My goal was to find an off the rack dress that didn't require alterations, if at all possible and was reasonably priced. While I didn't want the big wedding, I still wanted to feel like a bride. I was doing some Yelp searches and though there were a couple of bridal shops nearer to my home in the Puyallup area, when I saw Ivoryology I felt like this was going to be the place to go. I called on a Friday morning asking if we could get in that day and they said yes! I knew exactly where the store would be located as I previously went to school at UW Tacoma -it's in the alley way across from the mattress factory. Parking can be tricky. Coren listened to what I wanted and allowed us to pick out whatever dresses we wanted. The first 2 were stunning, but a little tight around the arms/bust as I'm top heavy. Normally anywhere from a size 10-14, Coren pulled a size 16 of a dress she thought would be perfect-and it was!! I said yes to that dress and then Coren helped me pick out a gorgeous veil to complete the look. I waited to post my review so I could show pictures of the final look (no professional hair and makeup, I just did it myself). Not professional pics -we'll do those later. It's true, the camera adds 10 pounds. And I'm not photogenic. But I'm still so pleased and I felt beautiful. Overall, I was and am so happy with my experience at Ivoryology and with my dress and veil. I would recommend to any soon-to-be bride, whether you need a quick elopement dress or a dress for a giant wedding and reception.

She also made both me and my fiancee feel completely comfortable, safe and cared for during every visit. My second look dress is made completely of beads, making tailoring and alterations incredibly challenging. She did it perfectly speaking to her talent, attention to detail and experience. She also does not up charge for her alterations, and understands that weddings are incredibly expensive, and how impactful it is to have dress alterations not cost an arm and a leg. The cuts were jagged. The sewing was worse than I did in high school home economics. If she was unable to do it, I would have preferred to just have her say that. Refused to refund because we "didn't let her have the option to fix the dress". If you can't do it the first time with a week, how can you fix it in 2 days before homecoming? She was incredibly rude to my child when my child was about to cry because her dress was ruined. We then had to rush to find a dress in 2 days.
