Running a business and knowing your craft are 2 completely different things. Just because you have television commercials, it doesn't mean you run a good business. Everdry hires people with little or no experience to LEAD work crews. The crew members appear to be provided with little or no training. The work they do is laborious and crews are not provided the proper tools or equipment to do this very hard physical labor. Still using the same equipment they used 47 years ago to do the same job. Imagine if you did your job the same way they did it 47 years ago. "But that's the way we have always done it!" The work these guys do is back breaking and terrible on its own. Not providing equipment that could make a job a easier, is just not going to help to project. Nope, go old spade shovel and manpower. Nobody is going to stick around long having to do this work. Any individual is going to be limited physically to the amount of time their bodies can handle this labor. Mentally they are going to quit a quarter of the way through the job and just get through. 4 guys digging a 3 foot deep by 1.5 foot wide trench around the exterior of a home and digging a 6x6x3 foot dry well all by hand is back breaking. Give someone a crummy task to do with crummy equipment and you will get a crummy result. For us, it has been a crummy result after 4 tries. Yes! 4 times. Been trying to get things right for 5 years! Since covid and 2020. Come to find out before the 4th try, they never even came close to installing the proper drainage system including not using pvc that was needed for the project. The front office does not know what the boots on the ground are doing and the boots on the ground don't know what the front office is doing. We were told by a regional manager, before the 4th attempt to get things corrected, they had to replace 90% of their team members and they were trying to correct something like 58 projects in the Columbus area. That is a lot of messed up projects and angry customers! Those of you that gave them more than 1 star, you probably don't even know if they did your project correctly or to the instructed specs they were supposed to. They didn't do that to ours. And when it is underground covered by soil or recovered by concrete, how do you really know if it was done correctly? Especially when then end project by visual appears looks like crap. Which reminds me... The sewage story... When Everdry did the first go round of work. They put their "system" into the basement flooring. This was to prevent water from leaking in through small cracks and the expansion joints in the concrete. They cut around the exterior edge of the floor about a foot wide. Removed the gravel and replaced it with "their" gravel along with a pvc system. Then concreted over the top. In the process, they removed the sewage line cap in the floor and gravel fell down into the line. This caused a sewage backup and human feces being spewn over the basement floor. When this was reported to the Everdry manager in charge, his response was, "That is not our gravel. We use a different gravel." Are you serious? Yep. I could share our horrible experiences with you for hours. But I have used up all my space. Please, learn from our horrible experience. You have been warned. The best part of all of this? We have come to believe that all of this was never even necessary. A slick sales job convinced us to do thousands of dollars worth of work. We believe the real cause to this entire mess was simply a very clogged eve draining directly into 1 specific area outside our home causing excess water to collect around that specific exterior section of the house. Lessons we learned, 1. You will never get good work from a bad business. 2. Never forget lesson #1. 3. Clean out your eves! 4. Get more than one business to inspect and quote your problem. 5. It is now Oct 15 and the work is not complete and my basement is wet and covered in a thick layer of dust (it is finished - so it is a catastrophe). I agree with other folks saying 0 starts twice. THey have hard workers, but do not train them, do not have adequate supplies, they ask THE CUSTOMER what to do, because they do not know! I have tar on my house. I never had actual water in my basement for some time, now I get puddles. They have been out 4 times already... still not resolved. They don't train their people on how to do concrete. I had to scrub my driveway so concrete did not permanently adhere to it. I could go on and on and on, but I will just attach photos. OH - I don't know what the office staff does, but messages rarely get delivered. Maybe that is part of the scam. Replaced all our drain tile in the basement from 4 inch drain tile to 3 inch with "new clean rocks!". Do better, EverDry. We hired EverDry to stabilize our home. They promised to re-set beams, fix the cove shield, re-cement the basement, tear out and regrade the patio, and reinstall our sump pump. Sounds solid, right? It wasn't. Here's what we actually got: Our sump pump was removed and never returned. The pump they left us with wasn't even connected properly--backups happen regularly. Pipes are either not pitched right or not making it to the street. There's a possible hole under our patio. Our back door step needs redone. Blocked windows were just dropped off, not installed. Wood is rotting. Mold spray was never applied. Structural