I generally hate writing a review without really making sure of my facts. But here is my story with only the facts. We were interested in taking our newest 2 year old Bassett Beagle mix to Evergreen. My wife spent quite a bit of time filling out all the paper work. Once completed, she submitted it to the office. After some time, we received a confirmation call that the application had been received and that we needed to call back to set up an appointment. So my wife did just that and we received a date and time. So far so good. When we arrived today we spoke to the receptionist and told her that we were here for our appointment. She said that we did not have an appointment. I was confused. Maybe we got it wrong, it happens. But she said that we are not even in their system. Now I am thinking we had the wrong place. So embarrassing. But wife said she knows it's the right place. She looks for the info on her phone. The receptionist said they are not taking new patience and that we probably filled out the paper work and that we are on a waiting list. But something was just off about this. Why would we have showed up on this date and time? We have a message saying that we needed to call and set up an appointment. My wife did that. The receptionist said its not possible. Even after showing her the message. She kept saying that we made a mistake and insinuating we did something wrong. She even said a couple times that you can stop looking for proof because it wont change anything and that we dont have an appointment. It was quite off putting that she would talk to us like that and at the very least, own up to the fact that a mistake was made on their end. So my issue is the customer service. I am a business man and you have to treat your customer with more respect. I dont think she intentionally wanted to be rude, but she was not interested in getting to the bottom of this. It was only....You guys are wrong and thats tough! I get it, you dont need our business, but treat people better. Listen to them. Dont assume things. I left peoples names out of this review because I am not trying to start something here, but I felt like we were treated wrong and wanted to let people know. read more

Very rude unprofessional front end gal, Michelle!!! Should not take 3 weeks for my requested 'records' to only find out they only 'keep' for 3 years and it's been 4. Stating my computer file my dog only had 3 shots which is false as my dog only went to this veterinary clinic from puppy stage. Michelle got snappy remarks 'well it's not our fault you didn't get your dog more shots' umm okay but he did that's not even realistic shot series for a puppy!! I've had many pets over the years and gone to several veterinary clinics in Seattle. By far, Dr. Evergreen is the best. For a couple years my dog was misdiagnosed for her stomach issues and given medication she didn't need. He realized she had an ulcer and the treatment he suggested worked. The staff really care and Dr. Everegreen is very knowledgeable. Highly recommend! read more

I would highly recommend steering clear of this establishment. I'm elderly and 70 years old, I brought my dog in who was sick and vomiting. I was very kind with Doctor Brad Evergreen, but he showed no emotion and was short, rude and condescending towards me. My dog being sick has been hard enough on me and I don't know why I was treated with such disrespect! I just simply wanted the best care for my baby. I am so sad to give this place 3 stars.... And the only reason I didn't give 2 stars is because I can't tell if what happened is a normal occurrence or just me having a not good experience... either way, I unfortunately will not be going back. The staff were great, and Dr Evergreen is great too. He knows his stuff, I appreciated his realism and honesty. And everything was fine until my dog needed X-rays. - April 20th I got the X-rays, that same day I asked for the radiographs to be sent to me. - April 22nd: still no X-rays) I call them asking to send over the radiographs to his orthopedic surgeon... again reminded them that I'd like the radiographs sent to my email as well. - April 25th: I check on the X-rays again. I'm told by reception that the Dr needs to "approve them still" but that it shouldn't be much longer. I said thank you and ok. - April 29th: still no X-rays. Reception tells me again "the Dr will get to it when he gets to it". It's at that point, almost 10 days later that I was fed up with waiting. I've had many radiographs taken from last dogs before and NEVER EVER had it taken more than 2-3 days. I then had to contact my Orthopedic surgeon to get the X-rays for me since me asking wasn't enough. Today it's been 18 days (over half a month) AND STILL NO X-RAYS IN MY EMAIL.... Luckily his ortho office did receive them finally so I no longer have to reach out to this place again. I understand being busy, but this is just poor time management or lack of care I'm not sure which. My dog was limping and some days not putting any weight on his leg!!!! I had to BEG and plead them to prioritize my dog. Like I said... I don't know if this was a one off thing... but even so after the second or even THIRD time I called you would think that at some point the X-rays would have been sent to me immediately after the call followed by an apology. But I got none of that. So sad. read more

