Very nice campground. Despite the reviews denigrating the owners/employees I found them to be friendly, polite and helpful. Admittedly I didn't have many interactions in the month I stayed there but what little contact I did have was all positive. I stayed for 1 full month and had a very nice campsite for my camper. The campground was clean and very wooded which I found peaceful. The lake is very nice and there are plenty of amenities including a clubhouse, mini golf, playground and regular events. I am working in the area and Evergreen was my first choice of campgrounds partly because of location and partly because it doesn't have that 'trailer park' feel due to the abundance of trees and irregularity of campsite spacing and orientation. The caveat with the trees is that getting a 30' camper in and out of the sites can be a challenge. Unfortunately I was forced to move to another campground because Evergreen didn't have 'winter' water at their regular campsites and I needed a space through the end of December. If they upgrade their water to accommodate year round campers I would move back without hesitation. Weekends the tent sites fill up and it has a different feel than through the week when it's mostly the seasonal campers but it was always nice. I would recommend Evergreen to anyone looking for a quiet, peaceful place to stay in warmer months. If you need a winter site look elsewhere. read more

Staff was friendly and it was a nice place to stay for two nights. Primitive spots and regular spots available. W/E/C available and WiFi. Picnic table and fire ring in each spot. Cool arcade we didn't get to use because it never opened. laundry room and mini golf. A set of swings and a pirate themed playground. Bath house with 4 toilets and 2 showers. It was nice and quiet and peaceful at night. read more

Extremely prejudice and horrible customer service. The place itself is beautiful but the discrimination from its employees made it very uncomfortable and they overpriced us. Beware: Do NOT agree to the "No Refund" policy at this place! On May 29, 2016 I went to visit my girlfriend at her campsite at Evergreen Lake in Bath Pennsylvania. On my way I got a little lost because I have only ever visited her there twice prior over a 3 year time span and was unfamiliar with the area. To better define "a little lost" I was unclear how to enter the site and briefly traveled down two incorrect roads before I found my way to her site. Just before I reached her site a man on a four-wheeler approached my vehicle in an aggressive manor and started shouting at me; "WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?!" before I could process the question or answer he shouted again "WHERE IS YOUR PASS!? DO YOU HAVE A PASS!?" again, before i could answer he shouted again "WHO ARE YOU HERE TO SEE?!" ... I reluctantly said my girlfriends name thinking I'm about to get her into some kind of trouble and I have no idea why. He then shouts at me again; "YOU NEED TO GO TO THE OFFICE! GO TO THE OFFICE!" and I'm left wondering "What office?" I'm new here and have no idea how any of this works. All I know is there is just some crazy man yelling at me for no reason. I immediately called my girlfriend on my cell phone and told her I need to go to some office and asked where it was. She said she saw the whole thing, told me where the office was and she would meet me there. I said this guy was yelling at me about some "pass", am I supposed to have a "pass" ... she said; I already took care of it and she had the pass for me with her. (this lead me to wonder why we were going to the office at all .. but we went anyway) I pulled up at the campsite office, parked and waited for the girlfriend to arrive. While I was waiting the guy on the four-wheeler pulled into the small lot a few cars to my right. I watched him for a minute and thought he would go into the office to inform whomever was in there that I'd be coming. But he didn't. Instead he just muddled around outside. This made me wonder if he was even affiliated with Evergreen lake or if he was just some rouge vigilante camper. I got out of my car to wait for my girlfriend but continued to watch him for a bit more. He still wasn't doing anything that seemed like he was a staff member so I decided to ask him; "Excuse me ... who are you ... I mean ..." and before I could clarify my question he shouted "DON'T YOU WORRY ABOUT WHO I AM!". Fed-up and realizing this guy just wants to fight, I said "OK", turned and walked away. Just then my girlfriend pulled into the parking lot and I asked her "Do you know that guy?" she then told me it was the owner of the site! ... Are you kidding me!? This is how he does business?! Just screaming at people?! I then explained to her that I passed him twice while trying to enter the site and I watched him as he watched me. He could clearly see I was lost, and rather than ask "You look a little lost, can I help you?" he just starts berating me like a bad bouncer with pent-up 'roid-rage'. At this point I don't want to stay but the girlfriend points out that I'm already here and drove all this way so she convinces me to stay for a few hours. She hands me the pass and we go back to her campsite. As a result of everything mentioned above, when I returned home later that evening, I posted an online review of the experience. Days later, the owner of Evergreen Lake demanded that the review be removed or my girlfriend would be evicted from the campsite with out refund. (I'm pretty sure that isn't even legal?) The review was not taken down and one week after my initial visit the owner evicted my girlfriend. She asked for a refund and he denied it to her. She had paid for the entire season and invested monies into other items required by Evergreen Lake's rules. The season had only just begun and she hadn't even "opened up her site" yet. The total monies lost as a result is just under $4,000.00 USD. Summary: Stay away from this place and whatever you do ... not not agree to the No Refund policy. read more

