The staff is extremely helpful and kind, and really take the time to give you a tour and explain everything in detail to you. The prices are very reasonable, and I loved that they had a package to try out all the other beds! They have that option at other salons I've been too but there's usually an upgrade fee to try out the different beds so this was very nice! The salon itself is very clean and has a welcoming atmosphere! An added bonus, not only do they offer tanning but they had massages, they do nails, AND have a dance studio in the lower part of the business. I've been looking for a dance studio for awhile now but everything was always out of budget. But the prices here were beyond affordable, I will definitely be signing up for the classes as well! I highly recommend this place, it has a very personal touch to it, and the staff actually take their time to make sure they can help and answer your questions. This is definitely a great place to start tanning if you've never gone before because they walk you through the process and help you figure out starting times and keep it all logged! Uhm...no, but you are welcome to take a picture of it with your phone. I said no thanks! I'll just go back to my regular salon, that DOES have printed hand outs right on the desk! And SHE smirked and said OKAY! I will say mine was the only car in the parking lot and they didn't have anyone even IN the salon tanning! This is poor customer service when you don't have a pricing guide, or business cards even, sitting on the counter top. It is sooo close to my home, but I WILL continue to drive to J&N all the way across town from me because they have fantastic counter people and wonderful customer service.

We were planning to get manicures, but with that attitude, we promptly left and took our business elsewhere. The next time I went in was to tan in the beds. Again, it was just "meh". The prices were outrageously expensive for any sort of "package" (aren't those supposed to be a better deal than the single use!?). The beds seemed outdated. They looked outdated, there were little fans in the rooms to cool you, instead of built-in fans in the beds. There were CD players? With radios in them? Very outdated. No music playing, so while tanning it was awkwardly quiet. Not to mention they don't offer any type of discount or package for students. And no I'm not talking high school students, I'm talking college students who pay thousands of dollars for an education who do not have $100 + to buy a monthly tanning package. Poor service, outdated equipment, &overpriced for what you get. A very "meh" experience.

Their beds are new, clean, and serviced constantly. I've been a client here for 6 months and I have never seen a bulb out in one of the beds. The girls are prompt and efficient at the front plus super friendly. I never feel like they are pushy on trying to sell me something either. I've visited both south Elgin and Elgin locations. 'm going to start with the associates are very nice. I needed to get a base tan before going on…read morevacation. After a long and length process to have me buy a tanning package, which I declined, the total cost of 3 tanning sessions and the cheapest bottle (without tax) of tanning lotion, $60, Total was about $190. My first session, (bed #12), was awesome with the misting feature and air conditioning , It was absolute outstanding. I did notice that the room floor was filthy and there was lotion on the walls. That was concerning at the least. My second visit was very different. I arrived in the early evening and was promised that I would be using the same bed, but, in a different room. That was fine with me! Once I entered the room, I attempted to start the bed which it was not the same. Very different way to start the bed where the power button was on the wall .the original bed started inside the bed. I had no clue how to start the bed. I called the front desk from my cell phone while in the bed and was immediately put on hold. After waiting for approximately 3 1/2 minutes, I finally was able to raise the associate at the desk. The associate at the desk informed me that this particular bed needed to power up with the power button on the wall instead of on the bed as before. After that, I turned the bed on and everything was fine. During the 10 minutes session, I hadn't received the periodic misting feature? The session was over. I exited the tanning bed, got dressed and spoke to the associate at the front desk again. I obserserved the associate on her cell phone with the speaker feature on talking to a friend, I'm guessing, at the front desk. I informed her of the issue not having the misting feature. She immediately informed me that she wasn't sure why that wasn't working then replied, "oh, it must be out of mist? That's a two person job. One person has to be at the desk while the other person refills the bed. No one else is here so sorry.". After speaking with the associate for a few minutes, I was expecting, a credit towards a month pass. Something for the aggravation. Yet nothing was offered A few days later, I returned to the salon again and requested the bed that I had the first time, I asked, and I was informed that the bed did have misting agent within it. I informed the associate at the desk of what had transpired a few days before as for the reason I was asking. She was very nice, but, again, did not offer for me to speak to a manager or make any reparations for the situation. I finished my tan and left. I don't expect to return again. It has nice beds, if they are working properly, needs a really good deep cleaning, but, entire experiance really left a bad taste.

Her appointment was at 2 pm and my Husband arrived with her at 2:07 pm. They refused to see my young daughter through no fault of her own and without any advance notice of said policy. Had we known, I may have risked taking my daughter myself instead of requesting help from my Husband. I wanted to inform other customers in case they potentially run into an emergency that may make them "5 minutes late" as we were not extended that courtesy. We were simply and quite unfortunately turned away. Although, I do believe my Husband and daughter were discriminated against as I do not see this "policy" listed anywhere. If it is, in fact, a true policy, I would recommend the salon make their customers and potential customers aware in advance as the only heads up we have ever received was their policy on 12 hour cancellation.

The owner Chris first off took over a week to respond back to my complaint about my credit card charges. Instead of him asking me what happened he listened to whatever his receptionist told him when I talk to her on the phone. Mind you this was not the person that I had engaged with on the 10th. Saying that I paid with a card and that I changed my mind to use the gift card which was a lie. Chris said he cannot refund me my card because of a new system that was installed. He proceeds to tell me to call my credit union and dispute the charges. I called my credit union and explained the situation. They said that it doesn't work like that. I reach back out to Chris and he has not responded back. I have yet to receive my refund till this day. I'm putting this review on all platform. No one should have to experience this his customer service skills is horrible. I'm also reporting this to the Better Business Bureau