I've been bringing my pets to Dr. Evergreen for probably close to 15 years. As for some of the reviews that complained about Dr running late. Well he's taking his time with another patient and that should be OK. Also to the lady who refused to pay for pain meds for her kittens spay. Shame on you! That is major surgery and I'm glad Dr refused to do the surgery without it. That should be a non negotiable and I'm glad he refused for the sake of the kitten. Dr. Evergreen has been my vet for 6 different breeds of dogs for me, each with complicated issues such as pancreatitis and spine injuries. My dogs have always had the best care at a reasonable price. I will drive hours here if need be. He has great alternatives to traditional drugs for anxiety. My dogs actually like coming here read more

Dr. Evergreen is incredibly knowledgeable, prefers to give you the options while explaining each of them, often saving you money by not recommending unnecessary and expensive tests, while still looking our for your pet's wellbeing. We have taken our husky with Addison's disease to him for her whole life and he has been the best. My parents also take their dog to him, and they have had the same experience. I would recommend him to anyone who wants the best care for their pet. read more

Wow...just wow. We've never had a puppy before and we took our 9 wk old blue heeler in for her first visit with Dr. Evergreen today. Let me just say how impressed I was with not only his staff but also the facility. Everyone was very helpful and patient with our nervousness and questions. Dr. Evergreen didn't pressure us to make any decisions but instead took the time to educate us and allow us to make decisions we can be comfortable are the right ones for our puppy. I really like Dr. Evergreen and his approach to pet care. I brought my rescue kitty in for an initial exam to get set up with a regular vet after we moved to the area, and Dr. Evergreen was very thorough and spent a good amount of time going over my kitty's records, talking to me, observing my cat, and doing a thorough exam. Any time my cat has presented with an issue, Dr. Evergreen has given me a bunch of different options and really included me in choosing the best approach for my cat. Making appointments and getting callbacks have always been quick. I also really appreciated his nutritional knowledge and the focus on holistic healing. I have been very hesitant about continuing my rescue kitty's prescription diet for FLUTD since it seems low quality (especially for the cost!), and he presented me with some good options for high quality foods that would be good for my cat. read more

I would never recommend this place. First of all, they overcharge an insane amount. For example, after our dog got neutered they sent us home with 3 tablets of 227mg of previcox for $60. You can buy a bottle of 60 tablets for $16 at most places. That comes to about $0.26 per tablet and they charged us $20 per tablet. Also, getting him neutered cost about $300 more than other vets. They also sent us home with a cone that was way too big for him and overcharged for that too. If that's not bad enough, the vet has been late to appointments multiple times and was 45 minutes late to one appointment and never even said sorry for being so late. Unless you have a bunch of extra money and all of the time in the world, don't go here. read more

I can't say enough good things about this vet. 1. For the price conscious, their prices are quite reasonable. (Edit 2016: His prices have gone up. He's now on par with the more expensive clinics in the area. He's still a wonderful vet - just don't go there expecting to pay less for your pet's care.) 2. They are able to do a lot of the testing in-house which not only makes it less expensive but gets you results much faster. 3. You can tell they actually love animals. How many vets get down on the floor and play with your pet to make her feel comfortable? They are very gentle, take things slow, talk soothing to the animals, and make it as pleasant as they can for them. 4. The vet took over an hour with my two cats. He explained everything in detail. He didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need, was very positive and upbeat without being unrealistic. I had left my current vet with really no real information, an attitude of "let's wait until they get sick before we take any action," and a sense of doom. I'm so glad I went to see Dr. Evergeen because he allayed my fears, gave me the information I needed, ran another test to get a little more information, and told me what I could do to help prevent future problems. I've been to another holistic vet who charged 5 times as much as Dr. Evergreen, wasn't as personable, didn't run any tests, and had an office that you left covered in animal hair because animals were lounging all over the furniture. He did nothing for me but make sure I knew how great he was and how he was consulted from all over the country. Oh, and I had to wait in the waiting room for two hours to see him. Dr. Evergreen had us in the exam room within 2 minutes! We are transferring our records for our other cats here. We liked our other vet and he's closer to our house, but Dr. Evergreen is amazing. I wouldn't suggest trying Google maps or a GPS to get there. We had both and each sent us in different directions, neither in the right direction. Just turn onto Freyland's Blvd. and watch for them on the left. They're easy to spot at the end of a little strip mall. read more

