The three of us participated, and my wife and sister-in-law came to watch. This was actually a fun time. It runs $20 for an hour, but they provide an "Axe-pert" to make sure you understand safety and learn where to stand and how to throw. Gabe was super-friendly and went through the rules quickly. He then spent 10-15 minutes making sure the three of us knew how to throw and could at least occasionally stick an axe. By the end of our training, Gabe made it clear that we were all close. One's axe throw if the same mechanically once you get going, but where you stand will determine whether or not your blade bounces or sticks. Once the training ends, THEN your one hour clock starts. To be honest, an hour is a long time to repeatedly throw an axe at a board. It does not get boring, but that repetitive motion with a weighted item will slow you down by the end of an hour. We managed to get through a game of 5 rings, 64, and 21 in our hour's time. The place was not overly busy, so they gave us an additional five minutes to finish our game of 21. My sister-in-law was wary at first, but when we finished she noted how glad she was that we did this. My nephew had not smiled like that for a long time, and he was genuinely excited to play. This is not a cheap activity, but you will get your $20 worth once you get to play a few games. The friendly staff and great atmosphere (hearing axes hitting and sticking or bouncing from many lanes creates a sense of excitement. I highly recommend that folks give this a try.

I was fortunate enough to have the daughters room, with a clawfoot tub, a fireplace, and a private balcony. Everything was well thought out and appointed. Fresh cookies and coffee awaited the weary traveler. Breakfast was a delightful affair that came in gentle waves of delicious presentations of local wares. My favorite was the Dutch baby pancake and the yogurt from Clover Meadows! I did not get to experience the town but it looks like it would be worth driving off the beaten path to.

From the moment I first connected with Randy to check availability, to his gracious and warm greeting at the front door and through to our last good-bye, it was evident that his goal was to make our stay a memorable one. He succeeded in his objective far beyond our already high expectations. The public areas, our room with all the attention to details, not to mention the amazing 3 course healthy and delicious breakfast, all added to a most enjoyable time. There are many reasons people own B&B's. We just came from one the previous evening that was nice, but it was also apparent that money was a driving motivator. Randy is a businessman - and a very good B&B businessman at that - but we were made to feel as though profitability was simply a byproduct of an extra-ordinary stay. This claim is further substantiated by the crazy low rate he charges for his rooms! I hesitated to write this review because I selfishly don't want others to know of this little gem of a place but writing these heartfelt thoughts is the least I can do to show my appreciation for the wonderful night we spent at the Stewart Inn. Thanks, Randy and Sara. WE WILL BE BACK!

Honestly I only stayed here because their prices were reasonable compared to my usually Holliday Inns in town (which for some reason have been crazy high of late). Looks like I may be changing my habits! The room was clean and very spacious. The one I stayed in had a hot tub and a (electric) fireplace. Price included free breakfast delivered from a nearby coffee shop. The food needs to be ordered at night and you pick it up the next morning in lobby. There is a pool and hot tub, but you do have to take a separate elevator to get to it. The hotel itself in interesting. You take one elevator to get to the first 4 floors, another to get to the 5th and, like I said, a 3rd one to get to the pool and adjoining buildings. TV's are nice, but have limited cable. We like to try different pizza places on our road trips and Sam's was getting great reviews. We are not disappointed! The restaurant gives a quaint nostalgic feel to when we were kids. There's a little arcade, spacious seating area with open viewable cook area. We were greeted right away and welcomed to choose our own seating. There were a few families already seated but the wait staff was very tentative and we got our drink order in right away. After a few minutes with the menu and a bathroom break for the kids, we ordered. Our pizza fries came out and they were hot and beautiful cooked. The crust was crispy and fluffy, cheese melted with just the right amount of garlic salt. My son ordered some of their new wings. They came out a little after the pizza fries. Unfortunately, being a new item they're probably still working out the kinks but the middle of the wings were cold. Our pizza came out and I told the wait staff and asked if they could put them in the microwave. He said he would take them back. Our waitress came back and was apologetic and said they would make us another batch for here or they could box them up to go. We got them to go since we're working with our three year old on sitting nicely and he was not having it. We got our bill and they were so kind, they took the wings off our bill which they did not have to do but it was very much appreciated. We've been to restaurants where constructive criticism was not received well but we're humbled that there is still an established that knows how to treat their patrons right. Thanks you for providing us with a warm welcome, delicious food and great service.
