I found this immensely beneficial, since some places just leave you doing little or nothing every day. The rooms look like The Four Seasons Hotel! I was in a room of my own...all hardwood, large windows with water views, a nurse with no more than seven patients. Lots of rehabilitation work, but everyone is very attentive. My nurse was phenomenal. There are no meal menus. An attendant comes to your room with a wheeling computer cart, and reads you menu suggestions, but you are always free to voice your own choices and wishes. Food was delicious. There's so much detail to every single thing here! If you HAVE to be somewhere, it's a terrible catastrophe, but being at Spaulding, Charlestown is the best!

She developed bed sores from staying in bed all day without moving. They even threatened her saying they would put her on the permanent floor if she didn't move, but they never ever helped her up. She was put in there for rehab but was never rehabilitated. Every time we went up there, we found pills on the floor when they claimed that they gave her the pills, send her in food but didn't really care if she ate it and let her sit in feces for HOURS. At the end, they transferred her to the psych ward, which was even worse. At least they had the decency to call us about her passing. Do not send your loved ones here please!

In 2010 I was rear ended by a tractor-trailer and was in so much pain. It was horrible. I searched for a chiropractor in my neighborhood and found Dr. H. His treatment is so precise and he helped me recover from the trauma of the accident. He is also vastly knowledgeable in his field and was able to answer any questions I had. I recently moved to NH but I still go to him whenever I need adjustments. In fact, I had been having numbness on the right side of my head, he adjusted my neck yesterday and I woke up today feeling so much better. He is very highly recommended!

I ended up going to the emergency room and they sent me to an orthopedic doctor who told me that he couldn't find anything wrong with me and wanted to put me on muscle relaxers. I left there and did some research on back care and found Dr. Haberstroh. When I saw Dr. Haberstroh I asked him to do his own x-rays because I didn't trust the orthopedic, which he did. He showed me in the x-rays that there was something wrong with my back and neck and then proceeded to give me chiropractic care. As soon as he adjusted me I felt great and I could finally move my neck and walk without pain. From that point on I haven't stopped seeing Dr. Haberstroh. Since then I have been seeing him for regular care and when my neck and back flair up I see him more often. He's amazing, he's the best chiropractor there is, I've recommended people to him and they are always happy with his services.

My father was supposed to go there for a few weeks for physical therapy. As soon as you walk in, there is a strong smell of urine. My father was on the second floor. The staff are uncaring and didn't even talk to the patients when they were taking care of them. One of the nursing assistants was even moving my father's broken arm around to try and take his blood pressure. I had to tell him that my father's arm was broken and to stop. He didn't know. They don't pay attention to the patients and they wander the halls all day going in and out of other patients rooms. I found one going through my father's drawers. We sent clothes with him, but he always had on someone else's things. My father went downhill fast and even stopped eating. They let him sit all day in soiled diapers. He got a bed sore. When the nurse called me about it, she tried to downplay it and told me that they were going to give him oral antibiotics to try and heal it. After everything I saw there, I told them to send him back to the hospital immediately. The hospital staff told me that the sore was so big and deep, that you could see his bone. They had to repeatedly surgically remove the dead tissue and try and get the infection under control. The Dr's at the hospital said that it should never have gotten that bad. My father was at Everett Rehab for less than a week. He ended up dying about two weeks later. DO NOT SEND ANYONE THERE THAT YOU CARE ABOUT!

Patients are assigned a nurse and are told they cannot see the supervising doctor. As a veteran with a disability, I was treated poorly, and they didn't even check my allergy list. You will wait for endless hours, only to be sent home with a bill. I strongly advise avoiding this place and its fake positive reviews. I filed formal complaints, but the hospital ignored them and sent me to collections. They are a scam, and it makes me sad because they used to be a great hospital system.