It saddens me to have to write a fairly negative review about this facility. First, I do think Dr. Brad Evergreen is a great vet, and I appreciate the time and thoughtfulness he has given my dogs for the past 2 1/2 years. However, his front-desk staff has significantly gone downhill in the last year or so. Rude, incompetent, disrespectful. In one day, it took me 45 minutes to place a simple med renewal because they had a new receptionist. That was frustrating enough. But when I hired someone to drive to Monroe l to pick it up, it wasn't there, and they refused to address it that night. This is something I've done for the past 2 1/2 years -- hired someone to pick up the meds, as their office is almost 40 minutes away. Because of this error, my dog went without his meds that day, even though I informed the receptionist that I was OUT and I needed to pick it up that day. When I ordered it, I was told it would be ready by 2 and the messenger arrived at 4:30. Fortunately it is for thyroid and not too harmful to skip. But I wonder, as one of my dogs enters his senior years, whether front office staff will keep me from getting the proper care for when there is a much higher risk? When I brought that up, I was told that I was "silly and ridiculous." For complete disclosure, the person I sent did mess up and didn't bring my name or my dog's name with her. However, that information was available online (I hired her through TaskRabbit) and she offered to go to a library, look up the information and return. They refused, told her not to bother, they were NOT going to give her any medications because I hadn't given them the messenger's name. The fact that the order was missing and no one asked me for her name was irrelevant to them. I still don't understand why they wouldn't let her return with my name so they could call me and clear it up that night. . I have been doing this for 2 1/2 years -- sending a messenger to pick up the meds, and have had no issues. When I pointed out how it could have been handled better, and my frustration, I was told that there was a new receptionist and therefore I should expect that there would be problems while he learned. I was chastised for complaining. I asked that Dr. Evergreen contact me if he was interested in us remaining his patients and she said to come at 9:30 to pick up the meds and she would make sure he was available to talk to me face-to-face and then she hung up as I was explaining I would not be the person coming and I was trying to give her the information required for the pick-up the next day to go okay. I left a message with the receptionist and the other front office staff member (the one who was rude and hostile) and Dr. Evergreen never called. He may not even be aware that his front desk is ruining his reputation. If I had gone at 9:30, he would have been in surgery. This front office just doesn't care, is rude and disrespectful of the patients in this practice. I've had some previous abrupt and snappish encounters with them over the last year, but it hadn't previously cost me so much in time and money, and potentially put my dog at risk before. Now that it has, and I haven't heard from Dr. Evergreen, I have no other option but to find another vet. As much as I value the care that Dr. Evergreen gave, up to 90% of my interactions with his office is with his front office staff. I can't risk the health and life of my dogs to his office staff, so I will be switching vets. Really sad when a great professional's reputation is getting ruined by his staff. read more

This is the first "Woohoo" rating I have given in all of my reviews thus far. We adopted a Shepperd mix from Homeward Pets and Dr. Evergreen was on the list of vets who honored the free first exam coupon. He and his wife also volunteer their services at the shelter. I was amazed that we spent 45 minutes during our first exam. That's more time than I spend with my own physician! His approach is a holistic approach and to minimize unnecessary vaccines and medication. He is very knowledgeable about pet health and writes articles on the subject which is available in the reception area. When we first moved to Monroe we thought about not only cost but as well as service level and went to a couple different veterinarians. However, after this recent experience with Evergreen we have decided to take our brood of 4 dogs and 1 cat to Dr. Evergreen. His prices are very reasonable, which is a big consideration when you have many companions to care for. read more