beams? Not all replaced. Basement walls? Still unstable. A secondary pump was never installed. We're raising two kids with disabilities (CP and Autism) in this home. Safety isn't optional for us--it's everything. And EverDry left our home less safe, less functional, and far more stressful than before. The worst part? I highly recommend Everydry Columbus. The inspector thoroughly explained what he had found and what their solution would be. The foreman of the team that came to do the work explained thoroughly what they were going to do each day. Jay answered all my questions. One item was not completed on the last day (not Jay's crewman) and Zack came out and took care of it and thoroughly explained what he did. They had worked in the mud due to the 5 inches of snow beginning to melt. They cleaned up the basement as good as they could but it was still messy. When I questioned it they sent Zach out to clean it up. Again he explained what he was going to do and did a great job of it. I highly recommend Everydry Columbus. read more

12/16: I have not had work done by this company, but I wish I would have seen the reviews on this company, just so I was warned. 1st red flag: upon calling them initially, they assumed I had a spouse and asked if "he" would be home. Why are we assuming anything in this day and age? I heard companies like this want a man in the house during the sale because apparently women can't make decisions? 2nd red flag: they had a guy come out at 8pm. I thought it was a little weird for being so late, but said fine and thought it'd be a quick estimate. Nope. He was here until midnight!! Not joking. I think their tactic is to get you in that vulnerable timeframe. Fast forward... before I know it, I'm so stressed about my basement and it's already 11pm, I agree to move forward and start signing. 3rd red flag: I wake up this morning (12/17) and decide I am going to cancel (as we legally have that right) and get more estimates (don't judge me that I didn't do this in the 1st place). I get told by a lady named Brittney that "we have to have someone come to your house to have you sign that you're cancelling and we want our blue folder back". I tell her it's not necessary to have anyone come out here and bullying me into getting paperwork signed is going to cause me to contact the A.G. I tell her they can email me what they need from me or have me sign an e-document. Brittany would not stop pushing that they "have" to have someone come out here. She was confrontational and aggressive to say the least. PLEASE do research and don't do the dumb thing I did. They were also kicked off the BBB. Way too many customer complaints that were never addressed and fixed. I cannot fathom using this company, period. **UPDATE** 12/18 I did a lot of research for this one... if you're still here, you're a champ Yesterday, they were called once again around 4pm, and only after it was my brother that called, did they "allow me" to get out the contract I stupidly signed (the sales guy did tell me I had 3 days to cancel and I was given that cancellation form beforehand). My brother asked to speak with a supervisor, who immediately knew about me, as I called quite a few times. He then has the audacity, multiple times, to ask if I'd take this review offline. They will offer you a discount if you allow work to begin with a 24-48 hour notice. This is a tactic they use to get equipment into your residence so you cannot get out of the contract. One of those pieces of equipment is the EZ Breathe, which I found out is basically a bathroom exhaust fan (they charge $1,500). They will then give you 3 routes for this project: Outside, inside, or both. They will tell you they have a patent on it. Waterproofing your basement doesn't require outside work. Be aware that they will bring out a little black box and set it up in both your basement and upstairs. He told me it was an air test and that the results were going to come back soon after. Which I should have known is bogus considering the results of a radon test takes multiple days to come back. The results scared me big time. Another scare tactic... they bring out a "mold test" that turns purple for a positive mold reading, but like a small drug test kit the police have in the field, it's just another scare tactic (that unfortunately worked on me). When all of this information was passed onto the supervisor, they didn't deny anything. In addition, even after all the "discounts" they tried to give me, they were still the most expensive quote I received (I had 4 in total). A lot of these reviews also talk about them not finishing their work, or anytime there is an issue they don't address or fix. There are so many reasons I am unhappy with this company, but the main one is the company's refusal to respond to my multiple e-mails and phone calls regarding my concerns. Initially, my service was to take place mid-August, giving me time to prepare. However, I was called on July 10th and informed they would be there the next day to begin. I explained that my basement was full of stuff and I hadn't had the chance to move it yet, but the person calling reassured me that he was bringing out a team to move my things for me, but they needed to get the work done. I acquiesced, somewhat reluctantly. Most of the workers were respectful and har-working that first day, (other than the 