At first I was disappointed to not being able to read articles related to the virus because online you can only read 3 articles and then you must subscribe. Except not that you can read virus related articles for free. However it took about ten emails with Stephanie, very persistent lady that helped us to enable the feature without subscribing. Again I tried to get my refund back from the Post and courier!!! Took it out at the fair on November 4 Didn't receive it until November 13th a day late! I called Nov 15 and they said that every paper would be a day late I said I like to cancel it and still December 17 still have not received my refund just got off the phone with them and they said it hopefully will be here before the new year 2020 read more

No star is closer than one. After sending me a quarterly bill in March in which thy had hiked my subscription by 18%, I called the paper to complain. After all, I could open a new account at a lower price than what I was paying prior to the hike. They agreed to 'grandfather' the existing rate on my subscription. I sent the payment (old rate) off to them the middle of March. They received it; they deposited the check. Today, April 27, there was no paper. i called the paper, and they said the grace period for unpaid subscriptions expired yesterday; that's why I received no paper today. I explained that I had paid and that they had received payment. The rep checked and found that when I complained about the rate hike they had opened a new account and the money I had paid for subscription renewal had not been transferred to the new account. Glad we figured the while hoohah out, but why the hell don't you check on this stuff, P&C, and notify me, an 11-year subscriber, if you have not received payment? The only thing you can think to do is cut of my service? Execrably bad customer service by a company that doesn't quite get the fact that they need all the customers they can get. Oh, snd when I asked that today's paper be delivered to me, she said that can't be done, because the delivery cut-off time is 9:30 am. My response was that if they truly valued my patronage and they were really sorry for their clerical error, they could put somebody in a car and drive it here to me. Do not waster your time on this paper. Ordered it 10 days ago for a daily delivery, and to receive one paper. Their disingenuous hurried multiple staff members ( three phones to them, and same answer every time), say the same thing. "we'll put on delivery for tomorrow." NO! I want my paper 10 days ago. 1st, I'm sorry that I don't have the option in NO STARS with this review. Next, we don't even order the P&C, but I'm tired of complaining and seeing nothing get done - so social media it is! We live in a neighborhood off of CFR. The driver delivers at about 5:30am. However, he needs to be pulled off of this route. He FLYS through these neighborhoods at excess speed, barely slowing down at a curve, and definitely not slowing down at speed bumps. It's dark outside and he has no regard for anyone or anything. There will be a runner or biker that he will strike, or even another car because he doesn't slow down for anyone! We have reported this to the P&C before; in fact 2 times, but he's still working for them. We have called the police (Charleston & Berkeley Co.) both times as well, but here he is - still driving. Last, I'm glad we have documentation of this and ALL of our reports. Because if it's my loved one that gets hit, there's going to be a BIG fight ahead of them! read more

Horrible customer service. I put a hold on my newspaper for 3 days. The 4th day, when it was to restart, no paper. I called and after being on hold for over 10 minutes, they apologized and said they would bring one out. I called again 1 1/2 hours later. Waited on hold for 10 minutes and left a message with the operator. 2 hours later I called again. Turns out the late deliverer is already done so no paper. I asked for a refund and they said no. However they would extend my subscription by one day. This is a horrible run delivery service. Do not subscribe as you will be disappointed! read more

Uh, rrrrrrrrrrrrrright... Not too sure what that last review was about, but P&C does a good job of covering local/state/regional/national/world news. I think, especially for it's size, they do a great job of writing interesting stories and articles that are informative and entertaining. One of my favorite things the paper does, comes out every Sunday. They have pictures of fish caught by local people in the back of the sports. Pretty cool. read more

Terrible customer service. This is now the second time, in the last few weeks, that I've woken up to find that my Sunday paper has not been delivered. The first time this happened the paper ended up being delivered on Monday. I had emailed the customer service but never got a response. Working night shift means that there is no representative to call since they close at 9am. So I have resorted to sending an email once again. If you're looking for a newspaper subscription better spend your money elsewhere. read more

Were it not for the local news, real estate section and Total Wine coupons, I would not subscribe to this poor excuse for a one day behind newspaper. I moved to Charleston form Columbia, where The State Newspaper had me spoiled with well-written timely articles, an extensive sports section, high quality editorial pages, a great selection of comics and a user-friendly E-Edition. The P&C is lagging behind in all the aforementioned areas. Some articles are incomplete, some are repeated on subsequent days, typos are frequent. Who is proofreading? I hate the new version of the E-Edition that I use on my frequent travels. The E-Edition was more user friendly until I updated the app and got intrusive ads that squeeze out news and won't go away until I tell you why I deleted the ad. You also made it impossible for the reader to touch an article and have only that article fill the screen. The white arrows are opaque and redundant when I can just swipe to the next page on the screen. My advice to The Post and Courier: 1. Study The State Newspaper and Atlanta Journal to get a clue. 2. Go back to your original E-Edition and fire whoever "improved" it. 3. Charleston deserves better. You KNOW you can do better read more

Where is the follow up on headline news? The couple that ended up in a collision with an 18 wheeler on Hwy 17 leaves one to wonder....What happened to the driver, what was up with the drama at the gas station, why did he take off if the police were not in pursuit (and I doubt that is true), and were any charges filed? And recently, the horrible tragedy of the College of Charleston students have had their families hounded by media (really poor taste) but what of the driver that caused the accident? What is his story, how old is he, was he drunk (pending tests is all that is said but ANY police officer on the scene could tell you), and WHY have there been no charges! Why are we left hanging with 1/2 of the story? Why are the reckless drivers being protected in the media when the victims families are being interviewed before they can even digest the fact that a loved one has been taken from them? Perhaps if it was reported what happened to these drivers, the consequences, maybe more drivers would think twice before speeding, drinking and driving, or just generally being an a**hole on our shared roads. read more

I started my subscription back in April and never received an issue. I call at the beginning of May to cancel and receive my refund. They told me that in the fine print, it states that if you cancel in the first 6 months you will not receive your refund. So I am now out 50 bucks and never saw an issue read more

If my husband didn't need the paper for his business we would cancel. The PAPER ITSELF is fine, but GETTING it delivered and having to deal with their Customer Service is quite another "story". It is beyond bad....no return calls, payments posted incorrectly, missed or damaged papers, etc. I recently had the displeasure of dealing with a very rude person who in short told me I didn't receive a paper because I was "behind in my payments..." after I had spoken with 2 different representatives who confirmed our credit card info. We pay quarterly but she continued her condescending attitude by offering to "set up our payments monthly". I think they basically hire people off the street that don't have a clue how to deal with the public much less post a simple payment. read more

Some days I get two papers ,but most days I don't receive any..I have called and talked with five people.. Don't ever try to sign up for a paper because if you cancel a day after paying for a whole month they refuse to refund you and take a month running you around in circles, after telling you you'll get a refund in two weeks and then when it doesn't happen they run you around in circles again and make up a reason to not refund you at all. The people who work in management at The Post and Courier are just scam artists and don't care about their customers whatsoever. read more