Six years of jumping from one vet to another just to find the best doctor, and we finally found someone that we felt really cared about Cooper. Most vets provide a too aggressive of an approach to treatments and/or exams - it was the opposite with Dr. Evergreen. He provided us with a lot of information that we didn't know. He's thorough, takes his time, and very pleasant both to us and Cooper. A holistic doctor that is a perfect complement to our holistic life for our Cooper. Dr. Brad Evergreen is THE vet I've been searching for the last 7 years. I've bounced around to several places over the years and was never too fond of any other vets until coming here when I decided to try a holistic vet. 5 Reasons why you should go here: 1) He's incredibly thorough and knowledgeable, takes his time to look at everything, 2) He treats your pet using traditional and alternative natural approaches so you get the best of both worlds, 3) He's patient when explaining things and doesn't make you feel rushed 4) He doesn't sell you on a bunch of overwhelming and unnecessary BS options and pricing is reasonable, 5) He's so kind with great bedside manners and empathy. I have 2 dogs, one has cancer and the other has dental disease with a history of an autoimmune disease. The cancer was emotionally challenging and really freaked me out, but he was so great through the process and although he was capable of removing the cancer himself, he referred us to a really good surgeon to make sure that she had the best chance. When we 1st came here my other dog was diagnosed with Pancreatitis by his previous vet and they put him on poor quality vet prescribed kibbles. Immediately Dr. Evergreen undiagnosed him and ran tests to confirm his suspicion that the original diagnoses was incorrect! He's now on high quality raw food. He's also just did a massive tooth extraction on him and did the best he could to save his other teeth. We live in Bellevue so sometimes it takes a while to get to/from, but all worth it and seems that other reviewers agree. The technicians and staff are all always nice and friendly and the facility is well maintained. When your dogs are like your children, I'm grateful for having a vet like Dr. Evergreen that we can really trust. read more

Other than the actual veterinarian, the staff at this office have to be the rudest, most inconsiderate young ladies I have ever dealt with. I contacted the clinic where we have already brought our puppy to 7 weeks ago for a health check. The first visit went fine with the actual vet, although the billing was incorrect showing take home medication, which wasn't the case. This was a minor clerical error by the office staff. On our most recent visit, we called in advance because our puppy had worms. We were told that the Vet had left the office for the day but we could stop by and pickup the dewormer medication without the puppy. After driving 45 minutes to the clinic, we walked in and three young ladies were sitting around the front counter socializing and playing with their cell phones. They seemed to feel irritated or "put out" that I was interrupting their banter to be a customer. After telling them I had called and was just picking up the dewormer, a rude young lady, who remained sitting in a chair tilted back with her legs crossed sternly said, "do you know how much your dog weighs?". I replied, "yes, we just weighed him at 43 pounds". She replied, " well we can't fill any medications without the doctor here. Did you bring your dog? He has to be weighed because if we are even one point off it changes the medication." I replied that I had just called and was told not to bring the dog because the vet was out and that I could just get the dewormer. The young lady then said, "well she was supposed to call you back and let you know that we couldn't give you the dewormer without the vet being here, she must have gotten busy". This was directly in front of the lady who had my file and who I spoke with over the phone. After reminding her that I drove 45 minutes to get there and expressing my disappointment and frustration with how they were treating me, I left. It was clear to me that not only do these ladies have no customer service skills, there also appeared to be internal conflicts going on between the women which is impacting how they are handling customers. While the Vet here was great, his staff is absolutely horrendous. With so many great places to choose from, skip the rude staff here and the high priced vet and go somewhere they will appreciate your business. read more

My husband and I really like Dr. Evergreen. It's taken us a while to find a vet we trust and we really trust him. He takes the time to go over everything with you and makes sure you understand. Other places they just do the treatment and expect a tech to explain it. Dr. Evergreen takes the time to with you to make sure you understand. We have been looking for such a vet. I've taken my kitty to several traditional vets for a skin condition with no luck in helping her. I was really excited to see if Dr. Evergreen could help us. I called for a new patient appointment. Dr. Evergreen is not accepting new patients and when I asked if they could refer me to someone else they said, no. I'm extremely disappointed. Not even able to recommend someone to help my kitty who is not feeling well? That feels very contradictory for a clinic that should care about sick animals. I'm in a bit of shock actually. read more

