traditional approach to the practice of yoga--this is not a yoga fitness gym, which is what I appreciate about it. I feel comfortable and respected at the studio, and as the studio has grown, so has the sense of community among students at the classes. I tend to go to Phoenix's and Cloud's morning classes because of my schedule, and I love both of their styles of teaching vinyasa flow. Phoenix and Cloud both have very unique teaching styles that are both incredibly valuable to me. I appreciate the studio's humility: the studio does not have a receptionist, is donation-based, and does not have a store to sell expensive yoga products. Each class incorporates a short meditation practice and all kinds of modifications are offered for each pose. The room is gorgeous and calming; a very appropriate setting for a productive practice. read more

Namaste. The idea behind this place - donation based yoga - is a good one, but the quality of instruction (and music selection) tends to lack a feeling of professionalism, especially from the male instructor. Actually, from this fellow I've repeatedly had some pretty negative vibes, as though he's just barely holding back his judgment of his "students" most of the time and trying to show off in ways as to show them how far they have yet to come.... It has not had the "safe" feeling - to me - that the website mentions. The female instructors I've had class with are pretty alright, but the male instructor seems to teach the majority of the classes. (Methinks he is the owner of the studio.) If this is all you can afford, and you do better in a group setting than with a DVD at home, go for it - with caution. Otherwise take your money to a more vetted studio. (I'm currently trying the 30 days for $30 deal at Eugene Yoga - their Vinyasa classes are really good, and a nice spectrum of folks come to their classes.) Danyavad. read more

My son and I really enjoyed EP Yoga.. the location, the studio and the teachers. The studio is very clean, they are very welcoming and seemed to be very conscientious aobut their teaching style. It was my son's first yoga class (he's 19) in Eugene and he even let the teacher know after class, how inspired he was by her class. The fact that we both felt welcome, we both felt like we had a great class shows that this is a very versatile place to practice. read more