2 outside digging up the flowerbeds in front of my house, who were talking and joking around most of the time--they were unaware apparently that I was on the other side of the wall where they were working). I had been promised that my plants would be taken up carefully and replanted without problems, and that everything would be returned to it's prior state. Unfortunately, the majority of my plants were killed, including some I very specifically pointed out as needing to be very carefully dug up and then replanted. I even took the responsibility of replanting most of the plants myself. However, I watched as they chopped up one large plant that I had pointed out as important, and then they argued with me that it was a weed. (It was a peony, large and healthy), and saw them cut through the roots and toss aside the other plant that I had pointed out repeatedly as being very important to me. There were several cans and bottles left around my yard, a huge roll of plastic sheeting, lots of plant matter they dug up and threw aside, and several bricks they had moved. I had tried to put the bricks back in place, but was told two different times not to, that doing so was their responsibility and they were going to do it. They never did. They dug up a brick patio and were supposedly going to bring in a bunch of topsoil to build up around that part of the foundation, but still have not done so. Tar was smeared on the side of my house. A box of plastic pipe was left in my driveway, a gazing ball was broken and then left in my yard, along with other ornaments from the flowerbeds (so much for putting everything back as it was!), hoses were left out, part of a pet cage was thrown out, making the rest of it useless, yet a ton of trash was left behind. Again, I have emailed and called multiple times. I have yet to hear back, although someone did come back for the roll of plastic sheeting and the box of supplies, wiped the tar off the wall, and picked up a couple of things left in the middle of the lawn. That was it. I am so displeased with the way things have turned out, and my neighbors haven't loved the mess either! I 100% regret using EverDry. * I should also add that I was not informed until the job was "done" that in order for the sumps to work, I would need to call an electrician to have new electric run and a new outlet put in that corner of the basement. This is an added cost that should have been made clear before-hand. We've had three estimates done on our basement issues this week. Two of them came in at under $2000. Everdry came in at $40,000. This is a scam operation where they send a slicky-boy salesman to your house to convince you they have to rebuild your whole house instead of replacing a sump pump. Then if you don't agree, they'll call you to tell you you've been magically selected for a special discount. Every real waterproofing company you talk to will hear the name and roll their eyes. My basement had water entering and I contacted Ohio State waterproofing. They put me in Touch with (NEVERDRY) of Findlay. salesman sold me the multi-step system with lots of promises.... will do a diversion system under the decks, will come out after addition to install additional perimeter drains, etc. Quote was 22928 but offered 1500 discount for flexible scheduling. EZ breathe system was installed 2 weeks prior to work.... I thought that was temporary as nothing was secure.... was left as is... 51 points of incompetency sent to lawyer.... refused to sign off on satisfied with job and canceled pay on check... I want my $200 deposit back! Estimates to correct their damage at $25,000. Exterior drains are 9 inches not 18-24 inches. They are 6-18 inches short of where they were to start and ends of tube filled with dirt.... heavy duty industrial grade "J" channels are sandwich bag thickness and not J shaped. mastic attached to previous failed waterproofing attempts. Drywell is a clay well.... piping runs uphill, no gravel in drywell, just my sod and topsoil with clay packed on top.... perimeter drain in basement backfilled with 60 year old concrete debris and stinks to high heavens.... cement job looks like crap and not level and all corners dip an inch below level no dust or dirt cleaned up, had to have home professionally cleaned to remove dust from upstairs Sump pump illegally (against EPA and city ordinances) tied into sanitary sewer drain... now have sewage backing into my basement Cracks repaired as follows: bead of caulk in crack, next toddler smooths with pain brush, third toddler takes dirty fingers to area... lol, should have asked neighborhood preschool class to come over for a fun day l installation... skipped all steps bet stick to wall and don't bother with 4 inches under waffle board (no one will ever go behind and rip it off, lol) Will have to have their crap jackhammered out and real drains put in.... they really effed up my basement!!!! Oh, and the cement they put in..... gaps and holes and not level with existing floor....NIGHTMARE So, have not downloaded from phone the pictures of a fence post wrapped to the house in plastic.... too much trouble to go behind so they wrapped the post and cement in plastic and continued around the house!!!!!! This review isn't about their work, but concerning their warranty. We had work done on our home by Everdry in January 2020. They warranty their work as long as you pay the annual warranty fee once you receive an invoice each year. Well, each year we call to ask about our invoice and like this year, same story that they had problems with their invoices. Is this a method to deter customers from paying for the annual warranty renewal in order to charge them for future work that would have been warranted had they paid their annual warranty renewal? Why is it each year we must contact them asking for our warranty invoice. I have a notion to report this practice as it happens every year since our work was completed. read more