I am pretty sure Dr. Evergreen saved my dog's life. My poor boy suffers from terrible IBS. He was on all these steroids and medications that I worried about his liver health. When I didn't see any improvements I sought out Holistic medicine and I am so glad that I did! Dr Kelli worked on my horses for the first time and was wonderful, she was so patient and kind to my usually nutty mare that has been needing chiropractic work. She did a thorough exam and treatment on the mare and gently fixed her misalignment's. I will take my horse back for follow up treatment as I can see it is already helping. I also had her float the teeth on both horses as well. Very pleased. Update, my mare is doing so much better!!! Much happier and sweet to people. Dr. Hanna is the best! I used her 6+ years ago for acupuncture on my Dalmatian. Now she is providing chiropractic and acupuncture for my horse Sis. She spends as much time as necessary to give the best care possible. She is so calm and good with the animals. I am very interested to try her new horse Yoga program. So progressive! read more

I can not say enough good things about this great Vet. I have the craziest, hyper dog ever and they always work so hard to calm him down and make him feel comfortable. They remember their patients and always give great advice that is above and beyond what a normal vet would do. Over the past few months I have taken my puppy to Dr. Evergreen multiple times, both for routine visits and specific concerns. Each time Dr. Evergreen was very calm and patient with my puppy and handled him gently. He was extremely generous with his time and answered each of my questions thoughtfully and completely. I am the type of person who is generally a bit distrustful of vets and worry they are going to suggest things just to increase my bill. I have rescue pets that are aging. This is the first vet since leaving San Antonio (18 years ago) that I have loved. He was kind and patient and explained options for pain management and dental work. I was prepared for another appointment that would include a dental and a few lump removals instead I got an herbal supplement for pain, and advice on using an ox horn on teeth since the tartar was in an area chewing would take care of. We can review in a year and make a different decision. The prices are less than I've paid in years and to have someone listen and address concerns was beyond worth the price. My pointer rescue was the calmest I've ever seen him outside his own house. Don't hesitate just use Evergreen. read more

I started taking my dog to Dr. Brad Evergreen after my colleague recommended him, because the rescue she volunteers with goes to him to treat rescue dogs. I thought that if the rescue trust him, he must be good and also not charging astronomical prices, since rescues are often very cost conscious. My dog was found having a difficult cancer, and Dr. Evergreen was compassionate and took the time to explain each diagnosis and treatment options, including honest thoughts on cost impacts. I did some cost comparison with other vets, and I know that his charge was very reasonable. You can tell that he and his staff love animals, and it eased the pain of my dog and I went through. Although the location in Monroe is a bit far from where I live, it is worth it, since it means quality treatment for my dog. read more

I am writing this review having never stepped foot in this business. Here is my story. My dog was not feeling well, he had a strange cough that had me a little freaked out.(understatement) I admit I am hyper-sensitive about my dog. I called this vet on accident. I have never taken my dog to this vet but I was under the assumption I called my regular vet. I had not, so when they could not find the file on my dog, again because I have never been there I started to get upset. I am the jerk and I take full responsibility for this. The friendly and professional person on the phone(sweet young lady who's name is can't recall) did her best to help me, again I'm the one who made the mistake. After getting off the phone and being kind of upset(another understatement). I got a phone call back a few hours later, the same nice person called me back. She had found my regular vet office that had all my dogs files and history. I'm writing this as a Thank you for your professionalism and hard work. I just converted from a passive Yelp readership to an active membership to post about the wonderful Dr. Evergreen! We have two dogs we rescued when they were puppies and they are now between 4 and 5 years old. We have traveled extensively with our pets and lived in at least three different locations around the country. In all these years, we have never come across a better vet - he is attentive, non-judgmental and genuinely compassionate. After reading the Evergreen's bio on their clinic website my husband and I are really humbled by the rich and conscientious life the Evergreens live. What an example for all of us. We hope they will remain untarnished as they become more successful - as they are bound to be... Here are some of the reasons I love them: - more time than my own doctor for my dogs! - detailed explanation - not just 'well you won't understand anyway' summaries - acknowledges the sentient nature of beings rather than just an 'animal' - who mostly according to vets: don't feel any pain. I can' start ranting on that last clause, but that's for another post. - believe it or not: really and truly reasonably priced! read more

Dr. Evergreen is incredibly patient and thoughtful when it comes to taking care of my aging dog. He is very knowledgeable pet nutrition and healthy options that work within allergy restrictions. He found non-invasive ways to correct a severe GI problem, and also treat his stage 3 arthritis as well. My old boy is as comfortable as he can be for now, thanks to Dr. Evergreen and his wonderful staff. It's worth the drive! read more