This place is the worst campground I have ever been too. It claims to be "pet friendly" but your pet must remain on your site during the entire stay. It can not be almost anywhere else or you will be kicked out. There are more rules, some that are a little ridiculous. You have to have lights out at 11pm, you can't have clothe drying outside, and so much more. Everything you do will get you kicked out. You have to pay to fish, and every fish you catch you pay an additional fee for each fish you catch. Not worth it. Not many activities. Got no hand out for activities happening that weekend and no channel line up list. You advertise you have free cable but you don't know what-is-what. Oh yeah, no sewer on any sites. Must run hot water on off your propane tank. Kids and parents are running around like animals. Going 5mph and people are yelling at you to slow down. People stand in the middle of the road and won't move over. Kids running in front of cars without looking or parking their bikes in the middle of the road...parents just let it happen. Some people even smile and laugh while looking back at cars lining up behind them, because the refuse to move over or let the cars pass. Overall, save your money and go anywhere else read more

This is honestly the most horrible place I have ever been to. Everyone that works there was ridiculously rude. We had to "pick wherever we wanted to stay" in the tiny tent area. Also we went swimming at night which we didn't know wasn't allowed and they made us leave AT 12 o clock. They made us pack our tents and everything in the middle of the night while being completely perverted. This place disgusts me and if I could, I would leave zero stars for this place. I will never be returning again and I will make sure to tell my friends to NEVER visit this place also. read more

I've been to Evergreen Lake a few times over the past few summers, as it is convenient and close to where I live. It is a beautiful place and a nice beach for swimming. The downside is the rudeness of the staff. Of all the times I've gone, I've never encountered a friendly staff. I went with my friend for swimming and as we go in to pay the man says very rudely, "You know you have to pay, RIGHT?" No hi, no "how are you?" Other times I've gotten "What do you want?" Obviously if we are walking into the office to pay we are planning on paying, it's not like we were sneaking onto the lake or being sketchy. My friend wanted to fish and they gave her a broken fishing pole. She asked if she could return it for another one or have her money back and they refused. All in all, I go here because it is convenient and close, but there are much nicer lakes around, such as Mauch Chunk lake. Would not recommend. read more

This is our first season here, and so far we just love it! The owner runs a tight ship and keeps everything nice and clean. We love the lake, the campground (of course the wonderful friendly people) and the activities. We have visited many many campgrounds, this one is in our top ten! Simply beautiful location. read more

My wife saw there ad on tv and thought, why not go, looks nice. well the one star is for the initial appearance, it is very nice. aside from the appearance this place has nothing else except a fish and pay lake, $5 to enter and $5 a fish that u catch, way to much considering we just paid to camp there. There was no-one there except the permanent campers. There was a small storm that went through and knocked out the power from 5pm til sometime after we went to bed at 9:30 because they have nothing else for campers to do. The next day they wanted storms again so we left so we would not have to go to bed before dark again. The rules for pets are very strict, there only allowed to be walked on the roads not in the grass, that is not being used by anyone else because theres no-one else there. seems to us that everything at this place is for permanent campers or people willing to pay to fish or use there pavilion. Do not go to this place unless you are willing to stay in your camper and listen to the staff dogs and permanent campers dogs barking at everyone that walks by read more