They came by my door last year and offered a free appointment. I agreed and took a morning off from work. That morning they called to ensure my wife would be present at the meeting, and I told them no - she would not have any interest in attending the meeting. So they canceled and told me to reschedule at a time when we both could be present. That's a red flag in my opinion. Completely incompetent!!! They went to an 88 yr. old woman's house as she ask to have her sump pump replaced. Their "supervisor" was on the job and said the pump was fine, said she needed an electrician to solve the problem. Electrician came and wanted $2000.00 (NOT A TYPO). I jumped in and pulled the pump. I couldn't believe my eyes.....burnt electrical wiring under water. A highly dangerous situation. If she had hired the electrician she would have wasted 2 grand, this is how elderly get taken every day. I replaced the pump for $96. and my 20 minutes, no charge. TLDR: they over promise and underdeliver! Worst customer service. EverDry is one of the worst companies we have ever worked with. We chose EverDry because they seemed to have the best solution and they appeared to be a great company up until a few months ago. They started our "two day" job in mid December 2022 and it is still not complete. The lack of communication is unreal amongst the company. There is no management in the office available for phone calls during business hours and they won't give cell numbers. But good luck getting them to call you back. We have been promised they would make our situation right but so far the field supervisor failed- never came back as promised, didn't communicate full scope of work to crew upon 3rd revisit. I then called and asked to speak with someone higher in the company and after 3 days I got a call that he was going to come out and get things taken care of.... Here we are almost 2 weeks later and I haven't received a call even though i have followed up. They charge top prices and do bare minimum work and the WORST customer service I have ever worked with (mostly because there is none). They are quick to collect money but not quick to do the job. I would strongly suggest going to any other company. We hired Everdry to waterproof our basement. They did it in a very messy but timely fashion. They did not tell us that we would be responsible for replacing the carpeting and baseboards when the job was done. Not only that but our walls and some of the baseboards had cement on them which I tried to chip off. I had to completely repaint our basement after they were done with the job. We recently called them back out because we have still had to use a dehumidifier non stop with all of the moisture down there. I thought the whole purpose of spending 15K was not to have to do this?! They apparently installed the exhaust system the wrong way and have to come replace the protective wall barrier because we have mold on our walls....such a HUGE waste of OUR time and money! Glenn reached out to me via cell while he was working at the Home and Garden show nearly two weeks ago. We spoke for about 30 minutes. The job for confirming appointments sounded interested, so we agree to an interview on the following Tuesday at 11am. I arrived, interviewed and during the interview words such as commitment, satisfaction, integrity, responsivity were pitched. I was told several times that I would be invited back for a second interview to meet with the rest of the office staff and that the second round of interviews would be scheduled Thursday and Friday of that same week. I sent Glenn a text on Thursday asking if the second round of interviews were made. Silence. No response. Ghosted. Okay. I get it. I was fed hyperbole, which many employers are using and ghosting is here to stay!! I care little to not have received a second interview. I just know that EveryDry is not a company I will ever do business with. People do take time out of their schedule either for a home inspection for the product or for an interview and the common courtesy of a reply goes a long way. My foundation is shifting and they say they only half of my basement is covered. Do not use them, three separate visits to look at the damage over 30 days, only to tell me that they wont stand by their system. Very disappointing at a 25K cost. read more

The previous owner had this company come out to fix water and foundation wall issues before she put it on the market. Then we bought the house. It's true that we haven't had water come in on that wall, but we had another basement company (the truly awesome and affordable MBR) come to do the other 3 walls after 21 years of ownership. They insisted they do the Everdry wall since there was mold behind the sheeting. It turns out that the I beams Everdry installed to stabilize the one foundation wall were not reinforced as they should have been, or backfilled with concrete to stabilize them, and one I beam was only in the floor about 2" deep. MBR couldn't reuse that one, Everdry just gave us the shaft. I'm not bothering to pursue this issue with Everdry, judging by their BBB ratings, nothing will happen regardless. But I had a real company come out and everything is fixed beautifully. read more

