He gave an initial verbal quote of $3,200 for a complete job (mowing, tree trimming, edging, weed-eating, removing a large tree with the stump, and sod). I asked how much without the large tree, and Luis adjusted his offer to $700. We continued walking the property; the gentleman changed the price to $3,000. I shared that I wanted to wait on the tree and asked a second time for the estimate without the tree. His offer changed to $800 w/o the tree (an increase of $100)! I explained that I'm waiting on two more estimates and would call him this weekend. Friday during the dinner hour, Mr. Rodriguez called to say that his crew would arrive the next day to start work. I politely reminded Luis that I was waiting on estimates and would contact him by Saturday. He thanked me, and the call ended. In less than a minute, Luis calls back, yelling that I had an agreement with him and that I couldn't do this to him as he called in a crew to work the next day. I work in customer service (25 years), and I'm slow to anger, but the gaul. This is the owner acting this way. I just can't recommend this service for anyone with the moving target quotes, slick maneuvers, and bully tactics. Stay away!

Well, they did not grind the stump, instead the yanked them out of the ground pulling up huge sections of my drip line. If they had ground down the stump as contracted to do, I would NOT have to replace huge sections of the drip line. This left my yard a mess with splinter wood all over the place. And they did give a rats about tearing up my lawn.

We called that afternoon and set up an appointment with Jeff Stucker Monday morning. When he got here on time, he was shocked with how big the crack was. They were there early and worked thru the day and came back first thing Monday morning to finish it. After everything was cleared out they put the big things back in place and left it as clean as you could want after felling a 150+ year old tree. It was really big. We couldn't be happier with the work and professionalism. The cost at the end was the quoted price which was a very good price.

Absolutely excellent service from the start to the finish! We haven't addressed our trees in almost…read morefive years. It was time! The canopies were very low, lots of broken and dead limbs, and we had a few trees that were so overgrown that they were against the house and roof. The initial walkthrough was with Chase Hartman, a Certified Arborist. We looked at every tree on my property and discussed what could be done to it to raise the canopy, thin it out, check for damage and disease, and make sure it's healthy and will continue to flourish. At the end of the walk, they were going to limb up and thin out six huge trees in my front yard, take down a pine and oak that had grown together and were way too close to my home, take down six dead Leyland Cyprus and two huge pine trees that if they fell, would crush my home. A week later, the crew arrived with two trucks, a bobcat loader, a chipper, and eight very experienced crew. They sized up the access to the property, spoke with my neighbors to ask to use their driveways to get to my backyard, and went to work. It was incredible to watch professionals practice their craft! They systematically worked on the two large pines in the backyard by climbing the tree and cutting limbs as they went up. Piling up the limbs to be pulled away by the bobcat to the chipped. Within two hours, both large pines were gone, and work started on the cypress, which they made quick work of. They arrived at eight AM and left at one-thirty PM. Professional from start to finish. They protected my yard, my neighbors' yards, and systematically, cleanly dropped ten trees and cleaned/limbed up six trees. From the first walkthrough to the final stump grinding a week after the tree work, excellent communications, great service, extremely professional and friendly. They were priced competitively, took care of the permitting, and got the work done in a timely manner. Beyond that, they cleaned up after themselves and had our property looking immaculate afterwards. The crew cleaned up after the work was completed so that there was no dust or wood chips on our roof (and our neighbor's roof since they had to access the neighbor's property to fully take down the tree). Anyone visiting us the next day would've never known that we just had a giant tree cut down. There was some oil spillage on our paved alley/driveway from a chainsaw that broke while cutting down the tree, and Northside provided us with a free power wash to take care of the problem. Northside does excellent work and I recommend them if you need a tree taken down.
