Betty has thought of virtually everything a traveler could need and guests get free reign of the upstairs during their stay. I love that Betty welcomes people to take home unfinished books from her library - "books are meant to be read, not sit on a shelf," she says. Breakfast was made at the prearranged time convenient for us (so appreciated!) and was delicious and abundant. She sat and chatted with us during breakfast and is so personable. We had to depart on a jet plane that afternoon after our 4-day trip to the Evergreen State and had a few bottles of wine that we hadn't enjoyed so I offered them to Betty and she even suggested she could take their value off our bill, although I refused because they were a gift to her for our lovely stay. Would be happy to return to Viewmont Manor if we ever find ourselves back in Bellingham!

We stayed in "The Cottage" and enjoyed the privacy of a porch overlooking a large open field and a view of Mount Baker. Add to that a private hot tub and fire pit and what more could you expect? I guess it would be the well stocked kitchen, spacious grounds and wonderful aroma emanating from the numerous rose bushes that line the lawn area - oh, and the indoor pool, an adjacent large hot tub, and fire pit at which you can mingle with newly acquired friends. Leaving the best for last: The host and hostess are amazing! They accommodated our every need, made us feel at home, and even provided us with S'mores for the fire pit one evening. Yumm! We left Kelowna at 8 am , drove the Coquihalla, Connector in winter conditions. Then visited family in Langley and back to Harrison Hot Springs. Several hours of driving and we were tired and looking forward to relaxing in the hot pools. At 4:30 we arrived and were already an hour and a half past our 3 pm check in time. The check in person just flicked her wrist saying go for a walk or dinner and we'll message you when your room is ready. I explained that were had driven many hours and were tired. She said maybe she could find another room. Flicked her hand again saying go for a walk or dinner. It was pitch black outside . I said we would just wait. While we were waiting I though to check out the pool. Couldn't access the pool without a fob. Waited half an hour. Now 5 pm, 2 hours past our check in time. A lovely valet helped us bring our luggage up to the room. I heard noise coming from our room and therefore didn't opened the door so knocked on the door instead. Another family was in the room. We had been sent to a room that was already in use. Back down to the front desk with the check in people , now 2 of them claiming it wasn't their fault. We were offered a 15 percent discount. So almost two and a half hours after our check in time we finally had a room. Side note. We were cold with only an extremely thin comforter. Asked for a blanket the 2nd night and received an equally thin blanket. No cleaning service, no new towels or refill of the coffee pods. The pools themselves were nice. Be aware that you may receive poor check in service , run down hotel but pleasant outdoor heated mineral.

We arrive around 330 pm and was greet by the hose Dave and their adorable dog and cats. The living room are really clean and cozy. Bedroom was nicely decorated and clean, there were towels, chocolates and handmade soap in the bathroom! ( even a Shea butter bubble bath and candles ) very thoughtful and all the little details are nice. After hotsprinf and dinner about 15 min drive away from Harrison, we were back at the B&B to enjoy the wine we brought, they have fridge, hot water, tea , pop , wine glasses and wine opener. Me and gf had a game of chess with their lovely dog sleeping beside us. There were real wood in the fireplace , very cozy and homey feeling. The next morning the breakfast was ready as time requested, a lot of fresh fruits and homemade bakery. Their coffee was from a local organic roaster shop.great host, great value , quite place to relax. Would definitely come back again in the future.

We loved our stay, including comfortable beds, very clear rooms, garden view and a walk to nearby restaurants for dinner. We visited in October-- and imagine during warmer months the garden would be most lovely!