Forman told me one my walls was interior so it didn't need done. When you can clearly see the ground outside of the window. 2.was never told hot water tank needed moved. 3. I called six month later asking what was going on they told me it's not their job to call. 5.gas company came out and told them they had to dig around line anyway 6.was told they would be back to do interior wall not done. After two return trips for repairs our basement is still not back together. The inside perimeter floor is not smooth and does not match the level to existing floor. The seam shows very badly after we sanded and painted. The exterior drains had to be reconfigured as too much water from the one outlet where three lines were tied together eroded a large hole in the yard. Backfill is still settling after more than a month and needs more fill. We haven't had much rain to test for leakage of water. We are overall dissatisfied with the shoddy and less than professional quality of labor for the exorbitant cost of the service. Poor workmanship and lack of supervision. Wouldn't recommend this company. Make sure you get several estimates from other waterproofers. read more

The Salesperson that came to my house oversold the scope of the work that was to be performed in my basement and the Forman on the job under deliver. I felt the work was rushed. Salesperson said the work would take about a week. The crew told me they were done in two days. They did not complete the scope of the job that was promised by the sale person that was sent out by EveryDry Waterproofing. I told the salesperson my main concern was with a wall in my basement. The basement was built in 1923. Some of the River rock in the wall was showing and the cement had crumbled away. I wanted this wall repaired. I also had water seeping under the wall into the basement when we got heavy amounts of rain in a short period. I also mentioned that I got moisture in many cracks on my floor. The salesperson said they would resurface my damage wall with a stucco product, cut into my patio, reseal the outside wall and add a mastic material to the wall. They would also reseal my floor. I asked if they were going to seal all the flooring and walls in my basement. The salesperson said yes, plus they would install their Multi-Step patent system to my basement for $19,000. He show me and explained what they would do to waterproof my basement. It was going to be a lot of time and labor . I feel, I did not get everything that was promised. The wall that I was mostly concerned about did not get repaired or sealed. The Forman did not want to do the work that the salesperson told me would be done . The work I paid for. He did not seal the whole floor . He put some cement on two cracks. EverDry sent a Supervisor to my house after I complained to the company about not being satisfied with the work performed at my house . I have had issues since having them redo my basment waterproofing. The work seems shotty and they never want to come fix their mistakes. Right now they gave me the option of dropping stuff off to fix it ( pipes they supported with a broken brick from my yard) myself or wait 4 weeks. The business is about .5 miles from my house.... If you have problems/emergencies on the weekends they have no service. This is not just one occasion. Another occasion includes pipes coming apart that we had to fix as it was over a weekend and cleaning up the water that whole mess made. We have also have had back ups with the pumps. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I could write a book as to why. They busted a major pipe in my basement then tried to tell me it was It was like that before they got there, even though I had photos to prove otherwise. A manager laughed when I explained the situation over the phone. The owner of the local franchise, Caryn, promised to refund $1,250. That check has yet to arrive. When you order service, you can have it good, fast, or cheap and usually you only get to pick two. Everdry of Columbus wasn't cheap. Make sure you get competitive quotes for similar services. They were fast, the job was quoted for one week and it was done in under three days. Good depends on your point of view. For example, the sales process didn't mention the 9.99% interest on financing. During the quoting process, little things like we were responsible for removing baseboard along the walls was skipped. Also overlooked was the six to eight week period of waiting to put the basement back together. The installers were polite and hardworking. But speed comes at a cost. The baseboards were destroyed, concrete was splattered on the painted walls, mold on the walls was not cleaned, just covered over with their wallboard, the wall board was not tightly affixed to the walls, dust from the work was not cleaned up on the inside. Outside, plants were damaged or destroyed, the driveway was covered with cement remnants and cigarette butts littered the lawn. In