The two men were Spanish speakers who understood a little English, but I spent the pandemic becoming fluent in Spanish so we had no issues communicating. (Yay for being bilingual!) They were willing to accommodate my timeline and got the job done at the low end of their estimated time to finish. Gaby, the project manager, responded to all my questions and concerns promptly and the crew left a thoroughly clean work place behind them. I have no complaints with the quality of work. Color is even throughout, caulking is smooth, and they painted 'within the lines'. They weren't the cheapest, but they were far from the priciest. Having never worked with a remodeling contractor before, I could only go in the beginning with my…read moreimpressions of Mr. Gula. What I can say, is that from the beginning, he seemed not only very knowledgeable, but dedicated and very enthusiastic about his work. The contract that was developed and I signed was thorough, and offered main level remodeled trim, paint, doors and walls that I decided to add in addition to the main work of remodeling the kitchen, putting in hardwood floors, and redoing our stairs so they were hardwood as well. The project once it began took two months. It would have been shorter but for the fact it was over the Christmas and New Year holiday. What I want to say more than anything else is how very pleased I am with my new house. It is beautiful. The kitchen has new granite countertops, cabinets, and backsplash that are still a delight to behold. But the trim work and new doors throughout the main level are truly stunning. It was given all enamel painting and is beautiful. Mr. Gula also agreed to add a replacement of our front door for a very reasonable price.
