But I received a summons for a small claims case after a few months of their phone calls, nothing ever received in writing through the mail. I eventually got tired of stressing it and called to try to come to an agreement to help my credit score, as well, before the court mediation appointment. I spoke to JESSICA and she had tacked on an extra $100 to the amount owed! WTF? I asked how this had happened within a couple of months on an original debt of $176. Fees! Well, fees had already been added to amount requested in court summons statement. I said I would get back to them about it and then decided to go to mediation. Went to mediation today and the guy that showed up to represent Atlas gave me an amount owing of $100 less than JESSICA had given! Had JESSICA been honest and agreed to the CORRECT amount owing, it would have been resolved and no mediation required for me...or them! BE CAREFUL when dealing with JESSICA that she doesn't add on extra fees to line her pocket! Go to mediation and deal with someone more reasonable! The ONLY reason I gave 2 stars is because the guy at mediation was reasonable and easy to deal with.

I finally switched to another advisor at a recognised firm and the improvement was immediate. If you have similar experiences with Mr. Lusby: cut your losses (in time and money) and find a reputable advisor that is at a minimum available for consultation. At John Hancock their call center is 100% based in Philippines at all hours of the day & night. The call reps don't get measured on answering questions accurately, or providing any amount of customer service, rather only on speed of answer. THAT'S IT! They were of no help at all. The website indicated to call their 800 number for information on 401k questions, yet the the call rep constantly referred me back to the website for information (that wasn't present). The call felt like a 'who's on first?' episode. Even at the end of the call when they asked had they answered all my questions, and I indicated they did NOT help with my concerns... the response said it all... 'excellent, have a nice day', and they hung up! This is the fourth call I've had with them, and I can't wait to move my money OUT of that place. Stay away from this firm. Whatever promises are being made in local offices, or by brokerage firms trying to sign you or your company up... I PROMISE you will be sorry later.