terms of post support service, I'm not impressed. When you close the job, you are handed the telephone to talk to an office person. During this conversation, I asked for a copy of the contract and maintenance agreement to be emailed to me. I had the basement of my 70 yr old home waterproofed on 5/6/14. The full process took 3 days, they dug out and sealed around the homes foundation and also completely redesigned the drainage for my gutters, took everything out to the street which is very convenient getting rid of all downspouts. They also had to remove concrete around the boarder of the basement, drill holes for drainage and install new plumbing and a sump-pump (which has been working a lot due to all this rain we're getting) I couldn't believe how much they did in such a short period of time. I was disappointed in the sales agent and project coordinator who both said they'd be back during the project to check in on things. They never showed, if they aren't going to follow through, don't bother making the statement. Also, the fact that I had to clean up after they left, was a bit frustrating. There was a layer of dust on everything and I'd done a "great job" (their words) of clearing out the space for them and they covered it with plastic when they initially arrived. Had Everdry come out to give an estimate to repair leaky basement. After performing the inspection and sitting down to complete the estimate ($15,000), he began the full court press. We told him we wanted to get a few more estimates and then would decide. Finally, he said we wouldn't get a better deal, that he was leaving for Hawaii with his family the next day, and that he really needed our signed contract immediately. So much for Everdry! read more

I have been frustrated with Everdry. Bill Barrett was the salesman and he gave us a written estimate stating everything that would be done. When the men came who were going to actually do the job they said what we were told was not correct and they would fix our basement but not with some of the specifics we were told. Bill Barrett also listed in his diagram things to be done that I was told the company did not do. After talking with the workers they got a supervisor involved they agreed to do what Bill Barrett had agreed to but indicated that was something they would normally never agree to do because it involved in channeling water away from our retaining wall and they only did basement work. The actual workers were polite, worked hard, and went over everything daily with us. Bill Barrett also gave us paperwork indicating that if we were satisfied with the work the workers did and gave a positive evaluation within a specific time period we would be reimbursed $25.00. I did the evaluation and never was reimbursed. I called three times about this and each time was told it was a clerical error and a check would be in the mail but it never came. About 5 weeks after the job a Mr. Jim Zury, Quality Assurance Manager for Every Dry, came to our house to review the job done in our home. He made a list of items that needed followed up on and improved and told us within a week we would receive a call from Ever Dry to have the team return and correct items that needed improved. I also shared with Mr. Zury that we had not been paid for our recommendation and he said he would take care of that as well. Three weeks passed and no one called. I called Mr. Zury but did not get an answer. I texted Jim Zury and indicated I wanted to talk with him to follow-up on improvements that needed done that he found inadequate. I got no response. I called Ever Dry today and asked to speak to Mr. Zury and was told he was out of the country but would be returning Monday 1/13/20. I asked to please transfer me to Mr. Zury's voice message so I could leave him a message to call me as he had promised follow-up and it did not happen. When I did get transferred I my called was transferred not to Mr. Zury but to some female employee of Ever Dry. At this point I am extremely frustrated because: 1) the salesman was not well versed in what would be done and he assured us our furnace oil tank, water pressure tank, and water softer position on the floor would not be a problem and the workers would work around them and once the workers got here we found out that was not at all correct. Mr. Barrett also told us there would be a French Drain or dry well put in our yard for water to go into, he showed us where that would most likely be located, and we found out that was also not going to be used. 2) Mr. Zury assured us we would get a call to correct quality control issues and that never happened. 3) Repeated calls about follow-up and the reimbursement were never followed through. A number of years ago I had my basement waterproofed by Everdry and this included installation of a sump pump. At the time I also agreed to a yearly warranty fee to insure there would be no future problems. I cancelled this warranty fee last year due to shoddy workmanship in repairing several leaks in my basement one of which is still leaking. Last week the backup battery alarm on the sump pump began beeping so I called Everdry since they were the original installers. To my surprise they refused to send someone out to make repairs unless I reinstated the yearly warranty fee! This is blackmail and discrimination and has been reported to BBB! read more
