He is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to micro meteorology and wind patterns, and he has a very hands on coaching style. He's all about keeping his students safe, creating a fun and positive learning environment, and progressively advancing his students at their own learning paces. Before starting lessons with Marcello, my only flying experience was a one hour tandem paragliding flight. Within 7 weeks of flying under Marcello's instruction, he taught me excellent ground handling skills, reverse and forward kiting, forward and reverse take offs, safe landing techniques and etiquette at the Landing Zone, thermaling, ridge soaring, top landings at both Marshall Peak and Crestline, and cross country. With the skill set that he's taught me, my flight durations are usually between 1.5-3 hours. I never dreamed I could advance at a new technical sport so quickly and safely. Spoiler alert~~ ++ Towards the end of our flight, while piloting us, Jordan did some awesome corkscrew maneuvers. I sure felt the breeze! ++ Then he let me pilot the wing. He guided me, and I did some corkscrew turns and flips. So cool! + At the base they have a nice hangar-type rest area for chilling and watching other people flying. + Glad they check the weather and let you know beforehand what time to show up. - The website ordering platform could've been clearer. The page to order tandem paragliding flights [ https://www.flywithjordan.info/product-page/tandem-paragliding-flight ] doesn't clearly show the add-on GoPro option. Turns out you have to manually navigate through the "Go shopping!" tab at the top and the following "Add a GoPro" option for this $25 add-on. . If you can't find your receipt upon purchase, check your spam box. - No full restrooms. Only two porta-potties available. No hand sanitizer at the porta-potty. I suppose it'd be expensive or cumbersome to install a restroom out there. Wish there was something like signs pointing to the nearest clean public restroom. - The 20min jeep ride from base to takeoff is very bumpy, with tree branches scraping against the vehicle. Kinda wish they used a fast, smooth elevator system instead. In the meantime, wish they filled the potholes and cut the branches. - I felt queasy during the 2nd half of my flight. Very uncomfortable during that 5-10min, but I managed to keep it in. Slow deep breaths. A little acupressure. . Wish they had given us guidelines beforehand on what to do during mid-flight nausea. - Unfortunately they don't fly a party of 2-3 people simultaneously. If you're going with 1 or 2 friends, one person flies with the instructor at a time while the friends wait for about 50 mins at base. - Crude diction. - At $25 for a GoPro add-on, I think they should also include a cameraman at the base recording our entire flight. - Also, at times during our flight, the instructor turned the GoPro off. At $25 add-on, the action cam should have ample footage and battery so it can stay rolling throughout the whole flight. . Takes about a week for them to provide you their GoPro footage. . Would be nice if they had something like light refreshments at the base, considering the dry warm climate up there and the long waits. I understand if they don't provide heavy snacks or large drinks because they don't want students puking mid-flight. - Didn't realize the company car ride from base to takeoff point was ~20min long. My friend went first. I sat waiting at the base getting bored and sleepy, all while trying my best not to miss his flight so I could record it for him, since they don't have a cameraman at base doing that for us. - Exorbitant! All pros and cons considered, a tandem ride w/GoPro total should cost less than $200, not $277.

Nothing compares to just flying up in the air and staying airborne. Don't worry if you have never tried it before- Jordan is extremely safe/careful- he has done over three thousand tandem flights with no injuries! Jordan will actually have you pilot (if you want to) the wing for a bit while in the air. Some details: You drive and park at the landing site and you will be driven up to the launch site. The cost is $250 for Tandem (which is a great deal considering your 30+ minute flight time and equipment and lift up the mountain. Definitely get the Go Pro camera package for just $25 more. Highly recommended! They have gift cards - which are great if you want to treat that special someone. P.S. I met four former students at the airfield and they all happily graduated from Jordans flight school and can now fly solo.

Over time and watching Stephen teach others on weekends, I realized that his teaching style and safety-conscious mind would keep me from getting hurt. He taught me to kite and fly toward the end of 2017, he worked hard to clean up my technique to as close to perfect as I personally can get, and I've been at it non-stop ever since! I've been able to progress at my own snail-paced speed, which kept me having fun and I was able to achieve some unbelievable goals. I earned my P4, I'm able to stay up for hours in thermals, I've flown cross-country a few times, flew a few different sites, and last year I became a BGD Team Pilot!!! If you told me in 2017 that this is where I'd be in 2024/25, I would have laughed in your face. I could not have done any of that without him. I've watched him bring up many great pilots who have a good understanding of safety and potential, many of whom have their own wonderful achievements. Whether you're timid, or an adrenaline junkie, he can get you flying. He will give you all the tools you need to succeed, as long as you listen, heed his warnings & apply his advice. He continues to be an invaluable resource to not only myself, but pilots who aren't even his students! He truly cares. Yes, I would 100% recommended him.

Met Jonny on set one day and found out he was a paragliding instructor. Thought I would give it a try! Flew in San Bernardino on crisp beautiful day. He gave great instruction right off the bat, and we had no trouble getting in the air. It only took one attempt, and we were up! It is by far one of the most fun and thrilling things I have done in awhile. Way more fun that zip-lining or parasailing. A big part of having fun on tandem paragliding is having a great instructor. Jonny made me feel very comfortable while in the air and was also extremely knowledgeable. He tells you what goes on while you're in the air to put you at ease. We were up for a good 30-45 minutes. Landing was a lot of fun too! Would recommend Oxygen Paragliding to anyone! Check it out for yourself. You wont regret it :)... Hope I get to go up again in the future. Maybe a new hobby? Oh yeah, don't forget a jacket, gloves, and sunglasses!

Which I wouldn't have minded if we had actually gotten the flights we had booked. I had booked 2 tandem flights for a date in malibu (and was very clear that there were 2 of us who both wanted to go) but he told me if we went to malibu we would have to wait around a lot in between the flights so it would be better to drive out to sylmar instead - which again, I wouldn't have been upset about if we had actually gotten to do the flights. We all drove up to the top of a mountain and after Hadi assisted several other paragliders (who weren't with us) he finally got around to my flight. At the bottom of the mountain after checking and packing the gear he wanted to take pictures and kept delaying driving back up to chat with friends instead. All in all we wound up leaving my boyfriend at the top of the mountain for 3 hours without a phone before Hadi got back up there for his flight. Then, once back up there (it's about a 30min drive from where we met to where the flight takes off) - he said he was waiting for the wind but just helped a bunch of other paragliders take off (who weren't with us and also weren't asking for help as far as I know). He also stopped responding to his radio (I was getting worried waiting at the bottom and asked people nearby to try to contact them). By the time he was finally ready to fly with my boyfriend, it was way too late in the day and they just had to drive back down (it was 7:30pm at that point and we had arrived at 1pm). If it had been a fluke of the weather, again i wouldn't have minded, but he just seemed to have no sense of time or interest in getting the flights done. Then on top of that, he asked me to not only pay full price for my flight, but OVER full price with fees ($260 total). After that he tried to get me to book with him AGAIN (but offered no discount - just called it "rescheduling" even though I would be paying full price for both times) and said he could do it right next time and hire another pilot so that we could go together. The whole ordeal (and the above average price) are definitely not worth the 10-15min of gliding.
