They were reviewing their purchases and he proceeded to apprise them of the policy in a condescending tone.They assured him they understood his policy, then shared a private comment between the two of them. (I didn't hear it and I was only feet away.) Rather than let it go, the employee berated them, telling them that they should say it to his face and calling them immature in a room full of people. I walked out immediately, empty handed. I shop a lot of estate sales - A LOT - and this isn't the way to attract or endear customers to you. You certainly lost a buyer today. Matt did a great job on our whole house. In the space of two months he painted every surface in…read morethe house with his assistant...including all of the trim and all of the kitchen cabinets and interior doors. He uses high quality paint (which can add up--but is worth it) and spray enamels trim, doors and cabinets...no brush marks. Most of the pictures he posted are of my kitchen. Only reason I'm taking off a star (i'd only take off 1/2 if I could) is that he didn't quite get the scale of how many total hours the project was. So, even though I moved back my move in date by 2 weeks (for other reasons), he still was finishing things up on move-in day. However, he worked extra weekends and nights leading up to that so that everything was done on time. So he is a man of his word and will get it done one way or the other. That said, I definitely would recommend him. I think he learned a lot from this project about how to plan and estimate how many total hours a very large project like this would take. I'm full confident that he could plan smaller ones (kitchen only,etc) and meet his committed timelines. And again, at the end of the day the quality of the work was excellent.
