Fernando always returned calls and communicated frequently with any updates, problems or concerns. His crew was hardworking and the work was beautifully done. Fernando moved some of our plantings to do the work but replanted our flowerbeds, mulched the whole front of our house and reseeded areas that needed to be reseeded before he left. Our house looks great, the price was reasonable and the quality of the work exceeded our expectations. I would highly recommend this company.

We waited for spring turn-on for weeks and weeks during a drought. We had to water our lawn, trees and flowers the old-fashioned way (garden hose and portable sprinkler) to save their lives. Meanwhile, Aqua Flow' apparently kept its phone off the hook 24/7 during all those weeks, probably because it couldn't handle all its customers' complaints. No service, followed by an absolute lack of communication! Was the owner laughing all the way to the bank? What a low-class way to run a business! No wonder the company gets such low ratings. We notified Aqua Flow that we are canceling the pay-in-advance contract and demanded a refund - due to lack of service. Still no response! Now we are taking legal action to get our money back. A Google search reveals that previous court actions were lodged against the company. BEWARE! Don't even think about doing business with Aqua Flow. Jamie Waltz will literally leave you high and dry.

What that means is they turned the knob right to turn off the water to the pipes that lead to the outside then went outside turned that knob left to drain any water in that specific pipe. And sent an invoice for $60! Then a female calls and says to my mother "look sweetie" Real condescending. Then she starts yelling and I hung up. I suspect they do this to a lot of seniors that don't know. These people are not reputable and are unprofessional.

They cut the trees, cleaned up the yard and took all the waste, including huge stumps, filling in the holes! The pines were stuck half way up another tree. They were so careful with the tree still standing that you can barely tell there was an issue. The branches across the fence were from a tree in our neighbors yard. They recommended we get permission from the neighbor, we did so they went in their yard, cut the branches close to the tree and since the neighbor wanted to keep the wood, they cut it up and left a small pile of logs. I cannot recommend them highly enough. They always do a professional job, stay within their estimate, and go above and beyond in terms of service. We will always choose them for any outdoor service! Great people!!

Our family has the benefit and sometimes, the burden, of a challenging, but beautiful 2 acres in Fox Valley. We're on a hill that slopes from the front of the house off to the back corner of the property. Although we do our best to maintain the lawn, over the years, it's gone from a nice, lush lawn, to a patchwork of invasive grasses, eroded dirt patches, and has unfortunately become a mess of compounded problems. The owner, Pat, came to our property, surveyed it, and within a short visit, diagnosed all of our problems to the T. I was impressed by knowledge of the grass types, nutrients, and micro organisms (I'm not a scientist) that we needed to get things back on track. Pat took the time to explain why things worked the way they do, and his attention was so much appreciated. We have had estimates and quotes by other well known companies in the area. The usual, seed, spray, aerate, re-sod method has become a joke and it's clear after the visit by GV Farms, that the other companies were pretty much clueless as to our specific needs. Even better, Pat knew how to get our lawn back to it's optimal level without spraying crazy chemicals or using products that aren't safe for our kids or grandkids. AWESOME!!! :) We are thrilled to find this company and happily trust them with our lawn care maintenance. Way to go guys!!!! Keep up the wonderful work!!!

When he asked for payment, he somehow for got the original quote he had given me and added $300 additional to the cost of the job. My advice to others is to get his initial quote in writing - I did not and took his word that he would remember. I called and asked him to return and fix the mess and I haven't seen or heard from him since. It's been about a month and nothing from Mr Garcia. Next time I'll just call the real pros and just pay the cost instead of trying to work with these small local guys who really don't know what they're doing. I think they just get lucky in some cases and some people might get decent work from them, but it's probably 50/50 on what type of results you'll get.

How lucky were we?!? If you're in the market for any flooring work, it is worth reading on to find…read moreout. Jim and Andrea were the last company to give us a quote for a fairly complex floor refinish/install and thank goodness for our perseverance. Our pre-finished builder grade Bruce hardwood had a pretty good bevel, multiple spots on the floors were worn through the finish from previous owners' dogs, there was some inconsistency with the install that occurred 20 years ago when the house was built, not to mention water damage and we wanted to add hardwood where there was carpet in the family room. We were beginning to lose hope with previous 4 quotes ranging from "we can do it, but..." to a disheartening quote from a well known local company that is considered high standard in this area. I'll name drop simply because others feel compelled to name drop on their critical reviews. My quote from Ziggy's consisted of Ziggy wandering into my open garage and knocking not at my front door, but at my garage door. It was him coming in and basically saying I can't do anything you're asking for. He said, "you can't sand that bevel out, you'll end up with uneven finish and splinters, it will splinter. I've been doing this for 30 years and I teach this stuff. You can't sand out that bevel." He said this even as the other three quotes to this point indicated it was absolutely possible. "You won't be able to make the new floors look like they belong with the old floors." Also not true. Aside from spending half of the quote touting his credentials, Ziggy was also very dismissive of anything we had in mind and simply told us what he envisioned with our floors; it felt as though he didn't listen at all and was only quoting us for what he was willing to do. 10 min after his arrival, he was gone and we were on to the next...we were frustrated because we were being told by one professional who had good ratings that it was impossible to complete this job and then by three other companies that they wouldn't be able to do what we were asking...but could do it half ass for x amount. Boy, were they ALL wrong. Jim and Andrea came into our home with a keen eye and plenty of recommendations for a perfect finish and they quoted us to ensure the floor was done correctly. They were here for about 45 minutes to really get a feel for what it was we wanted to accomplish and to visualize it with us. It wasn't a matter of IF we wanted it done correctly or knew enough to ensure we asked about having it done correctly, they simply said "we can do anything you want, but this is how you do what you're asking for." They were very reassuring that our situation was not unique as others had made us feel. Jim, who I learned is a MASTER in his field and actively trains his peers (he received multiple phone calls while on our job from other flooring professionals with text pictures asking how he would properly complete a job and he even lent tools to another peer who had a tool break in the field) in this field, not simply high school wood shop. He did a GREAT job explaining the process both before and during the refinishing/install process. I also found that although he doesn't like to brag about his education and training, he has more cumulative hours on very specific finishing methods than most do on flooring in general (upwards of 16k hours). Couple all of this expertise with the fact that we didn't have to move out of our house for a week or more and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. Our floors have been finished for over a month now and I have recommended Jim and Andrea by mouth to close friends in the market for floor refinishing. It took them coming over once to see our floors to convince them to give Jim and Andrea a call. If you're getting frustrated with quotes that you've been given or you've had a bad experience with a nightmare refinish, give them a call! I can't recommend them highly enough. See before and afters below (no splinters and the shadow lines prove it's perfectly even!).
